I've absolutely loved living in this flat for the past 4+ years. Being in the heart of Yarraville, it is a short 5 minute walk to Yarraville Train Station, the Sun Theatre and all of the other shops in this great community. I work near Flinders Street and the commute is about 25 minutes door to door (18 or something minute training ride) The flat is nice and cosy, with a shared lounge room, bathroom and kitchen - the available bedroom is approximately 3 x 3.5m with a built in robe and captures the afternoon sun. Aside from being in a great location, the courtyard is what i've enjoyed the most over the past few years, being off set from the street (Schild Street frontage) - its private and spacious.
Amazing two-storey house near Yarraville train station, 15 min from Flinders st. The house is situated in a quiet are, near Anderson st where you have bars, cafes, shops and The Sun Theathre, an art deco cinema. IGA store is at 5 min walking distance and Coles at 5 min drive. The house has a nice back yard to chill. And we even have a new cat pet! Internet and other bills are separately but it's usually around 100 more! There's an air con in each room and one in the living room. We also have a spare room for guests or storage if you have too much crap!
ABOUT THE ROOM: It is the larger of the two bedrooms, with a large built in wardrobe, and a large window. The room doesn't come with the bed, however my current housemate is selling the bed if you want to purchase it. It is a short walk (about 7 minutes) to Seddon Train Station. It is also a similar distance to Seddon Shops, and Yarraville shops. It is a nice quiet area and I have lived here for over two years with no problems. ABOUT YOU: Ideally, you will be a kind, honest and respectful person, who is easy to get on with. You will share a mutual respect for personal space, noise, privacy and property and will be reliable with paying your half of the rent and bills! I'm looking for a room mate to move in from the 31/april/2018 with a potential to stay long-term if the dynamic works out. The ideal person will need to be 25 years or older, employed, with a permanent job or contracted part-time job to sufficiently pay for rent each calendar month in advance ($1,000 pcm = $250 per week). You'll be sharing with myself - a fun, outgoing female. The person will need to be a non-smoker with no pets permitted. Happy with a male or female, gay-friendly too, but it's important we 'click' but we can get to know each other when you come visit and check out the room. The room has a built-in wardrobe with plenty of storage and comes complete with a full-length mirror as the middle door. The separate kitchen and dining area provides full amenities for cooking, dining with a four-stove top, grill, oven and microwave (there is no dishwasher). The house has induction heating throughout all rooms, with a split-system air conditioning unit for heating and cooling. There are two bathrooms – one with a toilet, and the other with washbasin and built-in shower/bath unit. There is a good-sized back garden area with seating, ideal for barbeques, washing line, leading around the house into the attached garage. This is a separate area that can be used for other activities, but you can also use it for car parking (even though there is a car parking space available in front-of the garage off road and down a driveway). There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine (no dryer). The price advertised includes gas, electricity and water utilities per month. The house also comes complete with WiFi and superfast unlimited NBN broadband internet (negotiable extra per month if you wish to have this included). Yarraville itself is a buzzing community with a 'village' feel less than 10 minutes walk away. Yarraville has the famous Sun Theatre (cinema), many restaurants from brunch to dinner, shops and a 5 min walk to the local Coles. Public transport is also very convenient with buses just around the corner to Williamstown, Seddon, Footscray and High Point Shopping Centre. The local train station in the village also takes less than 15 minutes to get to Melbourne CBD. Available for viewings Mon-Fri daytime, or anytime at weekends. I'm Hayley and I grew up in hawthorn and went to school at mlc. I've been in the north the last 5 years and am now in the west. I'm looking for a place inner west. I have worked for 11 years full time as a production assistant for a book and film production company but decided to follow my true passion, fashion. I have been doing modelling on and off for the past two years as well as studying it online. I'm also actively looking for work and receive centrelink. I am clean and tidy, reliable, respectful, friendly, easy going and trust worthy.
House-proud, clean, social, respectful, communal furniture, team ups only. discussed in more depth below. Hi All, I'm Andrew, A 29 year old Disability Support worker. I value friendly, courteous, mature people who are proactive in self development and considering others and the environment around them. I am very house proud and reflect this within my ideals of cleanliness, which is centred around the idea that we clean up after ourselves in communal areas after use and maintain our home and furnishings to a high standard to reflect how proud we are of our home. Living within the home I respect my fellow housemates by doing my best not to disturb them while sleeping or relaxing. I enjoy time together in communal areas as much as time to myself in my room, whether it be sharing dinner together, playing a boardgame or simply having a chat while we occupy the same space. I enjoy sharing the good and bad parts of our days and offering each other inside from a third person perspective. I consider housemates as family. I'm looking to start a home with people who are like minded and encapsulate the above. My hobbies within our home would be playing video games, cooking, gardening, the occasional dinner party or board games and relaxing on my bed. My leisure pursuits outside the home usually consist of Cultural events, visiting friends to play video games or watch movies/tv shows, lasertag, assisting friends with renovations, camping, going to the beach, and a range of other random activities. My work as a Disability and Aged Care Support Worker sees me working weekdays and weekends assisting people to develop and maintain a value of life they aim to achieve. This involves me cooking or cleaning for people, assisting them to access the community or teaching them skills to live their lives as independently as possible. I have all the basic furniture and appliances to furnish a house. This includes an l-shaped grey couch, a hexagon shaped table, rugs, a large one door fridge, upright freezer, large front loader washing machine, tv and more. Most of these are just over a year old. Thank you for reading my profile and feel free to send me mail if you think we reflect similar values and could create a great home together.
I’m an easy going, down to earth osteopath and part time student. I love to counterbalance work by seeing my friends and getting outside - anywhere! I’m seeking a sociable share house where we can all hang out together and feel comfortable in our home. Whether this be exploring new cafes, sharing a bottle of vino or indulge in a Netflix binge session I’m down. I am also independent and value having time by myself to read, paint and contemplate life in the shower. I am an adaptable open person who is happy to work together on how we can make our place into a fun restorative little oasis.
Hey guys! I am Bao, I'm originally from Adelaide. Moved to Melbourne about a month ago now. I have recently completed my Masters in Visual Arts specialising in Photography. I moved to Melbourne solely to be more productive/creative in my work. I'm currently working full time and able to pay rent/bills on time. I am pretty experienced at living in share houses having done so in the past 3 years. I do enjoy spending time with house mates, either sharing a dinner here and there, brunch or sharing some wine. quite big on wine! I'm quite neat and enjoy buying plants and gardening (if theres a veggie patch in your garden that's a bonus (have quite a green thumb). I can be pretty active, recently got into bouldering. Feel free to ask me any questions you like cheers :) NOT AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT & WORK FULL TIME!
Hi lovely people! What am I looking for? - Somewhere fun to stay with awesome housemates - Looking to stay for either a few months or for the long haul with the option of subletting my room when I go off for more than a month at a time (e.g. going to europe sometime this year) - Would be great to have outdoors or sports loving housemates that enjoy things like climbing, cycling, hiking, tennis or whatever else - A backyard would be amazing Why would you want me as a housemate? - I'm out of the house most of the time, working, I have things on most evenings and I'm often out for days or longer at a time on outdoorsy adventures - When I'm around, I like to be social, have a chat, share a beer or a wine, a meal, a movie or anything else happening - Got plenty of board games, and always keen on games nights - I have a car with plenty of space and a towball to help cart around big things - I enjoy working on projects around the house, and keen to do some gardening (by way of experimentation!) Frequently asked questions: - I was born here. Lived in NZ for awhile, and now back in Melbourne - I'm house trained. I'm not a neat freak, but believe things work nicer when dishes are cleaned soon after they are used (or the morning after if it's near bed time), objects are not blocking the walkways, and lawns are mowed - No dramas whatsoever about anyone's race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation - Left leaning, not that others need to be, but we'd probably get along better if we all were :) What you should know that might be an issue: - I would like a place where couchsurfers or visitors (anyone's) are welcome time to time - I like dumpster diving and won't hesitate to join anyone else willing or invite others - I'm mostly vegetarian but don't care what others eat / don't eat. Happy to be vegan in the house if others are
-Found a place!- Hi, we just moved down from Brisbane about a month ago so keen to meet new people and make friends! :D We're hoping to find a place that is friendly and welcoming but also allow us to have our own space. We quite often like to share laughs, movies, and meals with our housemates, but don't want a party house (outside of BBQ's and birthdays etc). We're respectful of other people's space but are looking for flat-mates rather than flat-humans. Homes are better than houses. I'm Karen (25) a full-time working professional as a risk engineering consultant for a culture change firm, likes to laugh, likes to eat, but also likes to chill in my room. Matt (31) studies environmental science and outdoor rec at Victoria University full-time, is very warm and happy, likes to get out and about, and likes to eat more. We love pets (but don't have any) and plants (we have 2) so if you have some that's awesome, but would prefer a place without kids (visits are definitely cool though). We're not in a rush to move into anywhere, so we will take our time to pick a great spot but if you think you're awesome and would love to hear more about us, just let me know!
Hayley is quirky, creative and a major hippie. I love Zeppelin, animals, hiking and yoga. I'm uber clean, a coffee snob and a seasoned bibliophile. Lachie is also creative, enjoys music, writing, anime and experimenting in the kitchen. We are very quiet, enjoy keeping to ourselves, privacy and keeping tidy. We have 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs who are our absolute heart and soul. Please do not message if you are not willing to accept them, as we will not part with them and find this extremely rude. Thank you.
My name is Sam and I am 26 years old. I'm from England although I am an Australian citizen. I have been back in Melbourne for over 2 years. I work full time as an exercise physiologist. I'm a keen sportsman, playing football 3 times a week and golf when I get the chance. I enjoy a good night out, although I also enjoy relaxing at home at the weekend.
