I'm looking to move into an existing sharehouse around mid-late October onwards, with move-in date flexible. I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at the University of Queensland, where I also tutor par-time. I'd describe myself more of an introvert than a party person, but I love a good wine or a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon. I generally go to UQ about 3-4 times a week and otherwise work at home with my dog. I have a gorgeous 2 year old west highland terrier called Louie! He is desexed, up to date on all vaccinations, etc. He is generally a pretty chill little dude to live with and likes to sleep and sunbake as he pleases. He is an indoor dog and has always had access to common areas (e.g. living room). He's a friendly little guy, so if you too have a dog I'm sure they'd be great friends, but it would be great for them to meet first.
I'm laid back and social, but have my own life and aren't annoying. I always pay my bills & rent on time and am very tidy. I'm also a reasonable cook. I also have a fluffy, white wolf dog named Waffles and everyone who has ever met him has wanted to steal him. Such a good boy.

Comfortable apartment with room to share, just across from Moorooka train station, and just off Ipswich Road. Bills and internet included, plus most modern amenities with air-conditioner in the kitchen-lounge, fans in rooms, plenty of fridge space (plus a chest freezer if we need it), washing machine, dryer, gas oven and cooktop (currently no dishwasher or microwave, and there's no shared TV, just my Mac for internet TV). The house is partly renovated, I get motivated every now and then, so there's some old things, but a nice new bathroom (that photographs poorly) and very functional but slightly improvised kitchen. The common area is super open plan, and I've set things up so it's easy to move around furniture to accommodate large groups for dinner or games, or have a cozy seat in front on the internet TV, or a big empty space for impromptu yoga or wrestling. There's also a private courtyard and a balcony. Rent is negotiable around a few factors, including room size, use of shared space, garage and length of stay. Moorooka is a great little convenient location if you haven't explored it. There's a great variety of food in the area, Rocklea markets just down the road and Toohey Forest half a suburb away, for runners and walkers. Note, we are just off Ipswich Road, if you are sensitive to road noise (doesn't bother me, but it might bother you). Note, my outgoing flatmate has some furniture. It's not great, just a desk and a squeaky IKEA bed. He's probably going to get rid of them, let me know if you'd like them to stay!
I have a spare room to rent out in my 2 bedroom clean and spacious townhouse. The room is decent sized with a queen bed and double built-in wardrobe. The bathroom upstairs is shared, but there is a 2nd toilet downstairs also. There is air-con in the living/kitchen area, although downstairs is mostly fairly cool so I don't tend to use it much. It has an open kitchen/lounge/dining, and the garage (which is carpeted) is another lounge area so it's easier to have individual space when we want to. There is also a small space with a lounge upstairs to chill out. It is a great location for public transport, with bus and train within 500m and only a 10-15 minute drive into the city. Woolworths is less than a km away. Electricity/gas/water is included in your rent, and you'll just have to organise your own internet as i have a sweet deal sharing with my neighbour.
