Moving from Sydney and currently staying with a mate until the right place pops up.
Primarily I’m looking for a place to myself that I can sublet/Airbnb when I’m not in Melbourne/Australia, as I can find myself traveling around 3–4 months of the year. That said, I’m open to teaming up with someone on a similar wavelength — ideally someone comfortable with that arrangement, with the same flexibility going both ways if they travel. My budget can stretch to $600/week (happy to spend less lol) and I’d be keen on somewhere spacious, well furnished and ideally with a couple of living spaces.
About me: I’m three years into running my own business in the water engineering space. I’m pretty active — tennis, Muay Thai, ultimate frisbee, gym, yoga and running — and keen to make the most of Melbourne, whether that’s events, exploring different suburbs or getting out for a hike. I’ve spent the last few years digital nomading and am now “settling down” and setting up an Australian base.
Housemate-wise, the biggest thing is probably just clicking. Beyond that, I’d want someone financially secure, responsible with the house, and fairly open-minded. I can generally see the merits in different points of view and probably wouldn’t gel with someone who needs everyone around them to think exactly the same way.
Ultimately I’d be hoping to create a great home environment that adds to both of our lives. Shoot me a message if any of that hits home :)
