My name is Guilherme, but I go by Yoshi.

I'm moving to Brisbane to start a research job in plant genetics, currently still in Adelaide. Happy to meet online for now, but will be in Brisbane over the Easter weekend, when I hope to align a visit and/or a coffee. I am aware that the distance and lease dates may be an issue, so I'm happy to discuss possible arrangements :)

I'm active, clean, friendly and respectful, looking for a friendly and wholesome vibe near UQ, to move into in mid-April. I come with Harry, an adopted blue tongue lizard. I'm well familiar with house-sharing, having shared homes for almost 10 years around the UK, now in Aus.

I'm looking for personality compatibility with the housemates, rather than just a place to sleep, so please keep reading only if this is your vibe too. :)

The basics: I'm friendly, respectful of personal space and privacy, communicative, and contribute to house chores. Amongst my many interests, I'm a science nerd, I love anything nature-related, sustainability and social issues, and lead an active lifestyle with gym, running and swimming. Social time is typically spent with the above, shared meals, board or video games, deep chats. Quiet time is usually spent with a good fantasy book, TV, or gardening - big plant dad here...

The ideal housemates are also friendly, communicative, and respectful of quiet time. LGBTQ+ acceptance is a must. The ideal house features I'm looking for would be space and a garden (I'm happy to help looking after it), plenty of natural light. Depending on space availability, an office is something I would consider.

Pets are more than welcome - I've always lived with dogs and cats. Sidenote for cats: cleaning often is a must because of mild allergies.
