Beth and Luis

Hey, we're Luis and Beth! We are a couple of marine biologists moving from Victoria (recently we were Deakin University students) to Hobart for a short 2-month job at IMAS and U Tas. We are looking for a 1 bedroom or studio flat, or a room in a sharehouse from about March 1 - May 1, 2026 (although we can be flexible with the exact dates if needed).

We have a beautiful cat named Echidna who will be coming with us, so we need to find a pet-friendly home.

We will be quiet housemates or tenants, as we expect to spend a lot of our time in the lab, at the office, or out in the field. When we're not working, we are looking forward to exploring the city and traveling further afield for camping, fishing, hiking, and scuba diving. We both like to cook and try new recipes, and Beth loves sharing treats and bread she has baked. We'd enjoy spending time with our flatmates having a game night in (board games, or we are deeply competitive Mario Kart players). We would also be a strong addition to your pub trivia night team if you need a couple of science geeks with good taste in beer.
