Tallulah and Alan

We’re a professional couple originally from the UK, now settled on the Gold Coast.

I’m a qualified mechanic working full-time for Mazda, and my partner Alan is a full-time Event AV Technician working across some of the Gold Coast’s key venues. We moved to Australia in 2022 on student and working holiday visas, built professional careers, and have been invited by the government to apply for permanent residency, and are now awaiting the outcome.

We’re looking for a home where we can continue living together on the Gold Coast, ideally within around a 20 minute commute of the CBD. We own a car and a motorbike, so secure parking is important to us. A garage would be a huge bonus! We have our own furnishings but can be flexible.

We have an excellent rental history and references, and take a lot of pride in being good tenants. Before moving to Australia, we rented the same property in the UK for five years. Since arriving here, we have spent the past 4 years living in the same granny flat on a family property in Carrara, with an impeccable rental history.

We’ve been very fortunate to have great landlords and have always developed excellent relationships with them. Sadly, our current landlord now needs the space for family circumstances, which is the only reason we are looking for a new home.

We’re clean, quiet, mature and considerate, and are looking for a long-term home with a landlord who values the same respectful and easy-going relationship that we’ve enjoyed with our current landlords.

Before our current careers, we both spent 7 years working professionally as musicians and music teachers in the UK.

Outside of work, our interests include music, fitness, mechanics, plants, animals (although we don’t have any pets) and cooking.

We’d love to find somewhere we can treat as our home and look after as if it were our own!
