Pia and Hauke

Hey!

About us:
We are Hauke & Pia, a very easygoing German couple with loads of shared flat experience. We are looking for a room or (if in budget) a small flat. We will move to Sydney on December 29th and stay for at least 1 year, depending on the visa situation.

What brings us to Sydney:
We both work full time in (Strategy) Consulting and decided it’s time to fulfill our shared dream and move to Sydney, a city we fell in love a few years ago. Hauke has lived in Australia before, Pia was in Australia on holiday in 2023 & 2022. We plan to find new jobs in Sydney and have saved enough money to bridge the time between jobs.

What we do for fun:
- Pia loves spending time outdoors, going on long walks, running, being active in general
- Hauke loves watching and talking about all types of sports. Also he loves swimming and is looking forward to taking up surfing again
- We share a love for good coffee and exploring new areas
- not really the party types, but love a good espresso martini

Our experience living in shared spaces:
- Hauke and I (Pia) have been living together for a over 2 years
- Hauke has lived in shared flats in Bondi and Melbourne before, as well as in Germany
- Pia has lived in 3 different shared flats in Germany during her studies

What to expect from living with us:
- we are very reliable and respectful
- we prefer a clean flat
- we love to be social, but know from our own experience that there will be times when you rather close your door
- we believe in open communication and are always approachable if there’s issues
