I’m currently looking for a HomeShare-style living arrangement with a mature, friendly homeowner who has a spare room and might appreciate some help around the house in exchange for reduced rent and shared bills.

As a qualified tradie, I’m happy to assist with practical things such as small repairs, maintenance, lifting heavy items, gardening, or general household help when needed. I’m reliable, easy-going and have a good sense of humour, so the goal would be a comfortable and friendly living environment for both of us.

I’ve actually had a very positive experience with this type of living arrangement before. For five years I shared a home in Bankstown with a lovely lady in her mid-50s from church. We lived together from 2019 until March 2025, when the owner sold the property and we both had to move.

During that time I helped with many things around the house — fixing small issues, shopping trips, driving to Bunnings, lifting heavy items, and general help when needed. It worked very well for both of us. She now lives in a government seniors village and we still keep in touch. She would be happy to provide a reference if needed.

A bit about me:

I’m 40 years old and work full-time Monday to Friday for an Australian remedial construction company. My trades include carpentry, waterproofing, painting and decorating. I hold Certificate IV and a Diploma in Building and Construction, and I also have an NSW contractor licence.

I come with my own van (VW Caddy) and tools, so helping around the house is very natural for me.

Personally I live a quiet lifestyle:

• I don’t drink alcohol
• I don’t smoke and have never used drugs
• I mostly focus on work, gym and home life
• I usually eat outside or order food, so the kitchen stays very clean
• I don’t bring friends home or create noise
• In the evenings I usually relax with my laptop or iPad and headphones

I’m also a volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES).

Originally from Central Europe, I’ve been living and working in Australia since 2014. I have a clear police record both in Australia and overseas.

At the moment I rent a small studio in Petersham, but living completely alone can get a bit boring — it’s mostly work and home.

Ideally I would match well with a mature, positive and easy-going person who enjoys a calm home environment and might appreciate a reliable and practical person around the house.

I’m very flexible regarding arrangements and happy to meet for a coffee to see if we might be a good match.
