Hi! I’m a 30-year-old Kiwi professional who moved to Brisbane last year. I’m currently living a little south of the city, but I’ve realised I’d really love to move back closer in and am looking around South Bank, West End, Woolloongabba, Kangaroo Point and surrounding inner-city areas.
A little about me: I love hiking, getting outdoors and exploring, and I’m pretty social and always keen for a coffee, drink, walk or adventure. At the same time, I really value having my own downtime and am looking for a flatmate who’s similar. Ideally someone I can genuinely become friends with and hang out with, while also being completely comfortable doing our own thing. 🥰
I’m definitely an early-to-bed, early-to-rise person (usually asleep around 9–10pm and up around 5–6:30am), so someone with a reasonably similar lifestyle would be ideal. Depending on work, I also work from home around 1–2 days a week.
I’m looking for a room in a newer-build, ideally two-bedroom apartment, preferably with:
- An ensuite, although I’m flexible
- Double glazing and decent sound insulation.
- A gym in the building, with a sauna being a huge bonus
- Semi-furnished would be ideal, but again flexible
In terms of living space. I like keeping my home clean and tidy, but still feeling like an actual home, plants, flowers, nice little personal touches.
One important disclaimer: I’m a Kiwi attempting to survive Brisbane summers 😂 so I do like using the air-con when it’s hot.
I’m a non-smoker and am looking around the $350–$450/week mark, excluding bills, although I have some flexibility for the right place/person.
Ultimately, I’d love to find someone around a similar stage of life who wants a friendly, relaxed and respectful home. somewhere we can have a chat or glass of wine together, maybe head out for a hike or brunch occasionally, but also happily retreat to our own spaces when we feel like it.
