I’m in my late 20s and currently living in Melbourne while doing my PhD in sustainable manufacturing and machine learning at Swinburne. I’ve been here for a little while now and I’m planning to stay long term, so I’m hoping to find a place that feels like a proper home rather than just a room.
I’m looking around the inner east - Malvern, Armadale, Hawthorn (East), Richmond, Glen Iris, Toorka, Kooyong, and South Yarra or anywhere with good transport. Budget is roughly around $300/week (flexible), and I’m open to furnished or unfurnished rooms. I could also provide a lot of outdoor furniture if needed (table, bbq, heaters, tools).
I’m easy-going, clean, and pretty organised. During the week I’m usually busy with uni or in the lab, but I love having a friendly, social home environment—cooking together, the occasional movie night, checking out a new café, or just chatting over dinner. I’m also very into sports and the outdoors: tennis, running, biking, coastal trips, and discovering new spots around Melbourne.
I enjoy a good balance between being social and giving everyone their own space. A calm and respectful environment is important, especially with a research schedule, but I’m always up for spontaneous plans or a weekend adventure.
If you’re looking for someone who contributes positively to the house vibe and keeps things clean and relaxed, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to chat or meet.
