Hello everyone! 🌟

I’m Ole, and I’ll be moving to Melbourne on January 22, 2025, to begin my PhD in engineering and machine learning at Swinburne University. My program will last at least three years, and I’m looking for a cozy, friendly place to call home. For the first 3 weeks I will stay on the campus, but I am flexible to move in earlier.

I’m hoping to find a room in the CBD, Hawthorn, Richmond, Prahran, South Yarra, St Kilda, or any east/south Melbourne area with good transport links. My budget is flexible, but I’d prefer something around $300/week, ideally with bills included. I’m open to furnished, semi-furnished, or unfurnished spaces.

A bit about me: I’m relaxed but clean, social but respectful of personal space. I enjoy good food, wine, and beer — and I’m always up for a shared meal or a quiet evening in. I’m also big on nature and the outdoors, so hiking, biking, fishing, and exploring are my go-to activities. Traveling and discovering new places are important to me as well.

Since I’ll be deep in research, having a calm, clean, and friendly environment will be essential. I’m looking for housemates who value a balanced home life — a space where we can have friendly chats, share experiences, and respect each other's downtime.
