Cristy and Cheyne

Hi!

My name’s Cristy.

I'm seeking a long-term tenancy along with my partner, Cheyne, that we hope to establish with the values that stem from our core principles of respect, transparency and mutual reciprocity. This encompasses our relationships with others and extends to the high standards by which we maintain and care for the home we live in — from each cupboard space to every garden bed!
It’s the cornerstone that allows the creation of the functional, well-organised, and peaceful living environments we like to foster and uphold.

Our ideal household is one that also has a quiet, calm, and respectful atmosphere where we are able to contribute positively to the household - ideally a one bedroom studio apartment/granny flat or a 2 bedroom house or unit.

We treat the home as a calm base and, whilst sociable, are quiet. We’re deeply mindful of personal space and the needs of those around us and wholeheartedly understand the importance of privacy and the respectful use of shared spaces, which extends to outdoor areas as well. Proper consideration is always shown towards neighbours and surrounding properties (e.g., quiet hours and neighbourly goodwill).

We take genuine pleasure in keeping a home clean and orderly. This isn’t a chore for us — we proactively maintain common areas and any outdoor spaces seamlessly. You’ll always find our spaces, and any shared areas, spotless.

We are reliable, established tenants with solid references and a proven history of paying rent and bills punctually — you will never have to chase us.

I am a freelance editor, proofreader, and academic researcher passionate about indoor plants and photography, which combines my creativity with attention to detail. I am currently completing my final semesters of my university Undergraduate Certificate in Professional Writing and Publishing, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and would love to help maintain — or be a part of creating — any garden or outdoor area. Cheyne is a builder who does his own contract work and is always happy to carry out any maintenance tasks that may arise. Cheyne is also an avid nature lover and will always be found grossly immersed in a new book.
