Faiyaz Hassan

Hey everyone! My name’s Faiyaz (like Brent Faiyaz), and I’m an international student from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I’ll be moving back to Melbourne for my Master’s in Economics at Monash by the end of February 2026.

I previously lived in Melbourne from 2020 to 2023, when I completed my undergrad at Monash. I’m into video games (though I haven’t really played anything lately), soccer (unfortunately, a United fan, still hoping for brighter days), and music (constantly evolving taste). I’d also call myself a sucker for good food, and I can’t wait to get the Beli reviews rolling again (I just started).

Personality-wise, I usually keep to myself (usually an introvert but a well-rounded social battery might summon the extrovert in me) and focus on schoolwork, but I’m always down for a beer or two to unwind, a chat, or a proper weekly housemate hangout like movies, games night, or whatever (very HR-coded, I know). I’m really into coffee, art, and fashion too, so cafe hopping, thrifting, or gallery runs with the flatties sound pretty great.

Most importantly, I like to keep my space clean, especially shared spaces. I get very icky when things pile up or look visibly messy, so I’d love to live with someone who feels the same way and sees keeping things tidy as a team effort ❤️
