I’m Maisie, 25 and I’ve recently moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I’m currently staying with my family in Frankston South, but am looking to move out by the end of February/beginning of March. I’m keen on finding a long term sublet in a cosy stylish home, with likeminded people who are also in their mid/late 20s.
A little bit about me, I studied environmental sciences and international development for 4 years in the UK, so you can count me in on any interesting conversations about climate change, politics, feminism etc! Day to day I like a slow paced life; having a good routine, going on walks, grabbing coffee, heading to the gym or a yoga class. I love thrifting and exploring vintage shops, visiting art exhibitions and museums. I enjoy quiet nights in watching movies, reading a book and eating chocolate, but I can never say no to going out for drinks at a local pub or a cool bar. Drink in one hand and digital camera in the other!
I’m hoping to land a hospitality job in a nice bar for the first 6 months whilst I settle in, and then my long term goal is to find work that’s related to my degree. I’m determined to stay in Australia for as long as I can and make this experience worthwhile! I’ll have enough funds to see me through until I get a job, and I have lots of share house experience from my time at uni so I understand the importance of maintaining a clean and tidy space and paying rent and bills on time.
