Hello! I'm new to Australia and here for the next 9-12 months (maybe longer) for a working holiday! I'm super excited to be in Melbourne and experience living somewhere new! Back in the US I was a pool operations manager, so I know swimming, cpr, and how to read a manual in order to do some basic repairs/replacements if needed. I'm working on getting my lifeguard certificate here, but I'm also looking into other jobs closer to the city center.
I'm looking for a private room in a good location at a decent price, and some basic furniture (bed & dresser) would be preferred. I always make sure to take care of shared living spaces by doing dishes and cleaning up after myself... but I might occasionally leave my room a bit of a mess for a few hours when I end up tearing through my closet to find an outfit I like, but I'll always refold all my clothes when I get back.
I don't need a parking spot; I always prefer to walk or take public transit instead of driving. I'm fairly quiet most of the time and I'm more of an introvert, so I won't be bringing over lots of people, but I love hanging out with more social people and I can sleep through a lot, so I'm fine with roommates who like to party more than I do.
