Madeline and Sebastian

Hello!
We are Madeline and Sebastian and we are looking for a calm and comfortable place to call home in Hobart, close to the city or within easy cycling distance.

We’re ideally seeking a one-bedroom flat/apartment, studio, or granny flat, but are also open to sharing with up to one or two others if the setup allows for a bit of privacy (our own bathroom and a car space are minimum requirements). Our budget is up to $450 per week, and we’re hoping to find somewhere for around 6 months, with potential to extend.
Madeline works part-time in the arts and hopes to set herself up to create from home. She also enjoys relaxing with films or games, keeping a tidy, cosy, well-decorated space and she plays clarinet from time to time. She's interested in finding casual community care work to compliment her work experience and interests.
Sebastian is a musician who plays guitar, sings, and plays piano/keys when he comes across them. He loves reading autobiographies and poetry, studying German, and gaming. He is considering commencing tertiary education soon, and also work where he can help others with their needs.
We keep ourselves pretty busy between our hobbies and we enjoy getting outside, exploring new places, attending local events, galleries and exhibitions, and going on walks or day trips in our van. We like to get up early and go to bed early.
We’d love to live somewhere where we can comfortably listen to music while spending time at home, and occasionally play acoustic music (instruments and vocals) for our creativity and enjoyment, always being mindful not to disturb others.
We’re respectful, friendly, and value a peaceful home environment. We enjoy socialising but also really appreciate our downtime. We’re tidy, communicative, and mindful of shared areas and like the idea of being able to have friendly neighbourly chats. We are open to the idea of a shared garden- Sebastian has experience in establishing and maintaining vegetable and herb beds, and also has worked in landscaping and garden maintenance. Madeline is experienced in light home renovation and maintenance duties, has a knowledge of tools and materials and interest in making minor home improvements. We both have experience and a love of taking care of animals (of all kinds).
We are smokers, but only outdoors, and we always dispose of cigarettes responsibly.
We’d love to find a place (potentially with housemates or close neighbours) that feels relaxed, respectful, and creatively inspiring.
