Hi,
I’m an easy-going professional woman looking to team up with someone in North Melbourne, West Melbourne, Footscray and Kensington. Currently, I'm in North Melbourne but the owner is selling so I have to vacate by September.
I was born and raised in the US but have lived in Australia for 26 years.
I’m pretty social and am often out a couple of nights during the week and on weekends, but I’m not looking for a party every weekend house. I do throw an annual Xmas party every year! I enjoy cooking, catching up with friends. I'm looking for a relaxed household that's social but respectful of personal space. I enjoy having friends and family over occasionally for dinner or lunch and would love a friendly home where people are happy to chat, hang out, or share a meal now and then while also respecting each other’s space and independence. I appreciate a clean and tidy space. I realise my budget, up to $450 per week, might be high for some so happy to pay more if someone's budget doesn't match mine.
I'm active so I hit the gym most days, love shopping at the Vic market, seeing a movie at the Nova on Monday nights, bike riding and swimming at the beach in summer. I'm Chair of a local community garden and member of a book club. I love live music and get to the Forum, Night Cat and Northcote theatre often. I'm always going to something at the International Film Festival, Rising festival and International jazz festival.
I work for the University of Melbourne and work from home one day a week (usually Fridays). My hours are generally 9–5.
I also have a lovely 6.5-year-old cat named Babu. He’s very well behaved, quiet, and affectionate in his own way, more likely to perch on his chair or hide under the bed covers than sit on laps! He enjoys being around people but is very low-maintenance.
I have living, dining and outdoor furniture plus fully stocked with kitchen and dining supplies, so someone would only need their bedroom furniture. Someone looking to share for 12 months or more is preferably but will consider something short term.
