Hi Everyone,

I'll be coming down to Melbourne for an internship next month and am looking for a short-term sublet from mid September to mid December.

My ideal move-in date would be somewhere around the 19th of September but I'm pretty flexible. My budget is $330/week.

I'm a filmmaker (male, 31), originally from Germany, and did my Master's at AFTRS here in Sydney. I'm a very easy-going person as well as a clean and respectful housemate. When I'm not working, I usually try to go out and catch up with friends, hit the gym, watch a shit ton of movies, go see a gig or work on film projects of my own. I'm big into sports (mainly NFL and a bit of AFL), recently started training in Muay Thai and like to get the occasional surf in.

One thing I worth flagging is that the internship will mainly be WFH. I'll do my best to sort out a workspace (that isn't also my room) so that I won't be hanging around the house all day, but there are going to be those days where that will happen, so I understand that this may not be for everyone. If it's any consolation, I plan on picking up additional work on weekends which would take me out of the house (and off the wi-fi).

I don't know heaps of people in Melbourne yet so would be cool to find a place that has a social vibe where you do stuff together from time to time while also being able to do your own thing (you know the drill).

Preferred areas are Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood, Brunswick, Northcote, Coburg, Yarraville, Footscray, Brunswick East, Fitzroy North or Carlton North but happy to consider other suburbs if the vibe is right. Same thing applies if your dates don't line up perfectly or only partially - happy for any leads!
