Hey! I’m James, 29, and I’ve recently started a new job in Brisbane CBD after a few years working in travel. I’m pretty easygoing, social and always up for a chat, but I’m also respectful of people’s space and understand that sometimes the best housemate interaction is a brief kitchen conversation followed by everyone disappearing back into their respective caves.

Outside of work I’m usually out exploring, planning my next trip, checking out somewhere new to eat or drink, watching something far more ridiculous than I should, or generally trying to convince myself I’m going to become a morning person.

I’m clean and tidy without being precious about it, happy to contribute around the house, and definitely keen for a place that feels like a home rather than just somewhere we happen to keep our stuff. I’m equally happy having a few drinks or dinner with housemates as I am having a quiet night in.

I’m currently single, but I do have a strict “don’t shit where you eat” policy, so I’m not planning on turning the sharehouse into a dating experiment. That said, if you happen to have a single friend you think I’d get along with, I’m always happy to hear the elevator pitch 😂. And if bringing dates home isn’t the vibe of the house, I’m more than happy to respect that too.

I’m looking for a friendly, relaxed household with people who are up for being social from time to time but also respect each other’s space. Bonus points for pets. I will absolutely become friends with your dog before I become friends with you, and there is a non-zero chance I will attempt to steal your cat, particularly if it’s orange.
