When I’m not overseas, I’ll most likely be working in outdoor education, at a rock climbing gym and/or as a bike mechanic. Outside of work, my lifestyle is heavily influenced by my desire to challenge myself physically and mentally, running taking up most of my time. In terms of what to expect from me in a household. I’m incredibly clean, respectful, and can handle any conflicts in a mature manner. I’m a huge fan of cooking family meals, watching sports/movies together, games etc. I’m very social, but will happily give people space where needed. Hi! After finishing a master's in Geology/Earth Science degree in the Netherlands I'll be starting a PhD at University of Adelaide. So I'll be working full-time during the week, and will need to be somewhat close to the University. But, I'd love to be close to the beach or hills as I like living surrounded by the outdoors, but having the city within reach. For specifics, I'll arrive some time in Oct-Nov and I'm here to stay for at least the next four years. About me, I'm from the U.S., a vegetarian, and love to run (roads and trails). I admire the ocean and have a teeny pipe dream of becoming a beach lifeguard full time. So, after uni work you might find me swimming, checking out a trail, or perhaps looking at some rocks. I've been living in shared housing the past five years and have found that good communication and the occasional choco chip cookie night helps to maintain a good living environment.
