    Amber

    $300/week36 year old woman

My name is Amber. I’m a 36-year-old Master's student at UTAS and I work as a supervisor in hospitality during the evenings. I’ve been based in Launceston for the past couple of years while studying and working, and I’m now looking for a share house that feels like home. I'm a non-smoker, tidy, polite, and pretty easygoing. I love a chat over a glass of wine but I’m also respectful of personal space and downtime. A peaceful, clean kitchen is my happy place! I also have a green thumb and enjoy spending time in the garden or heading to the beach with my dogs. Speaking of which, I have two very sweet, older dogs: Elsa (11) and Zappa (13). They’re low energy, cuddly couch potatoes who love to nap nearby while I study. They're quiet, gentle and mostly just follow the snacks and sunshine. They sleep indoors who enjoy being around people but are super chilled. One thing to mention: After about a month of moving in, I’m planning to travel for up to five months (super flexible) and I plan on spending time with my Grandparents in the UK. During that time, I’d continue paying rent and I’d be totally open to someone else subletting my room while I’m away. I’d be hoping to leave the dogs in the care of housemates while I’m gone, of course with clear arrangements, all food and expenses covered, and lots of gratitude from me! They’re very easy to care for and would mostly just want to nap near you. If that’s something that could work for the right house, I’d love to chat more! I’m flexible on the move-in date for the right place. Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you! Amber

    Dylan

    $300/week30 year old man

A bit about myself; I'm 30, single, non smoker, no pets I'm pretty quiet, easy going and get along with most people well. I like my own space and mostly keep to myself while trying to keep out of your way but I am also social, like having a chat and am up for cooking or sharing a meal or going for a hike or whatever we have in common. Enjoy getting out of the house or having a crack at new things, or checking out new food venues etc. Will pull my weight around the house and pay bills/rent on time - I've lived in share houses before so I know how things work and most importantly how to be a good housemate! Attributes - clean, quiet, reliable, dependable, respectful, trustworthy, understanding, courteous and considerate with good etiquette (well aware of my housemates, neighbors and surroundings) also financially smart and stable. I'm also understanding of different cultures, beliefs and religions etc. Hobbies - I enjoy cooking, fishing, camping, gardening and I'd like to get back into things like hiking, mountain biking (pretty much anything outdoors) and maybe even join some type of team sports and do some forms of volunteering once back in Launceston I've just completed Cert III in Warehousing so once my three weeks of work placement is out of the way (and if that doesn't turn into employment) I'll hopefully pick up work within a few weeks of completion (as I'm not fussy and will work nearly any kind of job) and if all I can find is part-time hours I'll take the opportunity to complete / obtain some more licenses, courses and certificates until I secure something with full-time hours. (I am extremely good at budgeting and am very financially stable right now) I'm flexible with stay length, I'm most likely wanting to stay in Launceston for at least a year or two as I don't like moving around a lot but 3-6mths stay length or shorter could be possible and may suit me fine. The main things I'm looking for is a reasonably priced room in a nice clean house, in a good location with easygoing house-mate(s) hopefully that share some similar interests .. but I'm not overly phased as I'm pretty flexible and easy going with most things .. cheers !
