    Osama

    $250/week27 year old man

My name is Osama. I’ve been living in Australia for over six years. I run my own businesses here and overseas, which gives me a stable income, and I sometimes take on side projects or gigs just for fun and variety. I also continue my psychology studies at Swinburne University from time to time — it’s an ongoing interest that I dip in and out of, though not my main focus. I live simply and travel light. For me, a home is more about the people in it than the things inside it. I don’t have a fixed location in mind as long as it’s within Melbourne and feels open, welcoming, and not like a cage. I really love animals — I enjoy seeing them in the wild or in big open spaces with other pets. That said, I prefer not to live with indoor pets, so I’ll admire them from a respectful distance and call myself the “weird guy” who loves animals best when they’re free. What I value most in a home is a calm and respectful atmosphere. I like living with people who are kind, mindful, and open to communication. I’m easygoing and considerate, clean in shared spaces, and a non-smoker. Socially, I enjoy balance — sometimes sharing a tea, meal, or movie, and other times enjoying quiet independence. Either way, I respect the rhythm of those I live with. I’m drawn to households that lean toward intentional or mindful living: open communication, simple routines, and the sense that home is a place of belonging, not just a roof. I’m not interested in dealing with agents, because I don’t see living as a business transaction. I’d rather share a space with people who value community and comfort over profit. NOTE: The first 3 months are just to make sure everyone’s happy — after that, my plan is to stay for years. My budget is flexible with bills, and I’m happy to add up to $50+ if there’s a good reason. I can also be flexible with the moving date if needed — anywhere between November and December works for me if that helps. That was me in a nutshell — if you think I’d be a good fit, please reach out. And if any questions come your way, ask away, I don’t bite :) Thank you.

    Nura

    $400/week36 year old woman

🌿✨ Looking for a 3-6 month, fully furnished rental in Melbourne ✨🌿 Hi! I’m Nura, a 36-year-old Canadian on a Working Holiday Visa, and I’m looking for a beautiful place to call home while I explore life in Australia. ✔️ Open to: one-bedrooms, high-rises, apartments, or houses (happy with roommates too for cheaper rent of course) ✔️ Budget: $300-$400/week ✔️ Must be pet-friendly – I have a 3lb chihuahua, Peanut. She’s tiny, gentle, and has the heart and personality of a golden retriever 🐾 Prefer female household or queer friendly but open Been getting lots of messages from those living far outside of Melbourne and my chosen areas. I’d like to stay close to Elwood, St. Kilda, Prahan, Docklands etc A little about me: 🇨🇦 I’m a personal trainer and run my own cleaning company 🌊 I love being outdoors, especially by the ocean, gym, Pilates, active in general 🎙 I’m starting a podcast focused on healing childhood trauma ✨ Clean, responsible, reliable, respectful, quiet & aware of others in the home, and always on time with bills Love to cook, I’m not much of a party girl, I like the occasional drink here and there and socializing but appreciate downtime as well. Not sure exactly what Australia has in store for us yet, but I’m beyond excited to experience its beauty and connect with community here. If you have (or know of) a place that feels like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you! 💛

    Sam and Des

    $450/week28-36 year old women

About Sam (on the lease/main renter) 👩‍🔬 Hey! I'm Sam, 28 yo from Southern Italy (Puglia). I'm the crazy scientist of the family (apprentice neuroscientist 🧠) who loves travelling and discovering different cultures. Up til now, I have been co-living in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Singapore and Tanzania, building up adaptability and resilience. I'm a very sociable, open-minded, and talkative person; I love socialising, drinking wine, cooking and eating with people. In Melbourne, I will be working full-time as a research assistant at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience (Parkville). About Des (temporary visitor) 👩‍🎨 Des (36 yo from Singapore) is the artist of the family (freelancer creative in advertising), but also a free spirit and greedy traveller, absolutely in love with the wild beauty of Australia and NZ! Her dream has always been to move to Melbourne, and while she finds her way to do that, she will live in Singapore, but visit me every time she can. She loves beer, food competitions (Italian vs. Chinese is an interesting challenge), everything nature and adventure, and she is a *wizard of dumplings* 🧙‍♀️🥟! 🏡 What we are looking for: a FURNISHED couple's room in a shared apartment (possibly no more than 1/2 flatmates) or a studio. 🗓️ When: from around October 24th (flexible length of stay, min 6 months preferred) 📍 Where: we prefer Brunswick, Fitzroy, Carlton, North Melbourne, but other districts are fine too (within about 30 min. by public transport from Parkville). 💸 Budget: max. 500$/week bills included. Preferred: plenty of natural light 🌞, we love green & grass 🌳, Sam loves dogs 🐶, Des loves cats 🐱 What we expect and who we are as flatmates We expect open communication, respect and kindness. An absolute must for us is living in a clean and tidy environment (not compulsive cleaners, but a clean environment gives us peace). We’d like to bond with our flatmates, but we value privacy and personal space too. We generally like to have some personal space after working days, and be more active and social at weekends. Anyway, we will always be up for a chat or a food competition!
