My friends know me as very easy going and I can get along well with anyone. Honesty and respect are paramount to me, I don't stuff people around as i don't like being stuffed around. Lived on the GC for a couple of years now working as an ecologist, spent previous seven years in Central Oz. I start my new job end of this year with the office based in Fortitude Valley so I'm aiming to live within 30 to 40 minutes from there. Originally a country fella, like to think I'm very trustworthy, dependable, capable at anything, and good sense of humour (necessary for surviving in the desert). I mostly keep to myself as I am usually quite busy but I do have to get out there and do more fun things. I do enjoy a bit of exercise and aim to keep healthy. I have a great dane x, not overly big, which I know can be a challenge accommodation wise but she is truly beautiful, gets along well with other dogs, trained reasonably well and she believes everyone is here best friend (easily proven once people meet her). I may have to work away at times for a week, so the ideal place for me is where my dog is welcome to stay without me (I do realise this may be challenge!) or I may just have to put her in good kennel while I'm gone.
Hi! I'm Nic, and I come as a package deal with my well mannered 5yr old Alaskan Malamute, Moose. I am currently working as a casual groom/strapper for a horse trainer and I do some volunteer riding and training for a quarter horse breeder near Beaudesert. I enjoy equestrian activities and anything horse-related, training animals, archery, jousting, guitar and flute (I am considerate of noise levels and can use headphones when needed). I'm friendly and get along with everyone, but clean and keep to myself. Looking for housemates that are chilled out, responsible, financially stable, ideally active and enjoy the outdoors, and of course, will enjoy the company of a big, cuddly dog. Moose is super friendly, loves everybody, and is well mannered, desexed, flea/worm treated, house trained, doesn't bark or chew, but he will howl along with ambulances if he hears them! He's very gentle and tolerant of kids, cats, chickens and other pets. He is not incredibly well socialised with other dogs but gets along with most. It really depends on the dog. He does shed, but I own a very high powered vacuum cleaner to combat this as well as daily grooming and clipping in summer. Air conditioning is essential in Summer as we both suffer greatly in the heat, if the room is not air conditioned I have my own window unit I can install. I am very experienced with all animals (particularly horses) and am a good gardener, so I would be very willing to do work on the property for a reduction in rent, if applicable, by pre-determined arrangement. This includes cleaning or child minding. Location is flexible as I have my own transport, but anything in the Brisbane suburbs/outer Brisbane, though Southside is preferred. Rural areas are fine and I'm very much into permaculture, agriculture and anything to do with growing plants and livestock. Moose is not an escape artist or a jumper, but property must be fenced. I can supply some temp fencing if partially fenced. Please message me (I won't answer calls from unknown numbers) if you feel I may fit in. Thank you!
I'm a 27yr old full time uni student, studying accounting and I work casual hours as a stable hand at Tamborine. I'm looking for a property that will allow me to bring my large outside dog and I'm not overly fussed on the rest of the details. She is a de-sexed female and very, very friendly, but I do try to take her out with me when I'm not home. I also have family near by that will keep her if I was away for a few days at a time. I'm tidy and mostly keep to myself but enjoy a weekly meal out and occasional nights out. Looking for a room in a share house or would happily team up for 6 to 12 months.
I am a 35yo single father to a 9 month old daughter. I run my own business driving a car carrier and spend most of the week away sleeping in my truck. I am back in Brisbane most weekends (occasionally some week nights) and need somewhere to lay my head when I am not working. My daughter obviously lives with her mother and when i am in Brisbane I will be trying to spend every second with her that I can, so you probably wont see me a lot :-) I am an honest, tidy, well mannered, respectful man who cleans up after myself, always pays my bills on time, and respects the privacy and personal space of others. I am an introvert at heart, however I do enjoy company and good conversation with like minded people. I am a non smoker but I do enjoy a drink occasionally after a long week at work. I am focused on purchasing my own house and hope to do so in a year or two. I am looking for 1 male or female to share with. I'm not looking to move in to a party house or with a couple. If I sound like someone that suits what you are looking for in a house mate please get in touch.
Easy access to Beaudesert or Jimboomba, just turn left or right at the end of the driveway. The sunsets are glorious! All the rooms have ceiling fans. Internet is NBN. The wooden floorboards throughout make it very cosy and welcoming. The large front verandah is perfect for watching the mountains change colour. It's just a short walk to the local shop, butcher and bus stop. There's plenty of room to get away from each other when necessary ;) and it's surprisingly private. The neighbours are great, they keep to themselves, as I do.
Clean, tidy, non smoker. Definitely not interested in a party house or living here with people that need to drink every night, I do however enjoy the odd glass of red wine with dinner. Mature, have worked and lived on boats so am considerate and respectful of people's space.
House trained down to earth kiwi with a warped sense of humour and immaculate nose hair. I'm very tidy, considerate and pretty handy. Prefer somewhere that isn't overcrowded. Also require somewhere secure to park a motorbike. Thanks.
Hi prospective roomie(s)! I'm Nikki, 32 years old, currently working for Woolworths at Greenbank. I'm keen to find a(n inside) dog friendly house, and willing to pay up to $180 rent inclusive of bills (excluding food). I come coupled with a dog - he's a small Tibetan Spaniel who only stands a foot tall and weighs in at 11kg. Me: I'm quiet, respectful, always pay my rent on time and I do casual work as a cleaner so you know I'll always be neat, tidy and clean :) Benson: He's house trained, mostly quiet (I say mostly because he's not keen on doorbells!) and just absolutely adorable (slightly biased perhaps).
I'm a softy at heart, have been sharing and touring for 20+ years, been a drummer most of my life but now returning to Uni in brissy to study science. Will stay a night or two in bris sometimes, and often in Mullum/Byron so I'm looking for a ZEN DEN in NATURE to be my base. I see myself living in an environment that feels like I'm in nature, with space, light, fresh air, birds, frogs, hopefully dogs, an outside-in feel, and people who care about the energy of the house, the world, community and creativity. I am open to coming to the area any time between mid to late feb, and think 3 months might be a minimum with a view to live there while I do my undergrad (3 - 4 years) I have been based in the same house in Bondi, NSW for the last 12 years. I enjoy cooking, like to garden, love animals, do a spot of yoga, am well-travelled, holistic and diverse in my world-views. Naturally introverted, though known for a big personality when the occasion calls for it! I ultimately hope to share a peaceful, clean and natural environment, with gentle souls. I enjoy a great chat, very caring, and thoughtful. I also enjoy my own company, and will be resting, re-charging, studying, reading, writing a lot when home.
Needing a new place within a week or two for myself. I have a 2 year old son who will occasionally visit me. Quiet person, enjoy a good chat though. Love working on cars, listening to music and watching movies. Have had some casual jobs recently but nothing permanent at the moment.
Looking for a quiet place to call home? We have a property in North Tamborine and looking for someone to rent a room. The front room is large and fully furnished . The room is $200 a week including electricity, water and gas. The room has a queen sized bed. and a lovely big fan, ideal for sultry hot Summer's nights. Fully furnished 2 story house. Small balcony out front and large balcony out back Private yard 4th bedroom downstairs is used for storage and is not occupied. The house is cleaned every week (common areas). There is bed linen and towels available if you need them Feel free to contact us if your interested in having a look through. It is close to the bowls club and many restaurants. A great place to become part of the community or just chill. There is a gym over the road as well as the local swimming pool. Bush walks nearby if that's your thing. Please no drugs or drama.
I am quiet, I meditate, I spend my time on my own painting or working or out with friends, I'm an artist, not a party girl. However, I do socialise on occasions so I'm not a hermit. I work with people with special needs and with older people with home care needs. On occasions I work full time and other times it's part time. I would prefer a Granny Flat, Studio or 1 Bedroom flat.
Moving to northern rivers Dec/jan Looking for a place with snoop my pupster somewheres in the leafy parts preferably with a garden and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Would be super happy with a shed/shack on a property, happy to renovate fix up, negotiate. happy to socialize and get to know you tho I also like a decent amount of space :) Currently I study externally, so from home/library/cafe/wherever on my laptop.
