Hey There! We’re a lovely couple — Cam (37) from Australia and Chika (27) from Japan — with plenty of experience living in share houses, and we really know how to create a respectful and positive home. We work well together and enjoy connecting with the people we live with. We both enjoy our independence but also love sharing a meal, a chat, or just helping each other out around the house. We’re clean, reliable, and always happy to make life easier for those around us. Cam works full-time in operations at Origin Energy and is a former SES volunteer. He’s currently applying for the ADF Reserves as a drone operator and is pretty handy when it comes to tech, cars, or general DIY. Chika is studying a Graduate Diploma in Community Services and plans to go on to complete a Master of Social Work to become a qualified social worker here in Australia. She’s currently working as a waitress and brings a calm, warm presence to any space (and she’s an amazing cook too!). We’re looking for a place to call home for around 9–12 months while Cam completes a work secondment. We love keeping things tidy, enjoy a peaceful and friendly vibe, and value open, respectful communication. Rent paid on time, a neat, tidy and hassle free flatmate/tenant. An easy-going fellow. Sense of humour. I like my own space and sociable too. Looking for a nice somewhere for possibly up to 6 months, as a homebase: Hometown Adelaide is definitely on my radar (perhaps Wollongong too). To start asap as I'm living out of a suitcase these days. Sometime up the track (no fixed date yet) I plan to relocate to England. But for the time being I'd like to be more organised, settled and productive here in good old Australia. And have a home base to launch from for an occasional few-day trip (over to Coober Pedy in the mid north of SA for example, to do a video and poetic documentary on that interesting place -- the opal capital of the world). Currently working at career changing from teaching (and numerous other roles I've had over the years, such as a bus driver between Melbourne Airport and the CBD where, as my passengers and I trundled along the laneway into the Southern Cross Bus Station, the terminus for the journey from the airport, I would sometimes recite Shakespeare etc. for my passengers), to fulfill some long term goals. E.g., photography, varied research projects, and street poetry (23 times published...).
