Name is Michael Hickey. Have just been living and working in Canada for the last 10 months and it is nearly time to come home to Aus. Will be back around end of February 2019 so just wanted to start seeing what might be out there. Will be working full time Monday to Friday in an office in Southbank. Preference is that wherever I live that I would be walking distance to the office on Grey Street. Still very much open to surrounding areas though that are close to or are in the heart of the city. Willing to team up with 2 or so people if need be to rent a new place together. Very easy going. Like to keep things neat, tidy and presentable. Would be good to live with anyone who is much the same and enjoys a beer or an adventure of a weekend as well.
My name is Sam, I'm originally from Sydney, have lived all over Australia and for the last 7 years I've been travelling and working around the world. I have been back for a week now and I'm looking for a place to call home, ideally in Bris. I have my own company and work as a holistic health coach, I'm a qualified personal trainer and specialise in positive psychology and mindfulness. My true love is creation, and I'm focusing at the moment on my storying telling through photography, video and writing.
I'm hoping to move into a 2 - 3 bedroom apartment or house for at least 12 months (if not longer) with people around the same age as me. I work full time in Brisbane so can be quiet during the week, but on weekends I like to catch up with friends, go to the markets or out for dinner. I also appreciate a bit of down time to myself and can respect if you’d like that too. I like to keep communal areas clean, I don’t smoke and I pay my bills on time. If you think we’ll get along then feel free to get in touch if you have a room available! ** PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME about properties outside of the suburbs listed in preferred locations. I will no longer be responding to these messages **
I'm Torkil ("Tokyo" for those who can't pronounce my name) and I'm from Norway. I study IT at QUT and used to live in a student accommodation last semester. Now I want to move in with someone in a sharehouse or grannyflat for either 6 or 12 months! When I'm not studying I either do downhill longboarding, surf or hang out with friends. I'm an active person who likes to take initiatives on plans. I like to plan road trips or just a trip to the bar. I also work out once in a while when it's been a long time since last time. I do gymnastics and kickboxing, so if you are up for those kind of workouts, let me know! I love making food and won't say no to dinner with my flatmates. I'm usually up for a drink or just a chill night at home watching a movie (also spends a lot of time watching movies and TV shows, so would be perfect to have someone to watch it with). I'm also a person who likes a clean flat. I've got a job on the side where I create websites, so there are some periods where I'm busy working with that. I am looking for a couple of friendly and fun people (maybe 1 to 3 other people) to live with in a sharehouse! Also looking for people with the same interests of hanging out, watching movies/shows, go for a trip or other stuff. I really like 4101 South Brisbane, West End and Highgate Hill and would really like to find a place there! I was originally planning on moving in with someone from uni, but things didn't go as planned. I won't be back in Brisbane until the 15th - 17th of February and won't be able to go to inspections before that, but I am fully able to look for places online and help finding a good apartment! Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm an international student currently finishing my Honours degree in Psychology at UQ. I plan to either continue with postgraduate studies or get some work experience, so I will be around for a while. I keep busy with study and work, so when I'm home, I generally keep to myself but am always up for a chat. Not a clean freak, but I clean up after myself and stick to the cleaning roster.
I'm an 18yr old student, heading to brizzy to start uni. Pretty cruisy, I'll get along with everyone. Looking for a sharehouse or apartment, I'm clean and tidy and pretty quiet. I like playing music, surfing on weekends and just chilling out when I have time off work and uni.
Super chill and easy going. Like to keep the house clean and tidy. Always up for a chat but also require personal space. Hoping to find social like minded, but mature people. Working part time at the moment also lookong for full time job as Social worker
Hey! I'm Hussain, 28, currently a full-time student and also work at the airport. I enjoy new experiences, keeping fit at the gym, hiking and just being in nature. I love the occasional socializing and a drink or two every now and then. Clean, tidy and respectful. I'm also a pretty good cook ;) Ideally, I would love to be great friends with my future housemate(s) in that we get along, do things such as cook, eat, chill and hang out every now and then (no pressure haha) as opposed to being mere tenants with shared living spaces - it's not a prerequisite as i do understand we all have busy lives and varying schedules. The idea of a home rather than a house is appealing:) Preference for residences next to or at walking distances from bus/train stations and supermarkets etc.
I am a single mature female, quiet, responsible, reliable, non-smoker, social drinker, active and interactive but like my own space, occasional shared meals would be OK, looking to share somewhere in postcode 4101 with 1 or at most 2 other females. I work from home some days so need my own room with space for a desk and computer. Yes I am over 60 but please don't write me off 'cos of my age. I love movies and music, have lived and worked overseas and have some interesting stories to share!
My name is Amy!! I’m a 23 year old HR professional who works full time. I love to watch trashy tv such as the bachelor and love island, but if this isn’t your cup of tea I will gladly hide away in my room to watch it 😊 I love to socialise, however rarely bring friends to the apartment (and will give you a heads up when I do!) I am respectful of privacy but also love to have a chat over a glass of wine after work (I prefer cider but wine sounds classier 😂). I am a clean and tidy person, especially when it comes to the common areas. The person who moves in with me must also be clean, tidy and respectful. I’m looking for someone who is easy going and fun. Someone who is reliable with rent and is willing to put their name on the lease.
Im pretty laid back so generally get along with most people, i work full time and have to many hobbies which keeps me pretty busy in my spare time. I do like to socialize with house mates but also respect peoples boundaries.
Currently finishing my Honours degree, majoring in physics at UQ. I finish my degree in first half of 2019 and also work there part-time as a researcher. I like to think of myself as being very respectful and very tidy/clean. Looking for a place to stay closer to the city while I finish up my studies before heading overseas.
I will be joining the PhD program at QUT where I will focus on smart cities, gender and social justice. This means that my weekdays are desk-intensive and my weekends are out&out-adventures. Ideally, a furnished private room in the vicinity of the Gardens Point Campus would do the trick. Quirks and Foibles: •Chai is a daily ritual- it's my constant mission to perfect it. And there is the occasional cake I will bake and the curry I will try to make. •I love Splitwise... and making lists/infographics/charts and actioning them all out. I have been known to go on cleaning binges when generally guilting on life. •I walk EVERYWHERE...well, in this case, mostly to school and almost everywhere else---reasons include carbon footprint, understanding neighborhoods and staying local. •Adulting is hard and every comrade (incld. cats) counts. Gigs, climbs, poetry, meals, board games, hikes, beach, talks, Brooklyn 99, yoga, Handmaid's Tale---I'd be up for all of it, with quiet/focus time factored in.
I’m a very friendly and outgoing person. I enjoy being active and outdoors and am always very busy. I love company but value independence and personal space. I am clean and am very respectful of others around me. I enjoy going for drinks but also value quiet nights in. I love adventures and being with friends :) I am in my final year at uni, and am working in the city around that.
Looking for a single room somewhat close to city. I am polite, clean and respectful. I'm slightly nerdy, super chill and a great conversationalist, but I can and respect privacy and boundaries. Will vibe hard with anyone who is obsessed with game of thrones. Looking for something that is furnished and relatively close to the city.
I am a student at UQ and working part-time. I was living in Australia for 1 year. I am an Industrial Engineer and now doing a masters in Environmental Management. I am a sporty guy who loves music, cooking, craft beers, keeping active in general. I am looking for a place quiet to study but a the same time funny to share meetings, music, games, going out, some drinks, drinking games :p and experiences. I d prefer a place with English speakers, to improve my english but latin brothers and sisters always welcome :)I am a respectful and organised person I ask the same for my flatmates :). Cheers
I’m a quiet and social person. I’m joining the navy in 6 months and I’m bartending in the city in the meantime. I’m very new to Brisbane so I don’t exactly have the best network to be throwing loud parties
Hi, I’ve just moved to here for a new job and I’m looking for a room to rent. Brisbane is a new city for me so I’m looking to make some new friends and explore the place. I will generally maintain a busy lifestyle, as I like to stay active and I am a Civil Engineer/Project Manager working for the man from Monday to Friday in the CBD. However on weekends I’m pretty social and like to hang out with friends. I’m relaxed, tidy, easy to live with and always down for a chat but respectful of space when needed. Let me know if you’re interested
2 females looking for a great space to live in Brisbane. 1 full time employee and 1 casual/student. Would prefer a pet friendly place for 2 cats but flexible. Not party animals, though we do enjoy dinner and board game nights with friends.
