I'm an expat; born in the UK, raised up in the Middle East, eventually finding work in NZ in 2012 where I had lived until immigrating to AU last year. Some good investment decisions and a change in personal circumstances had afforded me the opportunity to take a sabbatical from my usual line of work (Human Resources) to explore more creative pursuits. I’m real relaxed, tidy and quiet. I enjoy a drink with the house every now and then but I am not a party animal. I enjoy photography, computer things, walking, hiking, camping, self-development, philosophy, sociology, psychology. Harmonious: I am a very agreeable, generous, considerate person and you will need to try very hard to piss me off. Don't bottle it up, raise it with me - I may have a different perspective but I won't be offended and maybe there is an agreeable compromise we can find. I'm a proud introvert so there will likely be days you don't even see me, but far from being asocial, I'm often chatty and cheerful and I seek authentic connections with people. I am diagnosed and medicated for ADHD (inattentive type). What that looks like is sometimes, when speaking with someone, I start daydreaming for a few seconds before snapping back to the present - in such cases I'll usually interrupt you saying something like "I'm sorry, I phased out, what did you say?". It also has its perks; I'm carefree, spontaneous, innovative, unconventional. I don't think I ever hyperfocus on conversation, but I do sometimes for ideas or activities; the most common way you will experience this, particularly on mornings where I have taken my ADHD medicine, is I might go on cleaning sprees. It probably isn't that I find it messy, rather I myopically become focused on a task so much so I can forget to eat! Most people find it endearing and I'm very easy to get on with, but if you're a list person or need to plan out every minutia of an activity we might need to be consciously tolerant of one another when these situations arise. My most annoying habits are whistling to myself or tapping out a beat on whatever solid surface happens to be in front of me in that moment. I also infrequently take unjustifiably long showers. Those are the ones I’m aware of at least 😅
