We are a Chilean couple, our names are Dominique Troncoso (30 years old, female) and Bastian Fernandez (30 years old, male). Both of us are on a Work and Holiday visa, nearly starting our third year. We have previously lived in Cairns, Townsville and Groote Island, and we’ve just arrived in the Gold Coast. Thanks to our experience living in different parts of Australia, we understand the importance of keeping a place clean and respecting the other occupants in the house. We are professionals: Dominique is a tourism professional, cosmetologist and yoga instructor for children, and Bastian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. We are a polite and respectful couple, very friendly, and we love going for walks, discovering new places, and being in contact with nature. One of our main goals during this time is to improve our English and fully immerse ourselves in the local culture. We are very motivated to learn and are already looking for job opportunities in the area. Based on our previous experiences in the country, we’re confident it won’t take us long to find work and in the meantime, we have savings to support ourselves comfortably. We are passionate about traveling and getting to know people from all over the world. We enjoy learning from other cultures and exchanging stories. We don’t smoke. We’re looking for a private room, granny flat, small unit or separate living space that’s furnished. We are ready to move in ASAP. But right now I’m hotel hopping and spiralling ✨✨✨✨ It’s just me and my two elderly chihuahuas, Peaches and Lorenzo, and an Oscar fish called Barbie. They’re tiny, sleep most of the day, and are used to apartment living. They get along well with other small dogs, so toy breeds are totally welcome — they usually sort it out between themselves and love the company. (Ps chat gtp totally thinks Barbie is cooler then what she is so I’m not fixing it 🥹 I work in the adult industry — never from home — so I’m out mostly at night. The lifestyle’s a bit unpredictable but I’m easygoing and respectful, just not your 9-to-5 type. I’m looking to live with someone who’s chill, real, and okay with the occasional chaos that comes with late nights and a fast-paced life. No judgement here — if life’s been a mess lately, you’ll probably feel right at home. I’m not after a sterile or hyper-clean place — more something that feels lived in and warm. Definitely not suited to super professional types chasing silence and structure. I’d love to live with someone who gets that life’s weird and messy and just wants some good company through it. No family around and most of my friends are either equally overwhelmed or raising toddlers, so I’m hoping to rebuild a little support bubble again with someone who gets it.
