Klay
$320/week•29 year old man
Hey, I'm Klay, 30 y/o, full-time stonemason, part-time music nerd :) (headphones always on) I'm usually in my room, making music, gaming or watching something random. I'm tidy, easy to live with, LGBTIQA+ friendly and respect everyone's space. Geek & Greek, art lover, wine enthusiast, coffee connoisseur and many more when you'll get to know me. Just got a job offer from Preston, so I'm looking to move somewhere closer like Brunswick and Coburg. If the house feels right, I'm in. Let's make some memories! I get along well with people who have a bit of empathy. If you're introverted, that's totally fine, I can be the same at times. No need to pretend to be someone you're not. I speak five languages (English, Turkish, Macedonian, Greek, and a bit of Spanish), and I’m currently learning French. Always keen for a casual language exchange, it’s one of the best parts of living in a multicultural city like Melbourne.

Jack
$350/week•25 year old man
Hi, I’m Jack from the USA! I will be on a working holiday visa for a year and will be in Melbourne at the beginning of September! I am looking to move into a place ideally with other people in their 20s. I like hanging out with people and having a good time. I can get along well in groups but also especially like 1 on 1 conversations. For hobbies, I play and make video games and also watch a lot of movies. I am generally a clean and relatively quiet person. As long as the common areas of the flat are clean and it’s not too noisy that’s good with me! I plan on working part time, I will look for work after I get a place to live. I also want to see any potential place and meet any potential flatmates in person before committing. We can just meet at the place and then maybe grab a coffee afterwards!

Carmen
$280/week•26 year old woman
HELLLOOOO!!!! 👋 My name is Carmen, originally from Sydney I have been travelling for about 1.5 years now and it’s time return home to the gorgeous country of gumtrees. And obviously I don’t need to explain why I don’t want to live back in Sydney 🤣 I am a happy-go-lucky gal, very easy going and love to laugh and have a good time. Very open minded, would love to live in a home with other like-minded people. 🚴♀️ My passions are in environment and sustainability. I LOVE wildlife and getting out in nature for camping, hiking and wild swimming etc. I am also very into building community, socialising and I love going out for a boogie. My lifestyle in Melbourne I imagine to be very much outdoors. I would love to join a casual AFLW team, cycle and run around the place, learn roller-skating, learn dancing, join the choir, volunteer in local community gardens, going out to gigs etc. Very looking forward to getting into it. Although I do not have a job set up as of yet (as I am posting this ad quite early), I will be looking for a job in environment and sustainability as that’s what I’m qualified for. Or I would be looking into stage technician stuff as that’s what I was into in Sydney. I would be hoping to work a 4 day work week. I’d say I’ll be visiting sydney and going on road trips quite often too. I’m a morning person, but also happy for an occasional late one, would love to respect each other’s work schedules as per loud house in the evening etc. 🏡🎊 I am looking for a social home, ideally want to make friends with my housemates. I don’t want to live in each others pockets and love some quiet time myself but would love to get along well, maybe have movie and music nights, have little get togethers (friends allowed to come to the place sometimes) and share baked goods, maybe go out for an occasional bevvie. It’s fine if you’re not into all the socialness with a fellow housemate but would love to live with people that accept friends coming over on occasion. Would love a good level of cleanliness, particularly with dishes etc. I would love a household that’s great with mature and clear communication with each other. No passive aggressive stuff, let’s talk about our problems constructively. 🧹I am a very clean housemate, would love to get more into cooking (with travelling I have missed it heaps), I would love a decent enough kitchen. I just did a yoga teacher training so I would love a space in the home or a backyard/courtyard space where I can practice. You would be more than welcome to join sometimes or I’d be happy to share some advice with body movement things. Would also love to have a garden space in general, would love to do some veggie and herb gardening aswell as a lot of sitting in the sun with a cuppa. I would call myself a spiritual person and love learning about everyone’s different stories. 🛌 As for furniture stuff, I would love an established enough household but I own plenty of kitchen things, food processor etc. I have bedroom things for myself sorted (happy to chat if there is pre-existing things). If we need more things to furnish that house I am happy to source them myself or together. Would love to have a household where we feel like equals, not a space where one person feels they should be in control of everything as they have lived there the longest (sharing this fear from experience 🤣). Sorry I wrote a crazy amount. I hope you like me and I like you and we can love living together
