HELLO! My name is Alex and I'm moving back to Canberra from Melbourne in a couple of weeks :) I'm pretty flexible with dates and ideally would like to live somewhere close to public transport to get into civic to go to work. I like to read and listen to podcasts and also love indoor plants! Happy to be involved and help out around the house but equally happy to spend some time in my own company! Please message with any questions or anything like that! Happy to have a chat :)
It’s 10:30pm. I’m tired. I’ll put this in later haha. Or ask me :)
Hello Everyone! My name is Michael Chauval and I'm looking for a room for 2019! As I write this, I am living in Yabuli, China working as a Ski Instructor. I will be coming back to Canberra in Early March to continue my studies at the Australian National University. As you can guess, I love to ski! I'm also very active in sports and trying to become a healthy individual. I enjoy prioritizing work and being busy. So I do enjoy personal space but I also enjoy being social. I am very flexible in terms of living arrangements. If in need, I can always offer ski lessons haha! I've lived in share housing arrangements for the past 3 years so I am also familiar with different standards of household expectations. If you would like to have me as a sharehouse/friend, please don't hesitate to send me a message! I look forward to coming back to Canberra!
Hi, I'm Suzannah. I'm currently looking to come to live in Canberra from country NSW. I'm a friendly, and tidy person. I'm always up for a chat or a drink or two, but I also respect personal space. I am a pretty active person and always try to keep myself busy. I enjoy music, sports and fitness.
Returning to Canberra for study and job hunting, after working in the UK and South Sudan. Looking for a room available now or end of March at latest. I like sharing dinner and a glass of wine, perhaps having a few others over to do so as well, but not after a party house. On a weekend I'll be heading out for frisbee, running, hiking, with a bit of that through the week too - a spot (on road/off road) for a car is needed. I enjoy keeping communal spaces clean. Would be great to live with people in their mid 20s-30s. Unfortunately sneezing mess around cats :( , and not keen on smoking households. I'd like a room with a window, plus space for a double bed and a small desk. Most importantly, I'd love to meet housemates as well!
I'm a 30-something public servant, living and working in Canberra since 2014. I've lived in a sharehouse in Campbell for the last 5 years and am looking for a room in a mature, considerate sharehouse in a leafy inner suburb. While I enjoy my own space and like peace and quiet during the work week I am a cheery house guest and happy to enjoy a cuppa or movie night on the weekend. Tidy and considerate, I'm very happy to do my share of household chores and am a keen gardener. I have a cat, Oswald, a ginger tabby who is very talkative, but friendly and enjoys cuddles and belly rubs. He will be your friend if you feed him :) He is currently an indoor/outdoor cat. If you think Oswald and I would be a good addition to your household we'd love to hear from you :) Hannah
Single, public servant, looking for a chill LGBTI inclusive abode. I'm house trained, clean, can't cook, can do laundry, and can't dance (but I still do anyway). Introverted but still sociable and respectful of people's space and time. Always up for a chat when I’m burning my dinner. Lil bit of a GAYmer, have came first in Tetris 99 once or twice. Can play a tiny selection of board games and enjoy a good cry. Looking for a home rather than just a place to crash. Send a message if you think I might be a good fit. Look forward to hearing from you.
I'll be moving to Canberra in late February to start post-grad study in Anthropology at ANU. I've been in Melbourne this last year but have moved around a little, including a year in Canberra in 2017. I'm quite looking forward to returning! I found I fit frightfully well into the Canberra mould (this challenged me ;) ) I run, yoga, like film and making things, gigs in town and leaving town. I think I'm a pretty easy going housemate. I've lived in a few share houses with people I didn't know beforehand, and while I've never exactly sought a share house 'family,' the pattern seems to be that I adore my housemates and really enjoy hanging out with them. I imagine I'll be pretty focused on uni, but would also like to leave it at uni - I'm keen to live with people who are not tearing their hair out writing a thesis and to be part of other worlds. I'm sometimes very busy and social and sometimes much at all. I cherished my mountain time and Smith's time equally in the last Canberra stint. I'm reliable (with rent etc.), I like things clean and am happy to be there keeping them clean (as long as I'm not the only one!). I’d love some garden space for potting and pottering. I'm keen to share with up to four people who like peace and laughter at home.
I'm a final year university student which means I've had my fair share of share house experiences and therefore am considerate towards others, and clean up after myself. I study business information systems and Japanese, and can also speak Chinese, not fluent though, so would love more practice. I respect the privacy of others, but am also keen for social gatherings, depending on the mood of those around me. I am looking for a private room, which my girlfriend can come and visit sometimes.
Public servant, new to Canberra. Good tenancy record (all full bond refunds). Looking for a room, I have a lot (a full house worth) of whitegoods and furniture too.
Hi there, I'm Jay and recently moved to Canberra from Sydney to start up a grad position with the APS. Generally pretty relaxed and love doing outdoor activities particularly hiking, snowboarding, camping and swimming, but also down for more chilled out things like playing video games, board games, having a drink etc. I also like to keep my place clean and tidy (I love vacumming for some reason). Ideally looking for a private room in somewhat close proximity to Civic and/or Brindabella. Feel free to shoot me a message about anything :)
HI there! I am a Master's student at ANU (final semester yaay) looking for a new place to call home now :D I have previous share house experience - Tidy, social and pay bills on time. Lemme know if you have anything for me :)
Hey future housemates! I'm moving up to Canberra in March to do a masters by research at UNSW Canberra, originally from Melbourne. I just finished my undergrad in aerospace engineering, and have a permanent position as a naval architect. I like to get out and about, go camping in the bush or head to a bar or cafe, but also appreciate some down time. I've lived in sharehouses for the past 8 years and never had a problem. I respect other people's space and privacy, but am always keen for a chat, drink, meal or adventure when we're all around :)
Gday! My name’s Liv and I’m looking for my next sharehouse in Canberra to call home. Originally from Brisbane, I’ve spent the last 4 years in Canberra inner North sharehouses and have the shared living routine nailed. I love cycling, Peep Show and pot plants and spend most of my free time outdoors or relaxing with a glass of vino and good book. Work Monday for Friday and study part time! Looking for a friendly, warm house vibe but obviously respectful of privacy and space :)

Hi! We are Langdon and Michael and are two university students at ANU looking for 2 bedrooms either sharing with others or as a single property, ideally before the start of the new semester. below you will find a description of each of us. We would love to hear from you! My name is Langdon and I'm going into my fourth year of university at ANU and am looking for a place to live this year. I am from a small town in rural NSW but I grew up in Argentina and America so can speak spanish and have traveled quite a bit. my hobbies include the outdoors, photography, music, and exercise. I am always happy to chat over a beer or to play a game of cards or scrabble but am also very considerate and respect peoples wants for privacy. I'm not much of a party animal, I prefer to stay in with a movie and some nice food over a late night in civic. I am a very keen cook so have a whole heap of cooking books and equipment to clutter the kitchen and hopefully produce some good food out of it. I'm very neat and organised (usually) and will be working two part time jobs as well as being a full time student so will be very busy most of the time. I love playing sport in particular soccer and swimming, and really keen on bouldering at blochaus in Fyshwick. so would love it if I could find some people who are keen on learning to rock climb with me! I am currently interning at an agricultural export company in Melbourne but will be returning to Canberra around the 15th so would really love to have a place organised by then. Thanks a-lot! Langdon Hello! I’m Michael and will be going into my fifth and final year of university at the ANU and looking for a year long lease to move into. Originally from Malaysia, I’ve moved to Canberra for university and is now proudly calling Canberra my second home! Growing up in Malaysia has exposed me to a lot of different cultures and that has made me fluent in a few languages. To name a few, Cantonese, Malay, English, and to a certain extent Mandarin. I have recently started to like playing board and card games, and I will always be down to play a few games alongside with some quality wine (and a cheese board!) While my party days as a university student’s history, my usual Thursday night and weekend have evolved around Netflix or just simply doing some body weights workout in my room. Like most people, I believe respecting privacy is one of the key features in maintaining a nice and loving share house. Being a Malaysian at heart means that we love to eat. Thus, the kitchen is no stranger to me. I love making Malaysian foods (though nothing close to home) and would not mind sharing some of my dishes with the household!! Other than that, I also do meal prepping on Sundays when I get really busy. I will be working part time at two jobs alongside being a full time student. Even when I’m busy, I try to keep places neat, tidy, and adhering to the cleaning schedule (if there’s one). When I have some spare time, I love hitting the gym and doing some cycling (rpm) lessons. I’d be more than happy for us to hit the gym together!! I am currently working for my family business in Malaysia and will return to Canberra on the 22nd, and it would be lovely to have a place organised by then. Thanks, Michael
I work full time in the public service. I have lived in share houses since I was 18. I love the outdoors and go camping most weekends where I can. I play sport and enjoy hanging out with friends or sitting back listening to one of my records. I am clean, respect personal areas and love the community aspect to share houses.
I'm a Yoga teacher, dancer, photographer, nature-lover. I'm very tidy, thoughtful and responsible. I am independent with a full life, but I also enjoy the buzz and colour of communal living with good-hearted and gentle people. I like to live in places with beautiful light and near to nature.
Looking for some lovely people to live with, either an existing share house or starting one up! I have a cat, Bobby, who is very polite and adorable. He wears a cat scrunchie (look them up!) which means he co-exits nicely with local bird populations. Ideally Bobby will move in with me.
Hi there, I'm Michael and l was born and raised on the far South coast of NSW and I’ve been working for Channel NINE for the past 7 years in Canberra. I live a busy and active lifestyle and get back to the coast whenever I can visiting family and friends. I consider a home to be a place where you can kick back and chill (my party days are over) so i'm only looking to share with one other person. I'm looking for someone who is clean, responsible, relaxed and respectful and I'll provide the same in return. My interests included but are not limited to eating out, coffee, gym, swimming and the beach. I'm not a great cook but i'm happy to share a meal every now and then and watch some awful reality TV shows together if that suits (or not?). More then happy to hang out and chat from time to time but i'm also respectful of peoples space and privacy. If you're interested in teaming up, flick me a message.
Good personally, social but also enjoy space between flat mates (if needed). Wanting to move closer to the city to take advantage of what it has to offer. Tidy and enjoy a social wine or movie on a Friday night. Open to meeting anytime and connecting over coffee.
I am stereotypical Canberran who is addicted to coffee, yoga and works in the public service. I volunteer at the RSPCA walking the dogs so i always have cute videos and photos to share. I'm keen to move into a social house, by that I don't mean a party house (i have had that experience before and I'm not keen to do it anymore haha) I just like sharehouses that are like a home instead of feeling like you are just renting the room. My friend's and I take it in turns to have Sunday night dinners and play board games. I also enjoy a beer in the sun but much more likely to have afternoon beers than party until the sun comes up. Feel free to contact me with any other questions :)
Originally from Melbourne, I’m looking for a place that’s fully furnished (including in the room) as I don't have furniture with me. A little about me… • 30yo (big kid at heart) professional male currently studying a Masters part time; • Grew up on the Gold Coast but actually a Melbourne boy; • I've had 10+ years experience living in share housing with both males and females; • I'm clean, tidy and considerate, but also sociable - so we can hang out... or not and do our own thing; and, • My interests include travel, entertainment (reading/tv shows/movies), volleyball and socialising. Let me know if you think it could be a good fit and when's suitable for an inspection - Looking to move in from mid-Feb to early Mar (latest 9-10 Mar).
I go to uni at UC, and I'm studying psychology. I'm a social person, always up for a chat and a redbull. But i understand when people need their space, especially while watching Game of Thrones. I also love a home cooked meal, and I'm happy to take turns, or even just get ubereats ;) Also looking to move in ASAP
