Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I run my own Mac support business & have a part time retail gig which keeps me busy and financially secure. Creative and inquisitive soul... Enjoy the outdoors, travelling, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, eating (fairly) healthy. Seeking some funky folk to share with. Normally i'd start my own share house but this rental market is crazy. I'm looking for : inner north suburb preferably. Large room with space for queen bed, desk, bookshelf. Prefer a nice, relaxed and reasonably quiet (ie: non party till 4am every night) household where one can unwind and rest and sleep without interruption. Enjoy reading and listening to music, watching TV some nights (ABC / SBS / Netflix), playing acoustic guitar, tinkering around with creative musical projects, sharing a meal now and then, etc... Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Most of my friends are aged in their 30s so sharing around that age group would suit. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
I don't have pets, clean and tidy, enjoy listening music, outdoors activities and traveling. Additionally, I am looking for the rent from 6 months onwards. Thank you !I'm really happy to live with friendly and helpful housemates and it is my grateful to make new friends. My studies background in Accounting and I come from Melbourne.
Hi, Flatmates! My partner (Kelly) and I (Jack) are looking for a place to call our own in the capital. We have both recently relocated from Perth to Canberra for work/study opportunities. I work for the Dept. of Infrastructure and Regional Development in their Aviation Security area and Kelly works for the Dept. of Agriculture and will be studying at Charles Sturt University. We both enjoy cooking (and food) above all as well as exploring the outdoors and are keen to experience everything our new home has to offer. We would be looking to move into a place from the 12th of July onwards, looking to fit into an unfurnished room in an already established, furnished house. If we should like we’d be a good fit for your place please don’t hesitate to contact me. Hope to hear from you soon, JD & KC
Hey there! Moving out of my sharehouse in Hackett in July and looking for a room with some cool people :) Reasons why I reckon I'm great to live with: 1) Love to have conversations about everything. Seriously, from history/political events to the pineapple pizza debate (pro-pineapple btw), just pick a topic and go. 2) Aires; this month I will find a new beginning, so that's something 3) Banter game strong 4) Own a BBQ and cook some mean burgers (American mother, it's in my blood); can lend it to my friend if there's no space as well, no dramas. 5) Lived overseas (HK and Taiwan) for a collective 10 years before moving back to Australia for uni 6) Play a little bit of bass so any drummers/musicians in the house holla at your boy and lets jam 7) Spag bog is also in the repertoire 8) I'm very tall (can reach high shelves on request) 9) Mediocre at all things video game related 10) Board game fanatic (if you play chess, I'll wanna play all the time) 11) Queenslander I've lived in a few sharehouses before so I'm pretty well versed on the general etiquette (clean/tidy), but also know that each place is different and will go in with an open mind, keen to make some friends out of it cause if you can't be friends with the people you live with then that's just sucky. Send me a message if you think we'd get along and we can have a chat over a coffee/wine! Flexible with move in dates past July 1st
We have a ridiculously large room - with a ridiculously large ensuite available in our beautiful 4bd Campbell house. This is the master bedroom of the house and is upstairs with big windows and a lovely outlook to the garden. The house is spacious, bright and airy, well built, with timber floors downstairs and carpet upstairs, a fab cooking show-esque kitchen, and central gas heating. There are security screens on all the windows, including the bedrooms - so the house is 100% guaranteed zombie proof! The house is on quiet, leafy Chowne St in Campbell, 15 -20 mins walking distance from Civic, and 2 mins walking distance from a bus stop and new Campbell cafes, and about 5-10 mins from Mt Ainslie. The garden is lovely - and sometimes sports a veggie patch. Other details: You'll chip in for bills: internet, water, gas, electricity (all fairly standard). Bond is 4 weeks rent. The room will be available from the 26 June, but there is room for negotiation to move in later. The rent is is $228 per week. If you are interested please send us a short description of yourself. We have to do a bit of an email based preselection due to the ton of request we're getting already.
Hi there, I'm Kiah, I am living in Sydney at the moment in an awesome apartment, studying and mostly working. I'm relocating to Canberra early July, and would like to find a great new place to call home for the next 6 months to a year, or more. I'm very tidy and clean, like to socialise with my housemates, but also love personal space/privacy and respect others. Please message if you'd like to get in contact :)
Chill, professional, open-minded guy seeking a relaxed and fun person/bunch to live with (ideally a gender-balanced house). I usually work on foreign aid projects in warm, exotic places, but will be spending the next 18 months working in Canberra. I tend to be active and love being in the ocean or tearing down a track on my mountain bike. Not into partying much anymore (although I can be coaxed into a night out) but do enjoy a social night in with a few drinks and a good movie, or a good book. Often found trying to cook gourmet dishes, sometimes even known to strum a guitar (poorly). The thought of a Canberra winter terrifies me and I don't really know anyone there yet, so I'll most likely spend my time defrosting in front of the heater until the warmer months roll around :) Some fun facts about me: - Once caught a pig in a swimming race (I won) - Almost tumbled into a lava pit during a holiday - Favourite movies include Dr Strangelove, Casablanca, The Truman Show and Blade Runner - Travelled to about 30 countries, lived in 8 Oh, and I'm open to other suburbs and also higher weekly rents if it's all good.
Hey! I'm from Melbourne and I'm moving to Canberra to start studying at ANU. I'm tidy but not a clean freak and I'm always up for a good laugh or a chat. Ideally, I would like to live with people who I can consider friends and who are happy to hang out on the couch after a long day.
Hi, I've just moved to Canberra for work and am looking for somewhere to share. I'm tidy, sociable and very understanding of personal space. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more!
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
Hi :) im 21 years old working full time as a flight attendant out of canberra. Im looking for a place to live perferalbly close to the airport. Im easy going, quiet, clean and friendly gal. Id like to move in with roomies who arent scared to have a chat and have a wine or two but still respect privacy. Im fairly new to canberra so it would be good to make some mates aswell.
Hi! I am looking for a place to stay close to ANU preferably within 15 minutes from the university. I am joining ANU as a PhD student from end of June. I'm friendly, easy to get along with and like to keep the place where I live tidy. In my free time, I love to watch movies, play sports mostly football and cricket. I am from India and have lived in the Netherlands for 3 years. I have previously lived in a share house in Amsterdam. I always contribute to my share of housework and respect other people's privacy. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I work full time as a public servant. I don't have a set move date. Willing to move whenever I happen to find the right place. I'm looking for a clean sharehouse with no pets and no smokers. I'm looking for housemates who are sociable but respectful of other people's space.
I like to keep things clean even if I'm not always perfectly tidy (exam time means my room is a horrid mess)! I am quiet but do like to chat or hang out on the couch and watch a movie. I'm not a huge party animal but I can appreciate a good gathering ;) I love to dance and read, but my studies are right now my priority. I'm Dutch, and only here for 18 weeks!
Hi! I'm moving with my current job (environmental consultant) from Sydney to Canberra. I've been living in sharehouses for eight years. Pretty quiet during the week, I try to exercise most nights. I'm respectful of space, but also keen to be social with my housemate/s.
I am a very independent, tidy person. Having lived in shared accommodation before I know how to clean up after myself and will be conscientious and respect the privacy of other room mates. I am a generally quiet person but love to sit down with friends for a chat at the end of the day. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and reading when I have the chance. I'm a bit of a creative so I'll almost always be drawing or painting something. I work full time in Kingston at Crowe Horwath.
Hi there I'm looking to move Northside late July as my office is relocating. I'm a neat, considerate, and generally reserved housemate who enjoys quiet company and occasional conversation. At home I spend a lot of time cooking, playing music, and watching netflix. As a rule I like to keep things tidy and get my chores done before I can relax and chill out... e.g. I have to do the dishes before I eat the dinner that I had just cooked. I'm from Melbourne and my background is Vietnamese. I love travel and lived in France for a year. On weekends I enjoy going to the library, cafe, and hosting dinner parties, movie nights and board games with friends. Hope to hear from you soon :) Alternatively, this paragraph does not start with "I'm".

Hello! We are Clancy and Alice, a 25 year old queer-friendly couple from rural Australia who have been studying in Melbourne and traveling overseas the past 7 years. Since making a new life for ourselves in the Byron area, we’ve both been offered internships in Canberra from July 17 until August 18 – Alice at the National Centre for Indigenous Studies at ANU, and Clancy at the Green Institute. Having received this very exciting news, we’re now looking for a winter home! We’ve both lived in share houses a lot throughout Melbourne and Byron and enjoy communal spaces, interesting conversations, gardening, cooking feasts (we’re both plant based) reading, swimming, surfing and all other adventures. We aren’t massive party animals but do enjoy live music, dancing and night time antics, and also having people over. Being environmentally conscious and politically aware is something that's important for us, as is open communication and passion for all the great things in life! We can be flexible with dates (we have a place to stay if these dates don’t match up exactly) and are budgeting up to $300per week for a room. If this sounds like you, or you know someone who might have some extra space, we’d love to get in touch – just message us some details and we’ll give you a call. Hope to hear from you soon!
I'm a masters student, and also working two jobs. So I'm fairly busy, but always find the time for sport and a glass of wine with friends. I'm clean, reliable and very keen to make the big move to Northside of Canberra!
Sadly the time has come to find a new home....however this is awesome news for you!! I'm looking to share or team-up with some awesome people in my quest for a new pad. A little about me: Originally from the South Coast, I'm working full-time and studying post-grad in Canberra. I'm an avid adventurer who enjoys fitness, hiking, kayaking and anything outdoors. I'm extremely socialable so hoping for like minded housemates who enjoy life!
Hi, my name is Jamie and I've just moved up to Canberra from Victoria to be a public servant and looking for a place to live. I enjoy reading, comedy and improvisation, maths, music, playing/watching sports and generally doing new things. I've lived in 3 share houses before and never had an issue with any of my previous roommates. If you would like to know more about me, get in touch.
My name is Bella, I'm 22 and I currently work full time in a consulting firm in Fyshwick. I love to cook, am clean, and love to socialise, but can understand if people need their own space. I am in need of somewhere new to live in Canberra for me and my fatlord of a cat. I'm trying to see if there were anyone people out there who are happy with living with said fatlord, who would be interested in seeking out a new lease in a pet friendly property. Alternatively, if you have a friendly house with a bedroom than needs filling, please let me know! I'd be happy to live with 1-3 other people, and live anywhere from inner north to weston creek or woden, or queanbeyan. I also have a toilet trained boyfriend who will visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
