Hey all, I’m looking a for a place to live around Canberra. I’m a full time student, will be studying Medical Science at either UC or ANU. I left school at the end of year 10 to peruse full time work as that was related to my goal at that time. I’ve been out of school for two years now adventuring, experiencing, and learning the real world so I know how to look after myself a whole hell of a lot better than when I was in year 10. I understand and strictly practice budgeting, can and enjoy cooking and I can cook well, and various other neccessary life skills. I completed a University bridging course with a uni online last year and have now set my sights on Canberra. I’m an avid mountain biker and other extreme sports lover, so I would need some space to store a bike. Also love going to the gym (Anytime Fitness). Love music, you will very rarely catch me not listening to music (Led Zeppelin, and disco are a couple of my favourites). I’m a very social, cheery guy (sorry my picture doesn’t show it haha, best I have) from a little country town called Lithgow. Love hanging out with people, I respect others personal space and time. I’m clean, tidy, and organised. I can and I enjoy cooking. I’ll happily have a drink or two with people, or just hangout. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I am a student at ANU studying Psychology and Philosophy. I consider myself a very chilled out and open-minded person. I enjoy spending my free time chilling in the sun reading, being in nature, cooking and eating food, playing games. I would enjoy living with people who are open-minded thinkers who i can have fun and interesting discussions with, whilst also giving each other our own space.
Hi there! I am a student moving to Canberra for 1 year to work while completing a postgraduate degree. I love animals but sadly will be leaving my dog at home. I am typically a quiet person when at home who prefers to relax by going outside or watching videos/movies. I clean up after myself and enjoy gardening and adding some green touches! I prefer to cook my own meals at home most of the time but do enjoy going out to try new places to eat. I will have a busy schedule so wish to find a place that is calm and quiet. Hope to be in touch soon!
Hey! My name is Bec, I am 25 years old and originally from Melbourne. I moved up to Canberra last year for a public service job. I have shared before in Melbourne and I'd love to find another place with a homely feel that is social and friendly, but I also appreciate some down time to myself. I am also clean and tidy. In my free time I like cooking, hiking, reading and hanging out with friends. I'll also be studying this year in addition to full time work so that will keep me busy.
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
Let me try to give you a bit of an idea of who I am in a few sentences. I'm a guy, 26 years old. I"m coming up to Canberra from Melbourne to do my Masters of Clinical psychology, which starts on the 22nd of January. I've got a feeling that in the first few weeks I'll be pretty caught up with Uni, as the course starts with two weeks of intensive units (9-5 mon-fri). I've sorted myself out some temporary accommodation in Ainslie until the 17th of Feb, then i'd like to find somewhere permanent. Here in Melbourne, I've just finished up working for a company that does psychological services for offenders with drug and alcohol problems. Before that, the last few years I've been studying Philosophy/Psychology and working various hospitality jobs. I'm interested in philosophy, psychology, politics and music. I love gardening (i'll be sad to not see my strawberries bear fruit before I leave), riding my bike around (with a degree of caution) and spending time with mates (hoping to make a few more when I get up to Canberra). Like everyone else on this website, I'd like to meet and live with people who are open and friendly. I appreciate having a good conversation while brewing a coffee in the morning and some friendly banter over a beer at night. However, of course, there will be times where I need to buckle down and study. Looking forward to moving to a new city and meet new people. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Hey, I'm Karina, I have too many nicknames to list here! Been in Canberra for about 4 years now, which I've heard basically makes me a local. I'm a young professional working full time, who enjoys getting outside for a hike as much as I love curling up and reading the internet for hours. I am very self sufficient but enjoy sharing a glass of wine with a friendly housemate at the end of the day. I'm looking for somewhere long term - 2 years is a good start! Yes, that's a quokka selfie!
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
Hullo! My name is Allan and I'm the Publisher of local entertainment guide BMA Magazine, so I'm happy to share information and tickets with potential flatmates. I'm a second generation Canberran yet spent eight formative years in England in my youth, so have a slight British twang to my accent. I love pina coladas and getting caught in the rain... Actually that's a lie. I prefer being safe and dry, comedy, board games, films, reading, and Other Stuff Humans Do. I can lend a sympathetic ear/shoulder, or give people their space, and have been told my sense of humour is passable.
I am a 32 year old Public Servant who is originally from Sydney but moved to Canberra 5 years ago for work. I have previously lived in shared houses and am well-trained :) I am really easygoing and in my spare time like to go to the Gym, locate new venues for weekend brunch, go hiking or play board games. I am also a bit of a history buff :) Looking to move closer to work in the city—ideally looking for inner north suburbs of Canberra and a 6-12 month lease
* from canada * hard working * social butterfly * very clean * organized I'm a pretty chilled, yet organised, full time student. i am very clean. I love the arts movies music and visual art. Hey there! I'm a full time physics student at ANU about to start my fourth year, and part time aerial silks teacher and performer. Having lived in a share house for the past 2 years I think I've pretty much got the hang of the housemate etiquette - I'm clean and tidy, pay my bills on time and tend to cook a bit more food than necessary in case there's hungry housemates wandering around. Love having housemate drinks and family time, but personal space and quiet time are also vital. Sound interesting? Maybe I'm the housemate for you!
I am moving to Canberra from Queensland to attend university. I am in my early 20’s who enjoys sports, chilling out, having a nice chat and going on a good adventure. I am a clean and tidy person who also respects people’s privacy. I am a very easy going person who gets alone with anyone.
I am a 21 year old full time student studying social work at ACU. I work casually at a residential drug and alcohol rehab, and I would consider myself social but am understanding that everyone needs down time.
I'm a 23yo New Zealander, moving to Australia to study a Masters in Environmental Science at ANU. I love travelling - I grew up in Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and I'm currently spending the "summer" interning in northern California. Hobbies - cooking, reading, tramping and hiking, fitness, Netflix. I've flatted for 5 years so I'm very tolerant and respectful, and I'm tidy and pretty quiet. I like socializing with my flatmates butI enjoy my me-time too, I'm good at going with the flow. I’m looking for a room solo until about June/July when my boyfriend Dave will be moving over from NZ to join me. So I’m interested in short-term single rooms or longer-term rooms that are suitable for couples :)
I'm looking for somewhere short-term and preferably furnished. I'm currently working in Deakin - I've worked here in a marketing role for 2 and a half years. I enjoy living in a busy house as I'm quite social. On weekends I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. Essential - walking distance to decent coffee :) Would prefer Inner North so I'm close to friends. I also work a couple of nights a week in a bar in Braddon so would be great to walk to and from work if I can. I love animals so a pet would be amazing!
I’m a quiet, clean and respectful girl who is looking for somewhere to live. I work two jobs as a bartender so work odd hours but am respectful of others when coming home late. I enjoy personal space and time but also love socialising with others and am keen to make new friends.
Young academic moving to Canberra to be part of the ANU Science Communication Outreach Masters program. I am looking for somewhere close to ANU. I pride myself on being clean and tidy. In addition, I am quite independent and like my privacy but I'm up for social activities. While I can drive, I do not have a car (easy parking for you!). My interests include outdoor adventures (especially hiking), dancing and sketching/painting. If I sound like your next roommate, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Creative, artistic, funny, great sense of humour. Easy to get along with as long as you respect my privacy, don’t touch my stuff and clean up. Anything else like noise etc does not bother me. I’m easy to get along with, I clean up and I buy my own food etc. I am 30 Self employed I organise events / parties. I spend a lot of time on my computer when I’m there. I have a car, no pets, no kids, no boyfriend. I can be sociable but I like my privacy too. I am a clean freak
