Hey! My boyfriend and I are moving down to Canberra in January for work and are looking for a great share house to join. We are pretty laid back people and enjoy being social, but also appreciate that often your home is a place to get away to.
Looking for a place for at least 12 months. Hobbies include sports and other recreational activities, I have a cat named Mac who’s very low maintenance and sweet. Enjoy riding my bike everywhere. Like to socialise and cook but also enjoy alone time every now and then :))
Hi, I am a young professional looking for accommodation for 6 months from mid-Jan to mid-Jul 2019 in Canberra. Very clean and tidy, easy going and looking to explore Canberra. In my time away from my home town Melbourne, I will be looking to rent out my own home, so I understand the value of finding a tenant who can look after a place like it's their own.
I will be moving from Wollongong to CBR to study a master of science communication outreach at ANU in 2019 and am looking for a place near the university to reside next year. Beside study and part-time work commitments I enjoy being outside and staying physically active.
Hi, I’m looking for long term accommodation in Canberra as I’m moving from Adelaide for a job. I’m clean and responsible and a whiz in the kitchen (future flatmates may be used as cookie taste testers). I enjoy both a shared meal/chat and alone time. I’m a lover of Netflix, books, and casual games. Pet friendly but currently pet free (if you have a dog it can expect many belly rubs).
Hi future roomie/s! We are needing a place to move into for a job I start in February. We would be looking to move in around the end of January at this stage. We ideally need to live fairly close to Civic (inner north or Kingston/Barton area) and we're looking for a friendly and relaxed home where the a few vinos can be enjoyed on the weekend and everyone gets along :) I (Erin) am starting a full time contract in February and am moving from the Gold Coast but I have lived in Canberra before. Ryan is American but has been living in Australia for a year and a half. We're clean and tidy, world travelled, respectful and all round good people. You'll love us! If you have any questions, ask away! Can't wait to hear from you :)
My name is Jiraay which means sunrise and am usually up early to go to work, most weekends I will be either relaxing or visiting family. Im a responsible full-time public servant doing a traineeship. I am clean, quiet and usually like to do my own thing, but having a good relationship with my flatmates is important so I like to be social too. I work near the airport and am looking for accommodation around that area. I have my own car so off street parking would be good and i have some furniture, but if the room is furnished that is okay too! I am hoping move in after christmas between the 27th of december and the 16th of January.
A large and sunny master bedroom for rent in Campbell, available at the end of January. Easily fits a queen bed, drawers and a desk, with a built-in wardrobe. We're close to the lake. It's a 5-min walk from Constitution Ave buses, 10-min bike ride to Civic, 15 to 20-minute bike ride into Parliamentary Triangle/Barton and 15-min bike ride to ANU. The house has a dishwasher and central heating/AC. There is also an off-street carport available.
I'm a full time IT guy in the public sector who has being in Canberra for about a year now. I'm pretty out and about socially but am also fond of chilling out in my room after work or having a quiet dinner and board game/TV night with friends. A few of the things I have being enjoying in Canberra is going hiking and picnicking in the national parks, I'll basically live at the snow once the season is back in and otherwise enjoy the occasional weekend down at the coast in the warmer part of the year. One of my current hobbies is seeing how much chocolate I can cram into various baked goods. I like to keep a tidy house and am looking for people who also enjoy tidiness as well as a healthy mix of sociability and privacy :)
Hi, I'm a Melbournian who moved up to Canberra early on in the year. I work time full-time in the public service, but I'm always down for a drink and a boogie during the weekends. I enjoy going pole dancing, having coffee catch ups and going on non-sensical rants.
I'm easy going and social. I work relatively long hours but enjoy a drink and a chat to unwind. I'm active with commitments most evenings and some mornings. I'm returning to Canberra after living abroad for three years.
I'm 27 and moving to Canberra from Melbourne in January 2019 to start full-time work in federal government. I'm looking for a friendly and easy-going house, preferably with other professionals or full-time students. I'm friendly, respectful and considerate housemate - I like to be social and have a few drinks and am keen to make new pals. However, I do like my own time on occasion and respect others solo time and space!
Hi! I'm Ellen, I'm moving back to Canberra to work as a science writer and communicator. I'm a tidy, laidback housemate who respects others' personal space, looking to live with like-minded, friendly people. I enjoy brunch, swimming, bushwalking, and chilling with a cuppa to watch Netflix.
Hi! I'm a 29 year old (Northern) Territory raised guy working full time and have been living in Canberra for 6 years. I'm an easy going person, clean and fairly tidy looking for like minded individuals to share a home as my old navy mates have been posted away and I need to find somewhere new. I enjoy socializing but also enjoy me time and will respect others in return, I am a smoker however not in or around the property. I like movies and most other forms of entertainment, cooking then testing the results on willing volunteers, or conversation over a glass of red. WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room however a pre-furnished room is fine, In addition if you need extra furniture, kitchen appliances, utensils etc let me know as I have most of it in storage. If you'd like to know more let me know, happy to chat or meet over a coffee, I am also happy to provide references.
I’m a full time law student at the ANU and work at UC, Legal Aid and the Animal Defenders Office as a paralegal. I’m very clean, quiet and reliable. I’m mostly at work, uni or the gym. I enjoy running, hiking, photography, cooking and acting. Ideally looking for somewhere for at least 6 months. Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy to provide more info :) Thanks, Judith
I'm 25, a full time undergrad at ANU, and work a casual job (I'm the one on the left in the photo). I'm a non-smoker, very clean and tidy, and social but pretty laid back and easy going. I love the beach and swimming, being outdoors, travel and adventures, and trying new things. But don't let that fool you, I absolutely love my lazy days of binge-watching Netflix and junk food :) I'm looking for a household that is reasonable social and likes to share the occasional meal/drink/ect., but is still respectful of each others space and privacy. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have me. I'm after a place in the inner north (Acton, Reid, Campbell, Turner, Braddon, Ainslie and O'Connor). I look forward to hearing from you. Jade :)
Hey hey! My name is Alex (24), I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start a full time govt job in January. My friend from uni, Hannah (25), is also moving for a full time govt job. We're looking for two rooms in a share house, or some people to buddy up with to apply for houses with. We've both lived in share houses for the past six years and are super neat and considerate. We're always up for a chat or a wine, but are by no means party animals. In our spare time we like to go for hikes, watch live music, go out for brunch, all that jazz. We're looking for a share house with some other young professionals. Would love to hear from you :)
Hi, I'm Toni! I am moving back to Canberra next year and am looking for a place to stay. I am flexible with short-term or long-term stays, preferably a furnished room. I am currently working in hospitality and very laid back. When I am not at work, chances are you'll find me watching/playing sport, hanging out with some friends, going for bush walks or going for a swim. I am tidy, know how to pull my weight in the house, am sociable but respect the privacy of others.
Hi there, After 3 years of working in Hong Kong and Singapore I have been called back to the motherland. I am a full time worker in the Private sector in Canberra. I enjoy good coffee (This is something lost overseas), outdoors activity, cycling and of course the occasional beer ! I am currently looking for somewhere to live in the Canberra CBD up until end of April as then i will be returning to Singapore for work. I am very understanding and adaptable to new places after living with numerous people over the years in numerous share houses (in you guessed it. Numerous countries). I would be a seamless addition to any home !
I'm an incoming PhD student in genetics and an entomologist by training, so I'm always the person in the house who takes care of spiders and roaches by default. I spend almost all of my spare time either cooking (I learned how to make pastry and now nobody can stop me) or playing music. I'll be moving to to Canberra from Melbourne hopefully by the beginning of February. I'm looking to find an unfurnished room in an existing sharehouse; I've got about 7 years experience living in sharehouses, so I have my own bedroom furnishings (as well as a fridge and couches which I'm happy to leave behind if I have to). I'm living off a reasonably generous stipend and I keep a (slightly neurotically) clean house most of the time. Give me a shout!
