Don't miss out on this sunny and spacious room, now available in a fantastic Campbell sharehouse. LOCATION - The house is on a quiet street just a few minutes from Civic, the lake, and Mount Ainslie. THE HOUSE - Honestly more space than 3 people need. Roomy living/dining area, secondary living area, sheltered outdoor courtyard on the front, deck on the back, large leafy backyard, plus heaps of internal storage. Available from 19 August! Message for more details or to arrange an inspection.
It is an old house but the location is competitive. It is close to ANU, UNSW, ADFA and CIT if you are a student. It is also close to Canberra centre and civic if you work there. Walking distance will allow you to avoid the traffic. Bike is another great option. Route 55 is in front of the house if you want to take bus instead.
Hi there! I'm Venus, a Canadian looking for a place in Canberra as I'm here for a working holiday for six months. I have a background in communications, and a deep love for The Office (US version). I'm easy-going, friendly and like to keep things clean. I enjoy connecting with people, but also being mindful of others' spaces. Looking for: - likeminded, organized, easy-going roommate(s) - a furnished room - preferably my own bathroom, but not necessary - looking for someone who isn't afraid to remove spiders In my spare time, I enjoy reading, museums, exploring hiking trails, experimenting with recipes, and watching Netflix, quietly, in my room :)
Ahoyhoy! Who wants to live with me?! I'm 30, work full time in the public service and come with a small menagerie... My German Shepherd, indoor cat and blue tongue lizard! I tick all the house mate boxes - I'm friendly, mature, responsible, I like a clean house and I love to potter in the garden! On weekends I like to go hiking, get creative or just chill out. I'm hoping to find a pet friendly share house with a master/ensuite or a granny flat (or equivalent) with a yard. I'm ready to move now but also flexible. Can provide a real estate reference for me and the pets :)
I am from the US from working on my PhD in Germany. This PhD will also bring me to Canberra for 8 months starting October. I was already here earlier this year for 4 months, and I really enjoyed the relaxed style of life. I love to be outside either hiking or cycling. My days are filled with work in the lab, yoga, and a considerable amount of home made ice coffee. Although I am happily social and ready to share a meal, drink, or conversation, my home life is pretty reserved. Since my work is mentally draining, and I spend so much time outside, when at home I generally prefer to be in bed or at least relaxing in the living room. The type of home I am looking for is one that is calm and respectful. To describe my level of cleanliness, I clean my dishes as I make them, and the toilet paper roll is never left empty. I know I am posting this rather early, but I figured it doesn't hurt to have my post running in the background to see what's available. If any of this sounds like a good fit for you, then I look forward to hearing from you :)
I'm a super easygoing housemate, tidy and am known to regularly bake bread to share... I'm returning to Canberra after a year overseas and looking for a nice house vibe, but happy to do my own thing too! I'm a public servant, originally from Sydney but lived in Canberra for almost 10 years, mostly living in sharehouses. I love all things related to food, making the most of Canberra's surrounding bush and hills, pottery and pottering around the garden.
Anna, 25, working full-time at ANU in environmental science-related stuff; I love bushwalking, climbing & outdoorsy things... I like gardening, going out & having dinners with friends, playing boardgames. I am social and friendly but also enjoy spending time on my own & relax.
Moving to Canberra from Brisbane in the new year (early Feb) to study full time at ANU and work part time. I enjoy friendly sharehouse environments, meeting new people but very respectful of privacy and independence. Hoping to start with a 6 month lease initially but happy to extend if all goes well. Also, happy to team up with two others in a similar situation to set up a new sharehouse.
I’m a friendly, social and respectable person, who likes to keep things tidy. I’m moving out of my current house in Campbell after two years, and remain a northside loyalist. When I’m not at work, you can find me at the Old Canberra Inn, the RUC, footy fields or at home with a glass of wine and a home-cooked meal.
I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into a two bedroom flat at the start of next year. I love to just chill out and read (I'm a giant bookworm and spend 90% of my time reading) or watch Netflix. I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good chat and movie marathon. I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal.
