Hi, I'm looking for someone with an existing rental looking for a flatmate. I'm a 47 year old lady, I'm really quiet and prefer to stay in my room most of the time, it's not because I'm anti social..I've actually got a chronic migraine condition, so retreating to my room for peace and quiet are at times a nescessity , this doesn't mean I'm not up for a chat and a laugh or that a normal amount of noise isn't OK, I do not expect silence from my flat mates, I've been flatting successfully for the last two years all whilst having the condition. ...it just means that some days you'll see me and some days you will see a zombie walking around like a 94 year old. I've only just gone back to work part-time, I work for two different companies as a domestic assistant and will build up my clients over the next couple of months. I have two teenage kids,they're 14 and 17 and I'd like for them to be able to visit, you'll barely see them when they're in the house, Jacob only emerges for food and toilet breaks and Breanna is very quiet themselves, we watch TV and listen to the radio , have dinner and the kids take advantage of my internet connection.. I will split the kids visits into one at a time , whilst I'd prefer an overnight visit from each child on Friday and Saturday either one kid per night or one kid for the weekend alternating , I understand if it's preferable they only come for the day, this is something I'm willing to talk about..but it does depend on location of the home as they live in Willunga and driving is an issue for me especially at night ( I get a very rare migraine variant called AIWS and it's triggered by driving) So in a perfect world the room would be big enough for a double and a pull out single mattress... I'm happy for the rent to be adjusted to accommodate this, I'd also like the possibility of other nights to be an option when it's school holidays but it's definitely not a deal breaker. We have a cat, he's both inside and outside, outside is either in his cat enclosure ( I usually try and set this up so that he can enter via my rooms window, which also means when I'm not home he's only in my room )or being supervised, he's inside by dark though. I've got all my own furniture, which is currently in storage, Im happy to use my belongings depending on the needs of the house, I'm easy going and try not to sweat the small stuff, I don't smoke or drink, and prefer not to live with a smoker as I'm extremely sensitive to smell, this also rules out anyone who loves strong scented candles ( a subtle, pleasant smell is fine) or incense unfortunately..as they can make my brain explode, I also like a clean home, and have a background in cleaning for work.. so would be willing to take over the bigger portion of this... in exchange for less yard work ( I find this harder on me , medically.) So if you want the best of both worlds.. a flatmate that feels like your living on your own whilst also having half the bills paid, then chuck me a message , we would also need our own internet connection, or someone with unlimited that we can go contribute too... I have both rental references and flatmate references aswell.

I own (the bank and I) an Apartment in Melbourne CBD. This is currently being managed by an experienced CoHost via the AirBnb platform. From the 01st of July 2025 I am seeking a place to call home for a year or two - and if I could find a suitable Granny Flat or similar - I would seriously consider making this a more permanent arrangement and keep my Apt in Melbourne till it made sense to sell..... However I am open to sharing a flat, a room in a share-house or a room in a private house. I am comfortable living with owners or renters - if the location and layout of the house meets my needs. I also need a car and motorbike park please. I am experienced at sharing my space - as I had a full time job (self employed) managing four share houses for persons working in the Gippsland area (Victoria) almost a decade ago. For five amazing years (I resided in whatever share house had a spare room at the time) - which was ever evolving. It was challenging at times, but I loved every minute of it. Over my life I have learned to be extremely flexible - and to listen and learn from my day to day interactions.... We are never to old to learn something new!
