Hi everyone, I'm going to Europe for the Summer! Yeah. (Or another almost as exciting way to put it: I'm skipping Melbourne for the Winter!) I love where I live though, and I want to come back and land here where I left off upon my fateful return. So, I am looking for a great peep to come on in and fill the space with cozy and lovely, make it home for the Winter. And, indeed, it will be cozy. The room is carpeted, with high ceilings and Art Deco touches, with enough space to do your yoga/ burlesque/art making / whatever it is you need room for. A Queen bed, massive oak desk for your life admin, floor to ceiling built-ins and so much storage space it’s a bit ridiculous make it pretty much an ideal temporary situation while you decide on your next moves. Have your heater cranked all Winter and you’ll be in a cocoon of convenient delish. The house itself is an earth-friendly, bike-friendly green space, with lots of natural light which soaks the dining and kitchen areas in the morning. It’s spaciously well-appointed (see corner bathtub with detachable shower head - so good), with little nooks of comfort and a clean and high functioning kitchen. The lounge room also has a fully functioning old-school fireplace. Permaculture garden is lovingly maintained and you are welcome to contribute! The location is a major drawcard: Right off High St. - literally a 1-minute walk to the 86 tram. 5 min walk to Northcote Plaza, 8-minute walk to Croxton station. It’s pretty damn good, and it’s what you want in Winter if you’re a Public Transport kinda person. Bills are divided evenly between 3 - a pretty reasonable lump sum which is payable either fortnightly or monthly, which covers all bases - gas, water, electricity, and super fast broadband. Hi. I have a room available from 3 April until about mid May. Furnished with a queen size bed, tall boy and hanging space. The room is north facing with plenty of natural light. There is tram line 11 right out front, Thornbury train station 10 minute walk, with tram 86 also about 10 minute walk. Its positioned in a great location in Thornbury, about a 10 minute walk to High st right in the middle of Thornbury. The house has three bedrooms in total, an open plan living, dining , kitchen space with a wood fireplace as well as a split system. There is one shared bathroom with never ending hot water, so no cold showers, ever! There is also another toilet outside. For the garden lovers, there is a huge backyard with lots of fruit trees and a veggie garden. The house is furnished with pretty much everything.
This house must be viewed to be appreciated. It has heaps of space and we even have a spare 5 meter squared living room that can be put to use as well as the existing open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen has a very large oven with 5 stove burners. There is a double sink, dishwasher and plenty of storage. A lot of the furniture will be leaving with the housemate but will be upgraded with quality comfortable replacements. If you happen to have some furniture this could be a bonus but if not, don't worry, I will replace it all. There is also a spare room downstairs that we use for guests. There are 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms containing 2 showers and a full sized bath. There is a decent sized court yard leading to a large double garage with a table tennis table that folds away nicely. There is also plenty of free on street parking right outside the house. The house is so close to the #11 tram you can still pick up wifi from the house while you wait for the tram. There is also the bike trail that leads straight into town right outside the house and it couldn't be easier to get into the CBD or Fitzroy. Thornbury train station is just a few hundred meters away and we have plenty of restaurants, bars and cafe's etc, including Carwyn Cellars, Welcome to Thornbury and the Croxton within walking distance. The house was built in 2013 so it's very modern and clean. Not a party house but we do sometimes have BBQs and dinners etc. Smoking is outside. Rent is $1141 per calendar month. Our lovely housemate has relocated back to Adelaide for a while, so we are looking for someone just as lovely to take his place for a year. You'll be sharing with one guy and one chicka, who love cooking, sharing a glass of wine, and working in the veggie patch out the back. The house has three bedrooms plus a separate renovated studio room in the back yard which we use as a guest room. There is one bathroom as well as second toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cosy living room complete with record player. The house is about a 3 minute walk from a number 11 tram stop, a 10 minute walk from the Northcote train station and a 15 minute walk from High Street. Can easily fit a queen bed but unfortunately does not come with a built in wardrobe. It does however boast beautiful pink walls! The house as a whole is on the smaller side but it's charming as ever and has a huge backyard! Better yet it's literally a 2min walk to the Northcote Train station (South Morang Line). If the train aint your thing we've got the 11 tram on St Georges Road (8min walk) or the 86 tram on High Street (4/5min walk). Speaking of High Street, if you're unfamiliar with the area, it has all ya cool bars, cafes and restaurants where you can eat, drink and be merry! Public transport aint your thing? Don't worry as there's free on street parking available! I'm looking for someone I can have a conversation and a laugh with and a few bevs with from time to time. Dear housemate: I purchased this modern, lovely townhouse one year ago, as it is super close to the Tram 11, and Croxton or Northcote train stations. It is north-facing, so its quite warm and cozy. Additionally, there is an air-conditioning in each bedroom and living room. It is a brand new house so it is very very clean. Downstairs there is only your bedroom and laundry, you will have your own bathroom. So its quite private. I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful living place with you. Can you find a cheaper place with your own bathroom in a brand-new house that is next to tram line? I am not convinced, lol. Hey guys My names Connor and I'll be moving back to Melbourne at the end of March after 4 years in sunny QLD completing a Bachelor of Building Design (Architectural). I am making the move back after being offered full time employment at a design firm in the far Northern Suburbs so will be looking at living within a 30 minute commute of South Morang. I'll be arriving in Melbourne over the Easter weekend and staying with a friend while I search for a room. When I last lived in Melbourne I worked as a bar manager in the CBD, as well as starting an events consulting business that sees me working as a stage manager at various music festivals in Vic and around the country on the weekends. I love a good wine, beer and a nice meal at home as a group, but know of the need for space sometimes. I come with a car, no furniture (yet) and a passion for health and fitness after working in Sports nutrition retail through my degreee. I love cooking and will usually be found preparing my meals for the following day each evening, and not forgetting the washing up part! While I love the events and entertainment industries I am most definitely not a partier, on the rare occasion that I let my hair down the fun doesn't come home with me.
