One temporary (summer) room available in established sharehouse in Dickson. Location is epic: just north of Macarthur & Wakefield, 10 minutes’ walk from Dickson Woolies & Woolley St restaurants, a short detour off the Sullivans Creek bike track, and a few minutes’ walk from the light rail. The room is available from December 14th - ideally it'd be great to rent out until at least January 14th. I'm happy for it to be longer, as long as it's free up again by January 31st. Rent is negotiable - for just the one month I'd be looking at keeping it $175+bills, if you're able to stay for longer I'm happy to negotiate a lower weekly rate. Room has a double bed with a comfortable mattress, two bedside tables, a desk and a dresser. There are 4 built in robe sections in total, 2 will be cleared for subletter use. (Image of room will be uploaded soon) The house has been a student house for a long time but does have a few big pluses: a large backyard with a veggie patch, two storey split so entertaining and study/sleep can happen at the same time, a dishwasher, an espresso machine (which you’re welcome to make use of), and cheap reverse cycle aircon in the living area among others. We have two parking spaces (one undercover and one outside the front door); bikes can be accommodated on the back verandah, in the back yard or in the stairwell.
Hi :) I am a 24 year old male moving from Melbourne to start a position in the APS. I like being outdoors, going for walks and watching sport, but also enjoy relaxing and watching a good Netflix series or playing board games. I'm more than happy socialising but also appreciate my own time. I am reliable, responsible and respectful of others and hope for the same.
Our home is a 4-bed brick home. We've converted 1 bedroom into an Arts'Crafts/library space. Our back balcony is large enough for Sunday brunches and barbecues, overlooking a large, overgrown garden which we're trying to rehabilitate with a worm farm & compost heap. Our home gets plenty of sun & has its share of fruit trees. We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, gas induction heating throughout & winter curtains. The room is fully-furnished, with built-in wardrobes, mini-fridge, fan and its own oil heater. We don't mind "untidy" but definitely err on the side of "clean" & appreciate the same in a flatmate.
I am currently doing my masters at UC. easy going, pet friendly and bubbly person. A non vegetarian who loves food. Hygiene is really important, especially in the bathroom :D. I love being around people from different cultures and religions. hoping to find a bright and cozy place :)
Hello! I am a third year student at ANU and I am looking for a room in an existing sharehouse or in a studio/granny flat. I work two part-time jobs as a disability support worker and at Community Shapers. For fun, I love riding my bike, taking part in theatre productions, reading and karate.
Hi my name is Charlie. I'll be starting in Canberra in 2020 as a grad in the public service. I'll be moving from Sydney so would love to join a share house which is social and cares for one another. I'm clean, friendly and love to bake (I promise I'll share any baked goods!). I'm looking for somewhere in the inner north or inner south to call my home. I start work in early Feb but am happy to move in December if it means locking in the right place to call home!
Hi! My name is Ellie, I work full time as an Occupational Therapist. I have been living in Canberra for the last 9 months. I am looking for a room now as I am now back from 2 months of European travel. I love socialising, eating good food, gin wine and cheese (I'm reasonably food focused). I’m active and like yoga, getting out and about for weekend adventures and the odd strategic board game. I am clean, considerate and accountable for bills and household tasks. Send me a message if you would like to discuss further 🙂
I love getting out doors, i'm pretty laid back, i enjoy cooking reading and juggling. I have two little bunnies that i would love to bring with me. I enjoy being social but i'm not really a party animal.
Moving to Canberra from Adelaide for work for a bit of a change. Working in the APS. I am a CPA interested in Governance, Risk and Assurance. I play social tennis and enjoy running (Parkrun), walking/hiking, fitness, gardening, cooking. I enjoy good food and wine. I like to relax in the evenings watching TV. Would also like to take this opportunity to do some more study.
Hey there! I'm N (short for Narmadhaa), and I moved to Canberra a few months ago. I'm a marketing writer, and share house-trained. I like my personal time and space, but am totally open to sharing a drink and conversation. I read, write, get out a bit in the evenings, and am a sucker for staring at greenery.
Hi everyone! I will be moving to Canberra from Perth the start of Feb for a new job in the APS. Although I lived in Melbourne for 5 years whilst studying so share houses and dealing with rentals is not new to me. I am an easy going and friendly person, who enjoys getting to know and having general chit chat with my housemate/s. But I do enjoy and need my alone time, and always respect my housemates privacy. I love to keep active, try new food spots, check out new bars and I love my AFL. I am fairly flexible as to living in either an apartment or a house, and with the number of housemates. All I need is some sort of parking (on or off street), preferably not toooooo far from the city. If anyone is starting around the same time, I'd love to hear from you :)
