Hi, I'm Michael. I’m a 26 year old guy, originally from Melbourne but I've been living in our nation's capital for about 5 months. I work in Communications with the public service. Prior to this, I was ski-bumming in Japan for about 2.5 years, and before that I was working as a Communications Officer in Melbourne. I like skiing, music, reading, cooking and the occasional frosty pint. I’m always happy to pull my weight around the house and I like to be fairly clean and tidy. Not super outgoing, but I do have fear-of-missing-out, so normally pretty keen to have a good time/after work drinks if the occasion calls. I have a long-term girlfriend, but she lives over in Japan. I also like to watch AFL, Cricket and re-runs of the Simpsons. Some goods and services I can bring to the place include: - The ability to service and repair skis. - A Netflix profile. - Heaps of novels and classic video game consoles. - my drum kit, but I'm cool if that’s not your thing. Happy to provide references if you’d like, formally lived out of home for three years in Melbourne, and in share-rooms with people of varying cultural backgrounds throughout my time spent in Japan. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you think you’d be interested to have me.

Hi there thanks for checking my profile, I am making a big move from sunny Brisbane to cool Canberra. I am very chilled and easygoing guy, always clean after myself. Love chatting with my flatmates and the occasional drink as well as hangout once in a while. I am a software professional and I am working for a Canberra based office and will be moving from Brisbane start of November. Looking for a place to move into with friendly and responsible flatmates ideally a bit close to the city(no particular suburb). I am fairly active and and keep myself busy most evenings either having dinner with friends(although I do not know many people in Canberra yet), going to the gym and I love latin dancing, have been doing that for years and end up going to some of those events few nights a week. I try to play a few sports but but almost bad at all of them(still play for fun)! When I am home I love to watch movies, some TV shows, cook sometimes, relax and have a conversation and work some times. I am not a party animal but like partying once in a while. Please message me if you think I am someone who you would like to live with and have a comfortable room to share :-) We can have a chat and go from there!
Hi my name is Takunda. I am a friendly down to earth guy. Who is fairly quiet but always down for a chat and laugh and very approachable. I respect people’s personal space and belongings and expect the same in return. I recently got a full time job at the tradies in Dickson so I’ll be at work most nights.
I'm Sarah, currently living on the far south coast writing my collection of short stories. I'm moving to the city at the end of Jan 2018. I smoke a lot (yes, I'll go outside), eat vegan (I don't care what you eat) and sometimes have a vodka (with tonic and lemon). I'd like walking your dog, not going to the gym. I'm up for conversation, not television. I'm arty, good fun, well read and I have a great sense of humour. I'm reliable and will happily follow instructions about household duties (a long as there not weird). I'm an ex architect. I work at home writing on line, I tutor students in the afternoons and I go out and about seeking people to tell me their story.
Hey everyone, I'm a 21 year old male from Brisbane that's looking to move down to Canberra to start work in the APS. I'm a pretty tidy and chill guy who enjoys watching sports, travelling, socialising and meeting new people. I am looking to move in with people around my own age and who share similar interests and have a place available from ~1 year. Send me a message if you think that we'd be a good match or have any questions! Thanks!
I am a 28 year old male just finished my masters degree at the ANU in visual arts. I am a glass artist by trade and am often blowing glass, at the ANU or at the Canberra Glassworks. I have a variety of jobs to keep my art practice going including a Les Mills group fitness instructor at a few gyms. I am generally a pretty social person but respect personal space and privacy. I am not a clean freak by any means but do prefer public spaces to be clean and will most definitely do my part in the upkeep. I don't have any furniture as I am from America and am trying to keep my belongings to a minimum until I decide if I am staying in Australia permanently. That being said I do come with a new Espresso Machine and upcoming skills as a coffee artist so you may consider that as a perk in having me as a roommate.
The available room has a queen-sized bed included and internal storage space. A newly installed gas heater in the lounge room makes the chilly Canberra evenings more comfortable! Coming into summer we are also lucky enough to have a reverse-cycle air conditioning unit in the lounge room. We have a gas stove-top and oven, and a Weber Q out the back on a large deck looking over a yard with two vegetable patches (you're welcome to plant anything you like!). There is a park across the road, the local Woolworths is a 10min walk and we are 500m from a bus stop with buses every 5mins to the city. Dickson has the full spectrum of Asian cuisine at super reasonable prices for the quality you get - we're always up for Friday night takeaway! We are two females currently studying at ANU and working part time. We are friendly, tidy and organised. Love chilling out with good company over tea, coffee or a gin and tonic. We both enjoy a wide variety of music, especially jamming to groovy old school tunes.
My name is Michael, I am clean, tidy and understand and respect share areas of a house and pull my weight when it comes to cleaning. I have lived in share houses previously at uni in Newcastle and when I first moved to Canberra (2013). I have been living in my own apartment for the past 3 years. Currently I am in Reid and paying $410 a week (excluding bills), my rent and all bills have always been paid on time. Honestly looking for a share place to save some money. I work full-time in the APS. My work sometimes involves travelling so there may be points in time were I will be gone (but will still be paying rent/bills). I am pretty laid back and in my spare time like to be out and about with friends. Cheers, Michael
Easy going a bit of nerd, don't drink or smoke. Like to be clean but not anal .Like to cook and enjoy going out and having fun.But also like quiet nights at Home. I have just started Gym Club Lime and am doing Yoga have a cat called Razzy 10 years old very clean and home body.
I'm a keen cyclist, who works at the airport, and spends most of my spare time either on my bike or at the gym. Happy with pretty much anywhere as long as it has air conditioning and somewhere to put my car
Hey I'm George! I'm from Sydney and new to Canberra. I'm a graphic // web designer starting a job at the ABC for their political news team. I'm 27, I play the cello sometimes, keen cyclist and love to share a red wine with housemates. I've had to leave my brilliant house mate family in Sydney so looking for an equally brilliant bunch here in Canberra. George :)
I'm a fourth year student at ANU originally from Melbournebut here to study. I work part time as a swim instructor. I am fun and easygoing and enjoy sharing a meal or watching TV but also understand the need for space. Dependable I will do my share of the work. I also love animals so have no issue there :)
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’m working full-time in the APS (in Barton) and I’m looking to move closer to the city. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
Looking for someone to fill the void of "awesomeness" in your share house or setting up your own? We might be the girls for you! We are both easy going and have been nominated as MVP housemates from past share houses. I (Krista) am currently studying Medicine at ANU so spend most of my time with my nose stuck in a book, and Katie works full time as an orthodontist assistant in the City. I am originally from Canberra but completed a degree in the USA and Katie is originally from the USA so comes with her very own US accent! Most evenings we are out at various sports practices. But when we are home we are usually cooking or enjoying some quality Netflix (slash studying). We are up for the occasional housemate dinner and have some culinary skills to bring to the table. We are both well-trained housemates and are clean and respectful. We do our own thing but always up for a chat and some banter. We've also come to the realization (with the help of our livers) that we are too old to party, so you need not fear about that. Overall, we are pretty chilled to live with and are looking for somewhere that is conducive to suffering through Med but also friendly. If that sounds like your place / the place you envision send us a message!
