Room can come empty or furnished (e.g. bed, wardrobe, bedside table, desk etc. or partially furnished - happy to let everything go pretty cheap). Massive living area, fairly decent nbn speeds, central heating in winter, beautiful garden views (mostly Australian natives so fairly low maintenance, although if you enthusiastic I am sure you can take over my initial ambitions for a garden! - also peach, plum and apricot trees which fruit in late spring/early summer), plenty of storage and cupboard space. There is outdoor and plenty of indoor entertaining space too! Close to Dickson shops (5-10 minute walk, right near bike path to ANU so would be great for a student! - roughly twenty minutes on bike, like 1 min?? on bike to Dickson shops, 20 minute walk to tram, 5 - 10 minute walk to convenient bus stops). Right next to offleash dog area with overview of lake for duckwatching, bookreading, dog patting etc. Close to Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura makes for excellent hiking!
Hi, I've just started full-time work at a consulting firm. I value humour, integrity and kindness in others and in the past have enjoyed households in which there is a sense of community. I'm quite friendly, environmentally-conscious, enjoy bouldering, plants, reading, films, and travel. I'm hoping to find something that is around the $200 mark. Also hoping to have access to an undercover parking space. My family lives on a farm about an hour out from Canberra so I will come bearing honey, free-range eggs and green beans.
Our home is a 4-bed brick home. We've converted 1 bedroom into an Arts'Crafts/library space. Our back balcony is large enough for Sunday brunches and barbecues, overlooking a large, overgrown garden which we're trying to rehabilitate with a worm farm & compost heap. Our home gets plenty of sun & has its share of fruit trees. We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, gas induction heating throughout & winter curtains. The room is fully-furnished, with built-in wardrobes, mini-fridge and its own oil heater. We don't mind "untidy" but definitely err on the side of "clean" & appreciate the same in a flatmate.
Originally from the UK, been living in Australia/Canberra little over 4 years, I'm working 2 jobs in hospitality, I like to keep myself busy both working and hanging out with friends but also like some chill time playing board games or xbox. Love hiking, travelling and starting to cook more. I'm looking somewhere to live that feels like a home and where I can hang out in the kitchen or living room and talk, instead of staying in my room. I do have a small bird, she rarely makes noise at night but I cover her up to make sure she's quite, and only is out of the cage when I'm around with close supervision.
Hello there! I'm a 21 year old aspiring Earth Scientist who will be in Canberra for 3 months from May to July to take on an internship at the ANU. I'm into reading novels, watching TV shows, game a bit and enjoy travelling and just generally like going to new places. I keep clean (most of the time), don't smoke, and will respect your privacy. I am currently looking for a place at not too far a distance from the ANU. Basic amenities like Internet, Washer and a Kitchen would be necessary. Open to sharing rooms should such a circumstance arise. Also, I'd be staying for 2 weeks from 12th-26th July. If you're easy going and are kinda into the same things I am, then we will get along pretty well!
I will be commencing my master's in economics this July at ANU. I am a tidy person who likes to share meals occasionally or just sit by the TV and have a chat. I respect others' need for privacy and I expect the same from my flatmates. I enjoy cooking and cycling. I would love to try out new places for food but I do not smoke and drink.
I am very quiet and clean person! I love my alone time but also love to hangout and socialise with my housemates. I love live music and spending time with my puppies! I work full time in tourism and hospitality and casually at a small specialty shop. I am currently in the process of getting a bar job, as I am trying to save. I love books and plants and am a huge coffee addict! I am vegan and have 2 small dogs who are house trained and very cuddly. They are both older dogs and just like to nap all day. I have no specific date for moving, just wanting to find the right home for me and my puppies.
I'm a student who really values being clean and respectful in a share house situation. I'm also looking for somewhere with a nice and friendly social environment. I love festivals, hiking, going out and just chilling at home with company.
As of now, I'm looking for accommodation between July-December 2019. After my seasonal work in the summer, I'll look for accommodation on a one-year basis. Hello Everyone! My name is Michael and I'm looking for a room for July 2019! I study full-time at ANU while working part-time on Lonsdale Street. Whenever there is a winter or summer, I try to venture out to teach skiing and snowboarding as a coach. I'm pretty active in sports and maintain my fitness by going to the gym every day. I enjoy prioritizing work and being busy. So I do enjoy personal space but I also enjoy being social. I am very flexible in terms of living arrangements. If in need, I can always offer ski lessons haha! I've lived in share housing arrangements for the past 3 years so I am also familiar with different standards of household expectations. If you would like to have me as a sharehouse/friend, please don't hesitate to send me a message!
I have recently completed my master's degree from the ANU, and am looking for a place for about four to six months in Canberra. I don't smoke, and I keep my place clean. Ideally, I'm looking for an all female accommodation.
