The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom place - main with ensuite - separate living and dining, decent sized kitchen with modern appliances, paved area out the back door under a pergola and well established gardens (including a mulberry and fig tree and a vege patch). There's a double carport available, a shed/garage and a studio out the back – currently used for bikes and furniture overflow. AC in the dining and kitchen, which can also cool the lounge. We also have three chooks, which have just started laying. The room is large enough to fit a queen bed with space all around (3.5x3.5m) and has a large built-in, but otherwise unfurnished. The room used to rented out to boarders (20+ years ago), so it has a lock on the door and another door that opens into the back yard. The shared spaces are furnished - couch, dining table, cabinets, fridge. There is room for some more stuff. If you've got your own furniture/appliances, we are happy to shuffle stuff around to make things work. There's also a bit of storage space available for overflow. The garden will need a bit of attention, mostly watering so it doesn't die, mowing and oppressing the weeds. The owner will organise any of the more serious gardening. Ideally, we'd like a housemate that the gardening thing appeals to, so that helping with the maintenance is not so much of a chore. We the place stays pretty clean and tidy. We are looking for someone who can clean up after themselves without needing a reminder to do so. We're generally pretty quite, with the occasional board game night or dinner together. Bills in addition to the rent and split equally. The room is available now. If this sounds like your kind of place, get in touch with a bit about yourself.
Hi everyone ! I'm a 25 year old french gal Moving to Canberra in early october for work. I'm excited to discover the city. I'm used to living in flatshares so I'm (very) tidy, good at communicating and respecting people's space and I'm confident I can get along pretty well with anyone. In my spare time I love to go hiking, kayaking or exploring the city and testing out new restaurants. I also love to rest at home on the week ends and cook meals. I'm looking for a room in a non-smoking house or flat, preferably with other people working full time but I'm open to students as well ! Also if there’s NO carpeting around the house that would be a HUGE plus and I would sign a lease on the spot ! Feel free to message me if you want to know more about me. see ya !
Hi, I'm looking for a room long term in the inner north. I work full-time at ANU doing digital things. I like to have a chat but appreciate chill time too, and am pretty clean and tidy. I play soccer, try to keep plants alive, and am fascinated by Grand Designs. On the weekend you'll find me adventuring to the beach or the bush, exploring the city, or catching up with friends. If you think we could get along, I'd love to hear from you.
Aspiring to be a chef. Currently at tafe. I have a pending employment on January 2020 and I'm looking for a place to stay for just around a month. Possible extension depending on the results of my performance/how I feel about the workplace. I like things organized and clean but not a neat freak. Hoping that housemates would keep common space clean and free of clutter. I like socializing but I also like having my own private space. I am an easy going person. :)
Hey, I'm Josh! Looking for a room in a share-house in Canberra for next year when I start a graduate position with a APS agency. I think I'm pretty laid-back, love getting outdoors and hiking etc. I'm looking forward to heading down to Canberra and getting settled into my new home. Don't mind a beer or two - but nothing too crazy! And don't worry, I agree, the Raiders were robbed!
I'm a fourth year student at the ANU and work part-time. Respects housemates' privacy but also up for a chat. Seasoned housemate. Clean, tidy and quiet. Hobbies include cooking, watching trashy reality TV and sleeping. Looking for: furnished room for a 12 month lease starting in mid-late November 2019 in the inner north of Canberra.
I'm 24 and relocating from Sydney to Canberra to start an APS grad job in the new year. I am an avid reader and wine lover and I enjoy travel, exercise and floristry. On the weekends I love getting out and exploring. I'm itching to uncover Canberra's best bars, bookshops, brunch spots and running routes. I am highly organised, tidy and respectful of space and privacy. I like to follow a low-key routine during the working week, but am always down for a catch up over wine, dinner or a cuppa. I'm looking for a friendly and easy going (ideally female or mixed) shared house that will provide equally easy access to Belconnen as well as the city centre. I bring with me: furniture for my room, my car and plenty of book recommendations. I'm keen to lock down a room in December!
Hey! I’m a laid back 25 year old, looking for a new home. I’ve been sharing housing since I was 17, so I have lots of experience under my belt. I’m clean and tidy and enjoy either socialising or being solitary, depending on the houses vibes. I work full time and will be studying full time in a few months.
I'm a Canberra born and bred public servant, love to go out and try new bars/restaurants but also enjoy relaxing at home and catching up on my Netflix shows. Happy to share my account with prospective housemates!
