Hey there potential housemates, I'm a botanist about the begin my PhD at La Trobe Uni Bundoora. In my early thirties, I have partied, I have travelled, I have lived on my own and in student sharehouses, and now am looking for a comfortable place to call home. My PhD research is based on the genetics of Cannabis for medicinal purposes. I will be receiving a healthy scholarship fortnightly payment . I also work in the medicinal Cannabis industry itself. At home I'm tidy, respectful and cook most of my meals. Up for the occasional shared dinner. I like having a chat but also respect when others want time to themselves as I often do as well. I enjoy helping out in keeping the house clean and I always clean up after myself. Of course, I'm always keen to do some gardening. In my own time, I'm a regular at the gym, go for the odd bike ride, watch movies/TV series and sports, and explore things online. Outdoor adventures are my favourite but I probably won't be doing much of that while my PhD is going on. I get along best with open-minded, self-motivated, positive, and passionate people. I'm looking to live with one or two (max) professional types who are pretty stable and grounded. I have my own bedroom furniture including a desk. I also own a couch and a near-new 520L fridge if needed. Flexible with move date. If you're looking for someone who is mature but can bring a lot of cheerfullness, laughter and good energy into your home, then send me a msg! Cheers Gianni
We are a relaxed and friendly young couple from Hobart, Tasmania (19 and 20), and are looking for a couple-friendly place to live. We have moved to Melbourne as students to complete university degrees at La Trobe, and are both in our first year of Sport and Exercise Science. Due to moving states, we both have had to leave our previous jobs which has left us unemployed - despite this, we are looking for employment in the very near future and are financially stable (for our age). We love playing sports including hockey and athletics; we also love food paired with a good bev or two! We are looking for somewhere reliable to live for the course of our degrees, and look forward to being flatmates with relaxed and respectful people. Thank you! Jordan and Emma

Hey there, My names Talitha. I am 21 turning 22 in October. I am a full time dental assistant in the city. Excited to be on here and meet new people and make new friends. I'm generally very busy with work / study and fitness / dance. In my free time i like to see my boyfriend & friends, Play Xbox, draw, cook / meal prep. I'm very organised and tend to be a very clean person. I have struggled when i have lived with anyone younger because of this. I love to have a wine with my friends after a long week. I do work Saturdays which tend to be very busy at work so i really need a quiet room. Ideally I'd like to be somewhere that was a quiet place for the week and a place where people come over for pizzas and drinks on the weekend. Somewhere with respectful, clean & positive people that are welcoming to friends. My lease ends in August so I'm trying to line up a place before then as I don't have any family living in Melbourne. About you- Clean & friendly! Non-smoker! Male or female is okay! Pets are fine too!
Currently working as an AV technician at various venues/theatres around Melbourne. Easy to get along, enjoys the occasional Netflix binge and partakes in the 48 hour film competition each year.
A brown Bangladeshi girl who is fun loving and hates to stay messy. Studying full time at La Trobe, Bachelor of IT. I am a calm morning person, Looking for a place where I can get a good friendly environment but I respect other's privacy as well. Willing to increase budget if bills included Up for leasing a house together as my mother visits me once a year for a month. Willing to stay nearby any station with is max 15 min from city or any place from where PT goes straight to city and LA TROBE
We all claim to be house trained right? I'm financially sorted, committed to my studies and my job (at a food rescue program) and I'm looking for my forever home :D I'd love to live with someone who has a cat, or someone who's ok with me adopting one, but this isn't a deal-breaker. I'm looking to move in July, but this is flexible - I just want to find the right person or people to live with :) - I'm happy to move into an already established home, or start a new tenancy. I don't smoke anymore, but I don't mind if you do. My idea of a party is a bushdoof.
Hi, I'm Sean, 24 years old, I work full time within the university sector and I also study full time. I'm into health and fitness, trying new restaurants, going to the movies, socialising and TV show binging. I'm a pretty chilled out guy and would ideally like to live with housemates who enjoy the occasional hang out.
Hey guys, my name is Kimberley and I'm interested in joining someone on a lease to get an apartment! I have eyes on a few apartments, hit me up if you're interested in that! I'm a full-time computer science student, part-time pool lifeguard. (If you ever need cpr, I got yo back) I enjoy cooking, binge watching new tv series and making new friends. I am very self-aware and pick up after myself. I can be your friend or simply just your housemate. All I ask is that we could be friendly faces around the house and not having to be hesitant when leaving the room. Although having a friend to go for brunch with sounds awesome, I can total respect your wishes! :) Also, I am looking to live with someone who is okay with my bf staying over part of the week as we alternate places. We are likeminded people so definitely no drama there. :)
Hey there, im a 28 year old female moving from Perth to Melbourne on the 25th of June. Im a fairly easy going person who is looking to board a single room in a quiet household. I enjoy reading, bush walking, craft and meditation. I would like to live in a household with others who respect one another, and are responsible with sharing household cleaning ☺
I have two different jobs which I really enjoy, and love catching up with my friends, so I’m often out and about. When I’m at home I like taking it easy, I’m very upbeat and positive. I’m a pretty easy person to be around and tend to get along with most kinds of people.
We are situated parallel to a shopping strip where several shops, cafes etc are a few minutes walk away. Parklands, train, buses, freeway are also very closely situated to us. The house is a comfortable space with a spacious kitchen, dining and lounge area, as well as an easily manageable court yard for enjoyment of the afternoon sun. 3 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms is pretty much unheard of for the price of rent we pay, it works super well for an all girl house! There is also a sizeable laundry with double trough, storage and washing machine available for use. We have netflix and internet if you would like to share in the cost. We have a puppy! He is a small maltese x shitzu black and white little man. He does not shed, he is incredibly cute and loved by everyone in the house. He is an inside dog when we are home but spends his time in the yard when no one is home. At night he sleeps in the laundry.
Beautiful, modern apartment overlooking parkland with direct access to walking/biking tracks and the Yarra river. Across the road from shops (Aldi,Coles,Leo’s,chemists) and five minute walk to trains and buses. 15-20 minute drive to city. Balcony access from your room. Carpeted, 3m x 2.9m. Double mirrored BIR. House has dishwasher, bath, split system heating/air con, washing machine, drier and is fully furnished except for your room. When Tiffany moves out we will need some furniture so if you have some we could possibly store in the garage storage unit. Happy to discuss. You’ll be sharing a bathroom. We are non smokers and vegan and would prefer the same of you (vegetarian is okay too). We have a dog- Asher the cavoodle and she is supposed to be a therapy dog but she’s more like a child. She’s non shedding and since Maddy and I both have allergies I can say with full confidence she’s non allergenic. She loves hugs. Free wifi, Netflix and secure garage parking.
Quiet, tidy. Slightly introverted single gay guy looking to share with quiet respectful gay or gay friendly person. I work in the music biz but don't let that freak you out. I don't pump load music. Like cinema, TV, gym.
We are both Chinese Malaysians couple who migrated here last year and currently looking for a place to move into. We had been living in Melbourne for almost a year. My partner is woking full time whereas I am a full time student. We prefer to rent the whole property or unit as we are late nighters. We do not party but we just prefer to do our work and studying at night. Prefer to have the place furnished as we do not own any furniture currently. Feel free to message us if you think you have a place that we might like.
Hello there. I am seeking a home to share with community minded, creative beings who are interested in co-creating a peaceful, harmonious, easy-going, tidy, respectful, loving and nurturing space together. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and as well completing my Kundalini Yoga training program. My hobbies and interests are in : spirituality, philosophy, healing, well-being (meditation, yoga, nutrition, kirtan, natural therapies, etc..), conscious dance, sacred music, films, art, reading, being in nature, eating out, travel, singing and pretty much any workshop or book on self-development that allows me to learn more about myself, others and improve who I am as a person. I am honest, mature and respectful of others space, and also seeking the same from others. I am also drug and alcohol free, and would prefer a home of open, authentic, conscious connections and communication with one another. I am not fussed about living with others who enjoy a wine over a meal, but definitely not interested in a party house. I am interested in a quiet space where I can study, as well as, re-charge and unwind. I would enjoy a conversation, meal or outing with fun-loving housemates every so often. As well as a tidy space, where we all contribute in keeping the environment clean and tidy for all. A home near public transport services is a necessity, preferably train and tram services. An unfurnished room and additional storage space would be ideal. I am vegan and would prefer a vegan and/or vegetarian household. I have lived with meat-eaters before though that are respectful and understanding. I also volunteer in assisting with and marketing events within the conscious Melbourne community, as well as activism for the welfare and rights of animals. I am more than happy to live with cats, and the more the merrier :)
The property is a 3 bedroom villa unit. There is an air conditioner and ducted heating. 2 minute walk to shops and 15 minute walk to train station. (Zone 1) Looking for a warm and friendly person who will treat this house as a home. The room is unfurnished but the house is fully furnished.
Hi! we are looking for a FEMALE to occupy the room. we DO NOT accept inspection applications from people without profiles and a detailed description. We get 2 of these enquiries a day, so make sure you have a COMPLETE profile for consideration. update 22nd may - 1 room available late June/early july. this place goes FAST. taking interest now.. The rental INCLUDES everything you need, all utilities etc. etc. Its not a misleading ad claiming cheaper rent and then utility bills and consumables, laundry costs etc. pile on top (and are very high usually -especially with personal airconditioning/heating costs). Neither is it a CRAMPED. STINKY CITY/CHEAP apartment. Its basically a HOUSE with a small garden (by usual aussie standards small that is). Be careful about other ads "too good to be true" - Melbourne is one of the worlds most expensive cities to live in and we're making that part easy and affordable for you in return for the right type of person to share it with us. We hear this story from all who have stayed with us. Each room is fully airconditioned AND heated with personal controls, and ALL amenities available. Modern, fully furnished, awesome cupboard with shoe rack and hangers, desk, PC/Laptop, printer/fax/scanner etc. also available. Pay TV in room and Alexa and Google chromecast as well as HAYU (all the trash TV in the world you knew you never wanted) - All this is included in rent. Its like a 5 star hotel room only you serve yourself! Bathroom has a separate bathtub and the toilet is a separate room from bathroom! Big mirror and shelves etc. see photo. Theres 3 full bathrooms with showers. The 3rd bathroom is downstairs so you can share the upstairs bathroom with 1 other, and theres plenty of space for storage of cosmetics etc, or use the downstairs one. Parking outside is plenty and free, safe. and easy to access. The best cafes, restaurants, beauty salons, bakery, coles, aldi, chemist warehouse, and 2x 24 hour fitness first/gyms are all a 5 min walk. Heidelberg Station (zone 1) AND Rosanna train stations are a 15/10 min walk too, and the express train gets you into the CBD in 12 minutes. Leafy parks are within walking distance (10 mins walk, and bike riding distance 2 mins, you can use my bike). Bus transport also very very close. Car-wise its pretty good travelling too! We have two adorable puppies who are kept nearly obsessively clean, fully house trained and trimmed (allergy free) - "model" dogs and while we are away, they usually have several people who want to look after them offsite, so don't worry about looking after if youre not used to it, they're very well loved by everyone around us, but they will make you love them! We usually meet up for a coffee in burgundy street. then go to inspect the property. If you are overseas, we can skype, viber, or whatsapp. We're not desperate on having just anybody come in - but we're really easygoing and prefer people who we can get along with and be comfortable around. If we don't respond its likely because your profile is either incomplete or I think you'll be wasting your time as your profile doesn't match what we're seeking in a housie. If you're an expert in winning blackjack/poker or billiards/table tennis its a bonus :) We provide everything: high speed internet, bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, even playing chips for blackjack and it wont cost you extra like other places! if you lose in blackjack, then i'll even throw in a tissue box. hehehee hope to hear from you soon! cheers! Kris and Ant
Our house is like being flung back into a 1960's ski lodge. It's huge, and sometimes I still get lost in here. First level features seperate dining, living and kitchen areas, 2 bathrooms, and your future bedroom. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms and a cute lil balcony. Downstairs is a large rumpus room that we haven't quite figured out what to do with yet. Hopefully you have some ideas. Features - Red kitchen - Hardwood floors - Lots of windows and natural light - Big big backyard - Noises at night that keep you wondering if you're about to be murdered - Really pretty street & lovely neighbours - Never seen a mouse or spider here - Really big tv - On cold nights if you close you eyes and try really hard you can make yourself believe you're in Russia
Im currently studying a certificate IV in disability and working at a cafe 4-5 days a week. I'm a big people person, I love chatting with anyone about anything, so I'm hoping to live with someone who wouldn't mind sitting at the table chatting over coffee((:
I am self employed, easy to communicate with, flexible in a variety of households. I enjoy the outdoors, being creative, camping, reading, and working with my crew on various projects.
Hi there! My name is Andrea, and have just newly moved down to beautiful Melbourne from Sydney this year. I am currently studying Chinese Medicine full-time, and I work on Fridays and weekends in a restaurant in Thornbury. I love this city, and everything that comes with it, being live music, art galleries, the old library, the cinemas and of course the lovely people! I think it is so important to have good relationships with the people you live with, and I am very sociable and would love to get to know you.
I'm well mannered, tidy, reliable, quiet, easy going, can cook, family orientated, I'm a full time student studying in Health care, planning to work in a Hospital or Aged-care facility. What i do for fun and in my spare time? I love to socialize and chill out on my pc, love dining out, like to watch movies, hang out with mates, love to wind down with a beer or wine. I have lived on my own for 3 years and lived in shared housing with both female/males for 2 years. So i pay rent/bills on time. I will respect each others space, i have relevant information such as references. I have my own bed, TV(tv unit) and desk +pc+laptop, also have a Netflix account. I'm wanting to rent out a room in a 2 bedroom place with all amenities, must have internet. Also happy to team up with someone to get a place too.
Hi! My name is Emma. I'm 26 years old and I'm a High School English Teacher looking for a team up. I've got permanent employment, basically an entire houses' worth of furniture, so all you'd need to bring is things for your own room (and maybe a dining table - thats the one thing I don't have) A little bit more about me: I am an introvert, though I am working on pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. I'm a massive nerd, and I have the following consoles which I am happy to share: SNES, WiiU, Switch, Xbox 360. Plus I am looking to get a Wii to play my extensive collection of Gamecube games and a PS4 to play the games I have of those too. I have a lot of books, and enjoy reading. My other hobbies include board games, table top games (DnD and the like), Movies and TV. I also have a pet cat, who's name is Snooker. She's a 4 year old Domestic Short Hair, all black with a little white splash. She loves napping, eating, and being petted then smacking your arm away for little to no reason. She's quite a social, vocal cat. You can pick her up, but she won't always like that, and you'll be covered in black fur if you do. I would be commuting to Macleod every day, leaving nice and early in the morning (7am) and not returning until the evening (past 5:30pm) so I will need somewhere to park my car. I won't be ready to move until school holidays which is starting from the 30th of June, so we would have lots of time to get to know each other. My ideal housemate is someone who is nice, clean, with stable employment too. I wouldn't mind someone I click with as friends and can hang out with occasionally, though would also be ok with doing their own things at times. I don't mind about gender, provided you're a decent, kind person. LGTBTI+ very welcome to message too! I enjoy cooking, mostly breakfast foods. I do like meal planning my week, but I wouldn't mind someone who would like to share meals from time to time. I'm also partial to the occasional drink, though I wouldn't like living with someone who wants to have people constantly over and for parties. That's just not me. I'm more of a low-key hangout person, and I'd like someone who's similar in that respect. People who enjoy bad puns would be more than welcome. If you don't enjoy bad puns and lame jokes... I might not be the house mate for you.
Hi my name is Elise and I am a 23year old full time Engineer (9-5pm). I am originally from Adelaide, but have been sent to Melbourne with work for the rest of the year. I am slightly more introverted and so most days after work you will catch me binge watching Netflix or Stan - I do like to go out now and then though. But I also love to be active - so will want to join a gym/play social sport etc I am not a morning person (or a night person for that matter haha) so usually in bed on work nights around 10:30pm and up as late as possible for work (will depend on the drive to work ~ bottom of Bundoora) - but am a very heavy sleeper! Back in Adelaide I am in a 5 person share house with 5 cats and a dog (don't worry they are all staying there) and so love animals - also used to cleaning and being respectful of other's space! I am very easy to get along with :)
Hi there! My name is Grace and I'm currently looking for a warm and friendly home! I'm 25, currently working part time as a nurse and studying part time doing my postgraduate of emergency nursing. I love to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Love to gym and love to cook :) I keep mostly to myself, prefer to socialise with friend outside of home. Respect that a house is shared and needs to be cared for. I'm super clean, and always will clean up after myself. And hope to find a housemate with alike values.
We are a couple moving back to Australia from NZ on the 30th of April with our pet cat Ninja who is neutered and housetrained. We are easy going, open minded people who love to get out and enjoy life. Also not massive party animals but don’t mind the odd drink now and again.
