Hello! I've recently moved to Tasmania and am looking for a home. I love the Tasmania lifestyle, the outdoors, books, movies, art, yoga, nature and learning about sustainability and growing food. I work full time in the city and have the flexibility to work from home, travelling interstate for training and meetings every few months. I'm a fully grown adult who has lived in share houses for many years, some housemates have become life long friends but that is never the expectation!
Hi :) I'm a super clean and tidy, generally quiet, green-inclined homely homie seeking a tidy, quiet and green homely home 😁 My lifestyle tends to involve cooking, good local vegetarian/vegan food, markets, dance, dessert (I like to bake!), community connections, drawing/life modeling, yoga/kirtan/meditations, gardening and other creative dreamings 😊. I desire a *smoke and drug-free* sunny space (not too chic, not too shabby - rustic aok) where I can contribute my energy and create deliciousness in the kitchen, store some stuffs, maybe write and create some stuffs, and grow my own veggies :) I'm also doing my best eco-consciously, aiming for living zero waste. I very rarely dring alcohol - kombucha is enough for me 😉 Ideally, a calm self-contained space or share with 1 other, maaaybe 2, (sans children) would suit me best. I enjoy deep intelligent conversation and equally my own company. 😊 Did I mention I like to cook and feed people? 😉 And did for a couple years at Source Community Wholefoods until recently 😁 I adore animals and would really like to keep my absolute lovebug of a furry feline friend (rescued from a garbage bin (!)) and his somewhat less social spirit brother (also rescued, after a torturous first few weeks in life), both of whom I am a responsible, wildlife-protecting guardian. I've also raised a couple hens who can supply golden yolks, and their bodyguard (but will rehome if necessary). Additionally I would like to be able to share custody (alt weeks) of my most beautifully affectionate therapy dog, Lakshmi 💛 For the love of fresh air, stars and energetic solitude, I crave a quiet, green space - preferably less than 30 mins to town - but am certainly open to options and ideas 😀 Please, let's talk 🕉 Smiles, Sufiyo Rubyn

The available room includes a bed base and mattress and has an inbuilt wardrobe. House is close to the city but feels secluded with a nature reserve behind the house. Rent will be approximately $210 p/w which includes NBN internet . Room is available from 16th October, 2019
Sunny recently renovated home in the wonderful vibrant South Hobart community. Good sized bedroom available in fully furnished house. Shared bathroom and laundry. Close to shops, public transport and mountain trails. Walking or biking distance to CBD. Relatively quiet space but with the normal urban hum. You’ll be sharing with myself, an outdoor enthusiast, climber and mountain biker. When I’m at home I like books and music. I share custody of two boys aged 9 and 11 who are here part of the week Mon, Tues, Wed nights but we will be trying to spend much of the summer away road tripping and camping. I work or play outdoors in the weekends so the space is relatively quiet and empty then. Looking for like minded souls are who reasonably tidy and minimalist. No smokers please. Length of stay negotiable and on month to month basis.
The home is located on a bus route and is close to the CBD and the University. It is in a quiet and safe area and is situated among trees and some wildlife. There is some water views although small. Lots of sun and fresh air, close to shops and on a bus stop and main terminal. I have Netflix and reverse cycle air conditioning and am equipped with a good kitchen and all appliances. The home is modern and clean. 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Large garden area. This is a non smoking, no drug home.
I am offering a spacious, furnished room in my home which attracts lots of sun as it faces North. It is in a quiet area, leafy and green surroundings with some wildlife. Some view of the city and bridge and Derwent from Patio. The home is air conditioned or reverse cycle and is reasonable to run. I do have small dogs who are friendly so you would need to like dogs to live here. This is a no smoking house and a quiet one.
Hello! I'm Clare, I'm a student at UTAS and I also work for the university as a student mentor and outreach worker. I like to cook, run and sing (not at home!) and try to live sustainably where I can. I'm a tidy, responsible and friendly housemate; I like my quiet time but also enjoy sharing a cuppa or occasional meal. I'll be moving in the middle of November and I'm looking for a room in a house with a kindred spirit or two; or a studio or granny flat.
I'm a nurse from England keen for new experiences and working around Australia to gain a new perspective on life and work. I'm usually either at work or out exploring in my converted ute, but when I am at home I'm social but respectful of privacy and like to have a nice clean and comfortable base to go to nursing shifts from.
Hi! I'm moving to Tas for a postdoc at IMAS studying Southern Ocean carbon cycling. Originally I'm from San Diego, California and have been hoping around the east coast of the US for the last decade or so (North Carolina, Boston, DC). After grad-schooling in Boston I spent the last year working in renewable energy at the US Department of Energy in DC but am excited to get back into academia (and closer to the outdoors!). Outside of work I like to climb and will likely be doing that most weekends (would love to room with another climber!). I also surfed a lot growing up and will likely be getting back into that. On the less adventurous side I like to play tennis and basketball, though I'm pretty bad at both... Non-sports wise I like to see and listen to music, hang out at bars, eat yummy food, etc, etc. Home-wise, I have a massive amount of records and books I can bring to the table. I imagine I'll climb most days after works, and typically get home around 8 or 9, and then like to throw on a record or rot my brain on some TV. Love to have friends over for food and or games. Roommate-wise I'm definitely looking for like-minded people that I'd look forward to coming home to and kicking it with. Happy to chat on Skype or face time or something....these things are awkward. Feel free to stalk me on the internet (I*G*: earthrockandsound, L*a*s*t N*a*m*e: rohr). I don't move down till March 1 but would be amenable to signing into something earlier if it is the right situation. Finnnnnnallllly, I'm also looking into buying a house and renting out some rooms. So if you are interesting in teaming up and don't have a plan yet, that could also be an option! Cheers, Tyler
