So it's time for me to move closer to work, as my long commute to the office each weekday has finally got on my nerves. As an active person that enjoys exploring Victoria I'm often out and about hiking or biking on weekends, but when I'm home and have the time I like learning to cook new meals (vegetarian is a specialty), spending time relaxing out in the backyard, watching a bit of TV or surfing the web. Being an engineer my work hours are generally 8.30am - 6pm on weekdays and I usually play basketball at least one night a week. Would be great to have a couple shared interests with my potential housemate/s, so give us a heads up as to what you enjoy doing in your spare time if you are to message me. I come house trained, so that means I clean up after myself (and often others), make time each day to complete the necessary chores, pay my bills early or on time and am more than happy to socialise when the time is appropriate. Hey! This house is awesome! It has 3 good sized bedrooms - the one available is towards the front of the house, between the front room and the bathroom. We have a large lounge area which is furnished with a couch and tv - there is Apple TV and a PS3 also if any of that interests you! The kitchen is a decent size with plenty of storage available. The bathroom was renovated a year ago right before we first moved in. There is a huge backyard with a shed if you have anything that needs to be locked up. There is also a storage area underneath the house as well - which used to be a wine cellar/who knows what! Parking is available on the street, we're at the end of a very quiet and very safe street. Unlimited internet provided in rent. The house comes fully furnished with everything - your own room can be furnished if required. The only thing we are lacking for the moment is a clothes dryer and a lawn mower! The house has air-con and ducted heating throughout, which got a lot of use this winter! Right next to the house (literally over the fence) there is a walking trail if you like getting out for walks, we're right near the Eastlink bike trail also and a heap of other great parks and reserves. *** *** Please only apply if you love animals!! This is our number 1 rule. Our animals have access at all times to the house and backyard as we have a dog door. They will not be allowed in your room of course, but will try to follow you in if you let them - which you are more than welcome to! We are both pretty quiet and are looking for someone similar, this isn't a party house at all :). Lexi and myself take care of all the cleaning of the house - we just ask that whoever joins us takes care of mowing the lawns and taking out the rubbish - only two jobs! Our other option is to hire a gardener and we all share the cleaning of the house. You would not be on the actual lease but we do have a sublet agreement for you which outlines all terms and clauses for the house. You would still need to provide a bond and contribute to bills. The house provides a warm and friendly environment for anyone to make their home. It's only a 5-minute walk to tram route 75, which will take you to Deakin University in less than ten minutes.
