I currently work in Education Administration and have an excellent full time position in Brisbane not far west from the CBD. I'm a kiwi who has decided to explore the world a little further and I have been in Brisbane since mid January 2024. I am kind, courteous and respectful of diversity. I like a clean and tidy house and do my upmost to maintain it. The maintenance guy in my last building has even commented on how well I kept my unit. I have a few friends since moving here, so I tend to spend most weekends off visiting. I have one adult daughter who lives in NZ. I like animals, but, as I like to do as much traveling as I can, I won't be getting a pet in Australia. That being said, I am more than happy to treat yours like my own for the time being. I have house sat for a number of people over the past few years who have dogs, and cats that I have looked after and even guinea pigs and a turtle! I would ideally like to find somewhere until the end of the year with the opportunity to extend further if it's working out for us. I'm quite social generally so always up for a cuppa and a yarn or a glass of wine but sometimes feel the need to hang out in my room quietly too. I like to explore all Brisbane has to offer, markets, sight seeing, cafes, visiting coastal islands, meeting new people etc. My family are all into sailing so it's rubbed off on me over the years. Easter 2024 I helped my parents on a coastal voyage of NZ to relocate their yacht closer to home. I am car-less here so parking is not an issue but I do need to be within walking distance of a train station or close to the bus system. I am currently in a furnished unit, however if I need to purchase a bed or anything else for an unfurnished place I could do that too. I already have most kitchen equipment. I can pay more just prefer not to have to. Also I'm flexible on length of stay, but probably looking for something finishing towards the end of the year perhaps. As for moving, I need to give my current residence 4 weeks notice. I am not in any hurry to move either but my place will go on the market sometime this year so looking to get out before that happens. That's me, feel free to ask if you have any questions.
