A large newly built house in the Adelaide hills, just 1 mins walk to the train which takes you straight into the city. Our street and neighborhood are beautiful and quiet, yet it's only 8km to the city line of site, or 11km by road. There's koalas, kookaburras, and heaps of wildlife in our back yard. For even more, the Belair National Park is just 800m away. Europeans accustomed to lots of smaller cities spaced closely together might feel 8 -11km from the CBD is a long way, but in a country with its 5 capital cities 700-2500 km apart, Blackwood is genuinely very close to the Adelaide city center. The largest shopping center in South Australia is even closer at 7km away, with 3 of the 4 big grocery brands all in the main street of Blackwood. The community feel here is great and our area is very safe. Our neighbors even orgainsed a street party to welcome us to the street when we first built the house! For students, Flinders Uni is close by (public transport is a short 2 step trip), although with a direct train into the city, Adelaide Uni and Uni SA are a little further away, but technically a bit easier. The house has a wood fire for winter, but also a ducted reverse cycle air-conditioner, state of the art Clipsal C-Bus lighting system, the fastest unlimited 100Mb/s broadband connection available here, Netflix, Google Play Music, BBQ, and more. We're still finishing the last few things inside the house (2nd version of the kitchen is still to come), but are mostly working on the gardens and outside of the house at the moment. We're hoping to set up the lawns, outdoor cinema and deck throughout this year :) The Bedrooms: A) the smaller bedroom has a single bed, desk, and drawers B) the first larger bedroom has a queen bed, desk, built in robes, full length mirror, TV with Netflix and sunset views through the lush trees. C) the second larger bedroom has been taken * All rooms include bills Shared spaces: - We have our own en-suite, so the downstairs bathroom is only shared by the 3 guests and any visitors - our house is quite large, so we’ve quite comfortably had 3 guests living here for the past 4 months without any issues. Even when we’re all cooking at the same time in the huge kitchen. - car parking. There are 2 guest parking spaces that are off the road, and even more on the road. Room availability: Smaller single bed room taken until at least June 2019 Large room (A) available February 2019 Large room (B) taken until further notice
The house is in a great position within walking distance to Belair National Park main entrance and easy access to public transport to the city and to Flinders university and marion shopping centre. There is split systems throughout house and home is double brick and stays cool in the summer.
Big house 3 bathrooms Swimming pool Multiple living areas Across the road from belair national park 15 minutes to CBD 10 minutes to Flinders Bus stop is next to the house and is 25 mins to the city Netflix and foxtel
Great location just off the Main Rd in Belair and within 5 minute drive to the National Park. Ideal for Flinders university students being a 10minute (max) drive to university and within walking distance to train and bus services. Old, quirky house with a nice sized backyard, big rooms and a combustion heater in the lounge room. * It is a must that our new housemate/s love dogs. We have two dogs who we treasure. Well behaved and provide great company :)
Occupational therapist. 24. 2 year old bordoodle (bordercollie x poodle). He is the lasiest 2 year old ever who loves a cuddle and play so needs to be with people who like dogs
Laid back, full time professional. Social but mindful of personal space and privacy.
I am commencing my Speech Pathology masters degree in March 2019 and am looking to move closer to Flinders Uni. I am happy to make friends and hang out with housemates but I also know how to respect boundaries and space. I am experienced with living with others (apart from family), clean and adaptable. I have a cute dog! Bonus: can cook and love cooking for the house if they want it!
Hello, My name is Andrew and am looking for a room in Adelaide's southern suburbs in a place with no more than 2 other housemates (3 total). Here is a little bit about myself: I am a 31 year old male who is originally from Canada and have lived in Australia for about 4 years total. I came to visit Australia 7 years ago and loved it so much that I told myself I would come back to live forever. I was finally able to secure my permanent visa so I could live my dream. I have a couple university degrees and am currently trying to get into medical school. I also currently work full time for the government. My job is pretty full on and I sometimes need to wake up at 5:30am, so need to be well rested. It is important that I am living in a place that is quiet, especially at night after 11pm. I am a quiet person but enjoy going out and having a good time once in a while. I enjoy hiking, fishing, gardening and just relaxing in the outdoors in general. I am also a very passionate cook and love making food for others. Over the past few years I have lived primarily with females. In my experience, they have generally been more respectful/clean/not excessive partiers. This is my preference, but am open to live with anyone as long as we are on the same page. I must mention that I always pay rent on time. Additionally, I have a home gym so having an outdoor covered area for this would be ideal. Finally, I am very neat and tidy, a clean home is a happy home! I look forward to taking a look at your place if we seem like we would be compatible flat mates. Please send me a message with a little about yourself/s and we will go from there. Oh and cannot live with cats (allergies) Thank you for the consideration! Regards, Andrew
Hey I'm Sav, looking for accommodation while I study at TafeSA Adelaide in Visual Arts. I've lived in Adelaide all my life and still enjoying it, although next year I'm considering moving to Melbourne and/or working while traveling around Australia. I love music and most often have some chilled beats in the background going. I like to travel to festivals interstate and enjoy the experiences that people, art, music, and more from around the globe have to teach me. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, camping, or going for trips in Adelaide Hills with my dog Cujo (Pug X Jack Russell). I have always enjoyed cooking really good food, having grown up with a mostly hospitality family memebers! I'm contentious about my consumption and waste, using as many reuse and recycle tips as I can. I'm mature and very respectful, I care a lot for the people around me. I'm looking for a share house with social, respectful, mature people that allow my dog to come along. A room that can fit a bedroom set including a desk, and a veggie patch or nice garden to maintain would be desirable!
Hello, need a place in Adelaide for the next 3-6 months. I'm very quiet and down to earth. I still enjoy a good yarn if the subject is right, but most of the time I very much keep to myself. I'm not too fussed about a bit of mess but cannot stand food scraps or dishes around the place. Love cult films, music of almost any kind and wouldn't turn away a cheeky red. I'm equal parts outdoors person and indoors, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds. Available to move from the 23rd of January.
Hi I’m jessica. Currently working as a waitress but will be moving to Adelaide for something different I also have a boyfriend that is doing uni in Adelaide but we are not living together. Looking to work in retail. From a small town in South Australia, easy going, like a laugh, pretty quiet person usually until you get to know me. Give me a message
Responsible, keep to myself but can be sociable. Clean but not overly obsessive. I have 3 pets all well behaved. 1 dog and 2 cats . They may come to you for pats otherwise I take full care of them. I have a casual job and also run my own buisness. Im also finishing my diploma this year so I will be very busy. I smoke but only outside. Looking to share half a house or rent 2 rooms as I have some furniture and appliances. Anywhere south of adelaide would be great.
Hi, I'm Hugh I work in agricultural research. I enjoy a good movie, swimming and walking. I am looking for a friendly place to live due to a marriage break down. Looking forward to meeting you and sharing a place to live.
I’m clean respectful and pay on time Want a chilled environment Would love to bring my cat but if not he will stay with my mum I’m a student looking to work with youth Also avail for work in events
I am fun and up for a chat but I do like to keep to myself as much as possible. Looking for a large bedroom with a BIW. Would love to have my own bathroom but can live without having my own. I love animals but don’t have any of my own. I have most of my own furniture so that doesn’t need to be supplied.
I'm a Paramedic student completing my final year at Flinders University. I'd obviously love to live as close to uni for as little rent as possible. It'd also be awesome to have friendly housemates I can get along with -- but I'd also like my own time to study and chill out. I'm very tidy and pretty busy with university and part-time work. I don't intend to throw parties or be too rowdy or anything. Ideally I'd like 12 months accommodation, but anything 6months+ I'd consider. Internet is also very important to me. Besides that I should be able to furnish at least my own room and add to the house/place if needed. It'd also be a bonus if you had a pet doggo and love exercise (I'd appreciate some extra motivation!). *Note: - I can't $150 weekly bills and such -- ideally it would cost less than $150pw. - I usually travel to the yorke peninsula inbetween uni semesters, so I'd appreciate if for those few weeks of the year I could get some discount on bills or rent. If there's any other questions you have don't hesitate to contact me!
I am kind and down to earth person, who values my privacy and space and will do the same to others, but I also like hanging out and having a drink while chatting or watching tv. I don't smoke or do drugs and I've lived overseas for three and a half years. I will be working locally in the disability sector. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just send me a message 😊
Hi! I'm a 19 year old girl from Norway moving to Adelaide to study at the University of Adelaide. I lived in Adelaide during my exchange two years ago, so I'm well used to the city. I'm an easygoing girl who's always looking to learn something new, meet new people and make great memories. I love going to gigs and hanging out with my friends, but am also a huge fan of quiet nights in watching netflix or listening to music. I play flute and guitar, so any future roommate should be comfortable with some repetitive rehearsing every now and then. Other than that I am pretty okay to live with, I know how to keep to myself and try to keep a clean and organised space. I am looking for someone who I can potentially become friends with, that I can talk to when I feel like it and whom I can have dinner with and watch movies with. But I have no problem keeping to myself if you'd prefer that.
Hi, I'm looking for a place to move into in the next month or so. I'm currently studying visual art at uni, so love a good art or music sesh, and I'm also working at a cafe in the city. I love animals, so I'm happy to move somewhere with pets! I am easy going and always down for a chat, but clean and respectful of everyone's space!
