    Claire and Nick

$350/week26-28 year old woman and man

Seeking 'Couple Friendly' Room - Ensuite preferred, but not essential 🙂 Hi, I'm Carol (though I go by Claire), and I've recently moved to Victoria to begin a new chapter in my life. I'm 29 and currently committing to legal studies to become a barrister, which means I spend a lot of time focused on that. I am also working on the entry requirements to start training at the Police Academy in Glen Waverley, hence the desire to relocate as I'm currently regional West of the city and spend a lot of time travelling to my commitments. Our weekly budget is capped at $350, at least until I start working. I am looking for a place for myself and my partner. My partner (Nick) is a full-time Monash student studying his Masters in Architecture. He is very similar to me regarding study. We both commit a lot of hours into our work. We do want to find a household that is friendly, perhaps keen to build somewhat of a relation outside of just co-existing but that's just a bonus 🙂 A little about us: 🌼 Quiet and considerate of other people including their routines and personal space 🌼 Tidy, clean and self aware 🌼 Friendly and approachable, but also respectful of downtime and privacy 🌼 We don't associate with substances or parties, nor do we intend to have guests over (if we want to do something, we will go out) 🌼 Organised and punctual with rent and bills—I've maintained an excellent payment record and have a great references 🌼 We are home-orientated. Always happy to help with bins, locking up, or general household tasks When I’m not buried in textbooks, I enjoy relaxing or going for walks. I do also like to sit outside with a tea or coffee and just enjoy some sunshine (or rain). I am trying to get into art and reading too. I find peace and joy in simple things. Nick is very much the same, he too enjoys his coffee and long walks. I’m happy to provide a rental reference if needed—I’ve previously lived both independently in a rental and in shared housing as a flatmate. I also have a small parrot - Lennon who is a yellow peachface lovebird. She lives in a well-maintained cage which is usually kept in my room, however my current living situation likes her presence and allows her to be housed in the living area during the day shall I choose to wheel her out. She sleeps 10-12hrs at night, so is quiet. My rental references can vouch for her good behaviour. She is very well behaved, and does not chew furniture or walls. I provide her with a lot of enrichment for this. I also have a thick plastic carpet cover that goes under her cage for mess, however I haven't needed to use it. She is perch trained to go to the toilet.

    $325/week34 year old woman

I'm a kind, good-natured mid-thirties female (she/her) looking for like-minded people to team up with or join a 2-4 bedroom home. I work as a government project officer 3 days at the office, 2 days wfh. I have a beautiful golden retriever, so being a dog lover is a must. Penny (4) is an old soul; we volunteer as a therapy dog team. My day to day looks like getting up early walking the Penny, going to the gym, work, cooking a delicious dinner and having an early night. I volunteer outside of work so my weeknights are pretty filled up, but you might find me watching a trashy TV show in between. My weekends mainly consist of catching up with family, friends and life admin, going for adventures with Penny and cooking. I love food, cooking and eating! My ideal place: A spacious house with air conditioning and heating. Lots of natural light with a fully fenced outdoor area suitable for the dog. Close to public transport and parklands or a walking trail (We love Merri Creek). I really value an uncluttered and tidy house. Happy to have your friends and family over by not interested in a party house or hosting kick ons. I have some furniture- couch, coffee table, hall table, dining table, and plants that could be contributed. About you: You are kind, friendly, easy going and an excellent communicator that has lived in successful share houses before. You work full time and also enjoy keeping fit and healthy. You love love love dogs, are emotionally mature, tidy and respectful. You enjoy having a friendship with your housemates but also have a life of your own. You like to cook and share a meal from time to time. You’d prefer to live in a community environment rather than a hotel. If this sounds like you, please respond with lots of information about yourself and what you're up to in Melbourne long term. I look forward to messaging you and finding our perfect home!
