Nick and myself are w single family that live to the fullest he attends state school here in the gold coast so I need a decent commute daily to his school. By trade I am a recovery life coach and also a self proclaimed artist so I enjoy working either from home or hybrid depending on my case load. We love to help others and enjoy being around positive energy and people it makes home life so vital. We have been leasing independently now for several years in the gold coast cbd and Melbourne cbd but with the current rental crisis here on the Gold Coast a perfect option for us would to join a shared home as we really just need our room to sleep in and me occasionally work from home. We have a beautiful aquatic turtle by the name of Donatello he absolutely loves new people and has a huge personality. I also habe my registered anxiety pet Nelly who is a very short coat black cat who lives on my hip or under my bed , she is very neat and tidy and clean. I believe in respecting others the way I would want to be treated so following family values , house rules , signing an agreement to secure a long term stay for us is not an issue at all. We are currently in a very unsecured building in surfers that is a tiny studio bed sitter that is so dangerous the stairs etc are starting to fall to bits and we have no security at all around our building not to mention to cost of rent is close to $600 per week. It is right in the heart of Surfers Paradise sorrounded by loud backpackers 24/7 , loud partying , emergency services sirens etc going off all the time ni matter the hour of the day. As a result of this we are not sleeping we need to find something that allows us to rest and be ready for our next day. The rental market is so tight and so expensive due to the shortage sonthere is very little opportunity on a single income to meet high demands of real estate agents or owners, I'd feel alot more at ease that my rental payments were going to a well established home owner or renter that is happy to accept us into their home. We are available to move immediately and if rooms are already furnished that is fine as I am happy to donate what I need to charity or a family in need we just need some security and serenity in our lives. I grew up on acreage with many different animals, so I have no problem living with animals and roommates partners but I am not bringing any with me. When I do choose to take a day off I either go to the beach or up the mountain to a good lookout. More than happy for future housemates to join me on my escapades. I clean up after myself as I go and prefer living in a clean environment. I am not the type of person that will lock myself away in my room.
