I've been renting in Albert Park for the last 3 years and now I am looking for a change of scenery while I go through Airline interviews in coming months. Im originally from the Sunshine Coast but have been all over the country with my flying the last 7 years. I love a surf, kitesurf, round of golf or a mountian bike. Im fairly social and head out for dinner or drinks with mates from time to time and I squeeze the gym in when I can before work. Whilst I maintain my professionalism for work and am very dedicated to my career, I'm actually pretty easy going and casual. I keep organised and tidy and have had plenty of experience living in respectful share houses both in Australia and overseas and I think people would say I'm outgoing and easy to get along with. I'm looking for something tidy, comfortable and with some housemates happy to hang out from time to time but also respect independence and privacy where appropriate. I’m a veterinarian, but I can’t practice the profession here in Australia yet, so I’m working as a full-time vet nurse. I have a roster schedule and do at least 3 shifts of 12 hours per week. Many of them are night shifts. I’m an extremely respectful person, I like to keep the house clean, and I love to cook. I’m a social introvert; I enjoy being alone, listening to music, reading, or watching movies, but I also love deep philosophical conversations over a glass of wine. I would love to find someone compatible with these traits. I’m a foodie, and I’d say one of my favorite things is trying new restaurants and foods. I like to stay active and go to the gym. I’m absolutely crazy about cats, so if you have one, that’s no problem at all. For now, I’m not thinking of adopting any pets. I’m looking for someone who doesn’t mind that I need some quiet on two days a week to get my sleep. I’m not looking for a party house or someone who always wants to have the house full of people. Home is my refuge, where I need to recharge my social battery. I have a preference for having my own bathroom, and if there’s a garden, that would be perfect. But if it has to be an apartment, that’s fine too. My preferred residential areas are: Malvern, Carnegie, Hughesdale, Murrumbeena, Caulfield, Ashburton, Glen Iris, Oakleigh, St Kilda, Bentleigh. In terms of budget, ideally, I’d like to spend up to 600 dollars per fortnight, but I can stretch it a bit more if needed. I'm putting together a teamup to find a vacant sharehouse in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne (see suburbs below for an idea of the area that I'm looking in at the moment). I just vacated my long-term sharehouse in Chadstone recently and have a long list of shared items/furniture (including furnishings for at least one other room) that I can contribute. I've been living in sharehousing since February 2021 (initially in Brisbane and for the last three years in Chadstone) and am a clean, reliable and organised housemate who always pays on time (in fact, I've most often been the main contact/person in charge of rent/bills and making sure everyone else pays on time, haha). So yeah, would say I'm pretty well-versed. Overall, I'm a pretty sensible, friendly and easy-going guy (you might hear me play music/an instrument from time to time, but I try to keep it down), so pretty easy to live with. I'm a muso (bass, piano and dabble in guitar and drums) and play in my own band, and I'm a music, film and TV lover (big into Star Wars and Marvel in particular); also love the footy and tennis. Otherwise, keen to find some cool people to team up with (ideally around similar age) and form a group that gets on well and has a good balance between being social/occasionally doing stuff together but also being respectful of space, down time, etc. My current sharehouse has always been mixed-gender, and it's worked pretty well for us, so happy to do this again.
