Hey everybody,
My name is Alistair. I'm originally a country bumpkin from the South of Island of NZ but been in Brisbane for a good while now.
I'm currently employed in disability support and gardening/landscaping, keeping daytime hours.
I like going to gigs occasionally and play a bit of acoustic guitar. Like classic rock, metal, a bit of folk and shoegaze as well. fav bands of all time: black sabbath, Soundgarden, smashing pumpkins, kyuss. I try to be considerate with it though and make sure only I can hear it.
I like reading (classic novels and fantasy (Tolkien, George RR Martin etc) and am a bit of a history buff. Also do a bit of yoga and like spending time hiking in the beautiful outdoors when possible. Enjoy going to cricket or rugby games occasionally and catching up with friends.
I'm generally pretty mild mannered. I like chatting and getting along with people, but wouldn't say I'm loud and I don't force conversation on anybody if they're not into it.
If your place is a bit out of my target areas don't worry too much. Just somewhere roughly on the south side is ok. A little bit flexible on length of stay, would prefer long term but I'd consider a stay of 4 or 5 months. Air con would be preferable but not absolutely essential. I don't have a dog myself but I love animals and like helping friends with their dogs.
