Hi future housemate/housemates, My name is Carolina and I am originally from Darwin N.T but have lived all over Australia and the world. For the last two years I have been living and working in Canada as a onboard host/tour guide and absolutely loved it! But Australia will always be home and I missed the warm weather so I have given up my life in Canada and I have moved back. I am hoping to make Cairns my new home as I would love to work on the GBR. I have been to Cairns so many times and absolutely love it , the nature and laid back lifestyle suit what I am looking for and I also have family there so it seems like the best place to end up. I am currently in Darwin renovating my mums house to put it on the market to sell. Once it's up I will be looking to come down. I dont have a job offer yet but I am able to offer multiple months rent in advance to secure a home while I interview for jobs. Ideally I would like to move into an established home and a room that is furnished as I just sold everything back in Canada and have only a few bags of things. I wont have a car to start, so ideally a home not to far out from the main hub would be best and I will be buying a scooter so I will need a place to park it. I have a very adventurous spirit and love travel, I have solo travelled 27 countries, enjoy photography, creating art, hiking and of course the ocean. This year I want to pursue free diving, get my scuba certification, get into reef conservation and explore the surrounding islands. I have lived in and out of share places for most of my adult life so I understand all the things that go along with sharing a home. I am sociable, outgoing, friendly and love sharing stories about life and travel. As a housemate I am very clean, tidy, thoughtful and respectful. Ideally I want to live in a space that also feels like my home, where I am living with friends rather then just with housemates.
