    $400/week42 year old man

My name is Ryan, I work full time as a Chef and I'm looking for a spacious, private room to rent, unfurnished , with my own bathroom, in a house with some chilled, like minded people. I'd like a long term stay, for six months minimum, but preferably one year or more. I'm 42 but quite energetic and upbeat (and don't really have any grey hair) so often I'm mistaken for a lot younger. I love my mates, cooking, music and technology. And I hate to say it but I love work! I am available to start moving in around late May. I work full time at an upmarket Pub in Murdoch, and while it's not crucial that I live super close to there, I would prefer something that is within half an hour of Murdoch. My budget I would prefer to keep within the $350 - $400 p/w (including bills) range, but I can stretch to about $450 p/w (including bills) for the right place. If it would be helpful I would even be willing to pay a certain agreed upon period of rent up front to show that I'm both serious and reliable. Because I'm a chef I often finish work after 9pm, so there will be times when I come home quite late (after 10PM), so it's for this reason that I would prefer to secure something that is quite private, possibly with its own entrance, or at another end of the house, so that I will not disrupt anyone when I come home from work. An ensuite or my own bathroom would also be great. I also have a car so off street parking would also be a bonus, and a garage space would be amazing. I often go out and socialise, but when I am at home I love it when I live with people that I vibe with and don't mind a cheeky drink and a chat - but I also love to be in my own presence and chill in my "sanctuary", which ideally has room for a TV unit, and possibly a couch. As a hobby and side hustle, I do computer repairs and refurbish and re-sell second hand desktop and laptop computers, so it would be great if my room has enough space to possibly fit a couple of desks, one for my work PC and one as a "workbench", where I can build and repair things. What would be even better would be if there was an additional space available for me, included in my rent, to set this up. Fast and reliable internet in the house is a must for me. I have requirements yes, but I've got good vibes, I am quiet, tidy and respectful of others' schedules, space and belongings, and I have successfully shared with many people over the years. I do occasionaly smoke, outside, but you wouldn't even know. Also love animals!

Hello! I’m Bing ☺️ Most of my days are spent working full-time for an economics and public policy firm from a co-working space in the CBD or from home (as the role is fully remote). When not at my day job, I also enjoy working seasonal hospo shifts (events, festivals, bars, theatre, concerts, etc). I do my best to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, and enjoy many hobbies including sports (pole dancing, rock-climbing, acro, yoga, volleyball, netball, gymnastics, badminton, swimming, running, cycling, touch footy, you name it), strategy boardgames, socialising with friends, gardening, volunteering, being creative (photography, music), reading, travelling/ exploring, going to see live shows (Fringe, concerts, theatre and musicals, comedy, talks, etc.), attending workshops and learning new things. I’m not a fan of big crowds, noisy places, back-biting, violence, poor hygiene, fast fashion and strong scents or smells. My first preferred location would be South Perth, followed by Subiaco, ideally within walking distance from a supermarket and running track (lake/river), but open any other surrounding suburbs. I have a small city car and would require an off-street parking spot. Living in a clean and tidy home is important to me, as well as clear, open communication and living with people who are open-minded, non-judgemental, respectful and considerate. I plan to cook most of my meals at home with fresh and local produce throughout the week but will make sure to leave the kitchen as spotless as or cleaner than I found it. My latest obsession is gardening / food growing / permaculture so would love a place where I can bring my planters + pots and grow some fruit / veg. I would love to have a share-home dynamic with a balance of social chats and interesting conversations (and feel like friends) but also enjoy our quiet alone time and personal space. I like to have friends over for lowkey boardgame nights, and host home-cooked dinner parties. I don’t drink alcohol (or caffeinated drinks, but nothing against either of them - my body just rejects it), and would need to live with non-smokers/vapers. Keen for a periodic lease or to go on a fixed term of 3 months to start and if it’s the right fit then extend longer term. Feel free to message if you think we’d be compatible housemates! I’d be down to meet for a catch up first and suss the vibes :)
