$400/week•46 year old woman
Hi! I'm Pauline, a 46 year old, single female. Currently, I'm receiving the Disabilty Support Pension (DSP) due to having osteoarthritis in my hips, although, I am still financially stable and independent.
I am looking for somewhere longterm to call home, in close proximity to Lilydale Mooroolbark, Kilsyth, Mt Evelyn, and Montrose areas, preferably with level access or very minimal stairs, my own bathroom/ensuite, and the option of being able to extend my stay after 12 months.
Ideally, I'm looking for my own unit, studio, or granny flat. I would definitely consider teaming up with someone (female) in a two bedroom rental property.
I have previously worked in the nursing field which began with psych geriatrics, then in aged care for over 10 years, which I really really loved, I have a passion for caring for others, unfortunately, due to my osteoarthritis and other health issues I was unable to continue in aged care.
I still maintain my life around caring for others, my week consists of studying 2-3 days a week, some at home, mostly away from home, volunteering and supporting others through a not-for-profit organization I attend weekly which focuses on numerous aspects of mental health, alcohol and drug addiction, recovery, growth, faith, and other personal life struggles/issues.
I go to church every Sunday which I'm very dedicated and devoted to, and I am persuing more knowledge and wisdom through the guidance of various courses. I am also doing some research into ADHD and ASD Autism spectrum (neurodivergent), which is another area I'm deeply passionate about, and some more volunteering would be wonderful to do once I have found permanent accommodation for myself.
I enjoy reading, walking, nature, making flower arrangements, listening to music, hydrotherapy, and exercises that are beneficial for me, I always make time for visiting and spending time with my few close friends, which is usually away from home. I also have a 22 year old daughter who I cherrish spending time with whenever her busy schedule allows (which isn't often)!
I'm a very neat and tidy person, I like to keep my surroundings clutter free and I always clean up after myself, I've been told I have OCD and that I'm a bit of a clean freak, I actually find cleaning somewhat therapeutic at times.
I'm a very kind and caring person who is considerate and thoughtful toward other's and their routines, I value respect, trust and honesty, I'm easy to get along with, I'm polite and don't mind a chat, I also like to have my own space and privacy too.
I'm not a party person, I don't drink or smoke.
I don't have any pets but I do love animals.
I have my own bedroom furniture amongst other items, I can be flexible with what is suitable.
I have my own car, but do use public transport occasionally.
