I'm moving to Canberra for work and I'm looking for queer-friendly, clean housemates who have a good balance of hanging out and respecting privacy. I love gardening and cooking and and lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. I'll be working 9-5 in the city and would love to live somewhere that's close enough to ride/walk or thats close to public transport. I'm pretty green, love a good wine, love music and of course like every mid-late twenties woman I love Ru Paul's Drag Race (and for the record was always #teamkatya).
I've been living in sharehouses for 3 years so I'm tidy and clean and respectful of others. I'm quite friendly and sociable and love the idea of making new friends but am also happy to occupy myself and have downtime because we all need to recharge. I work as an Executive Assistant in the public service, and am keen to socialise on weekends, but stay pretty quiet during the working week. I'm into sewing and crafts, always love a good movie night or a Sunday afternoon BBQ with friends. Looking for other young people who want to live life to the fullest and have a bit of fun.
Spacious room with shared bathroom. Open kitchen space and huge living area. Reverse cycling AC in the living room. On Northbourne Av, next to the lightrail, 500m to Dickson Shops, it is the most convenient place to live for students and professionals. The apartment complex has swimming pool, gym and barbeque areas. Please note: The bond is actually $960. There was no option of putting in the exact value through the listing.
Looking for a place for me and my beautiful dog Bonnie. I work full time in the public service and would prefer roommates at similar stages in life. I'm pretty relaxed, don't go out much but love a night in with wine and cider. Prefer brunch and drinks over big parties. I do like things pretty clean (especially the kitchen) but not a neat freak. Bonnie does shed a bucket load of hair so I try and vacuum once a week to keep on top of it. She is a really sweet dog though, very kind, smart and funny. If you have any questions, just ask.
I’m a 28 year old full time executive government employee with two non-shedding, housetrained Labradoodles, Billie and Bronson. Photos are available on IG for those interested [maverick.j.roberts (without the full stops)]. - I have a fridge, couch, television, washing machine, dining table etc. Ready to roll. - I’m an introverted extrovert so I am more than happy to do my own thing, but also enjoy hanging out and watching movies or having a barbecue and a beer or two. - I’m very neat and tidy and like to live in a clean space. - I’m fairly active. I train 5-6 mornings a week and walk the dogs twice a day. Between that and weekend activities I’m not home an awful lot. - Hobbies include reading, gaming and spending time with my close friends and family (dogs included).
I'm a Masters student and tutor at the ANU who likes reading, running and European politics. As a roommate, I am very neat and considerate of space but also enjoy a chat. I'm looking for a permanent place while I complete my Masters and potentially, PhD.
Second-floor apartment in a peaceful leafy neighborhood. Mostly furnished and gets plenty of natural light. Less than a 5 minute walk to the shops and a couple of nice cafes. ANU is a 10min cycle along the bike path. Car space, internet and Netflix available. Room with the TV is the one for rent. Furnishings are flexible. Flexible with the start date. More concerned with finding a suitable housemate than finding someone quickly.
I am stereotypical Canberran who is addicted to coffee, yoga and works in the public service. I volunteer at the RSPCA walking the dogs so i always have cute videos and photos to share. I'm keen to move into a social house, by that I don't mean a party house (i have had that experience before and I'm not keen to do it anymore haha) I just like sharehouses that are like a home instead of feeling like you are just renting the room. My friend's and I take it in turns to have Sunday night dinners and play board games. I also enjoy a beer in the sun but much more likely to have afternoon beers than party until the sun comes up. Feel free to contact me with any other questions :)
I’m a young adult who is working full time in administrative work. I prefer to have my own space but can socialise occasionally. I am looking for a place to live, ideally with only a couple flat mates (but am flexible with this) that are clean, and respectful.
Hi, my name is Joe. I'm a first year post grad medical student at ANU. I moved into Canberra at the start of the year and due to a change in circumstance I'm looking for long term accomodation. I'm keen to move in with my friend Tom. He is a public servant working for the department of Finance. We are both mid 20's, easy going guys who really just enjoy relaxing at home, unwinding over a beer. We're both keen Soccer players, and often spend our Saturday nights watching the premier league. I'm a keen cook and love cooking for housemates, so definitely keen for family Dinners. Anyway, we're both looking to move in sometime next week if that's ok. Please let me know if you want to know any more about me or Tom.
Hey, I'm Rebecca, 21 years of age, I work full time in a hotel. I also study Law and Politics. I'm organised and love a tidy neat area. I'm very sociable and live an active and busy lifestyle. Please feel free to message me, if you have any further questions,
I work full time for the government and I'm also finishing up my PhD (somehow). I'm a keen cook and love making fresh pasta. I like going to the driving range to relax, and I'm trying to learn how to boulder. Easy going and neat, I have a lot of experience in share-houses. Always happy for a chat, shared dinner or watching a movie, but also happy to do my own thing. Looking for a relaxed and friendly home with neat housemates. Pets are always a plus!
I moved to Canberra a little over 3 years ago for work where I got a job as a public servent who works full time (mon-fri). I like to keep to myself but also enjoy hanging out with people with a drink or two. I also enjoy cooking, baking especially. When im home I will either be sewing, drawing or listening to music. Thanks for reading.
Hi everyone! I'm a 26 year old lawyer moving down from Sydney. I'm hoping to find a comfortable and social house to call home. When I'm not working, I like to spend time outdoors, exercising and catching up with mates. It would be great to have social housemates that enjoy meals, chats about current affairs and perhaps the odd pub trivia night? I'm environmentally conscious and would love housemates that are like minded about recycling and energy consumption. I love dogs, probably too much for my own good and am open to living with one (or five). I'm sadly allergic to cats, so unfortunately it'll be a no go with any fuzzy felines.
The room is $160/wk (not including utilities). Unlimited NBN is $12/month. The bed and mattress pictured can be yours if you want it! We are looking for someone to move in ASAP :) Our house has a great kitchen that’s fully decked out. We have a decent yard with space to park bikes. Importantly, our shower has excellent pressure!!! We have a big TV and speakers. Air con and heating is available in the shared areas of the house. Our listing is on the "Canberra Share Housing & Rooms for Rent" Facebook page if you want to get in contact ASAP via messenger.
Full time biology PhD student at ANU. I like watching/playing sports. I scuba dive and enjoy hiking too. I've lived with multiple roommates for the last 2 year in the US and they can vouch that I'm the cleaner. I will start my PhD research in June 2019. Looking for a place under ~$200p.w and clean roommates. I'm from Thailand and will be happy to share with you Thai cuisine and stories about my travels.
Heya :) I’m a 24 year old recently moved from Sydney and looking at moving somewhere north! I work at QT hotel full time and I’m thinking of picking up a hobby like dancing for my spare time! I love hanging with friends and watching a good romcom in my spare time and reading a good book. I’m super chatty and friendly person that also respects your privacy. I’m very clean, organised and respectful. I’m looking for a share house but if you offer a granny flat or unit please hit me up too! If you own a pet too that’s a super bonus! :P Thanks
Hi, my name is Renee, originally from Malaysia. I am looking for a relaxing home to live. I am easy going, reliable, friendly and tidy person. Please contact me if you are looking for a simple and respectful housemate. Thank you.
I like to cook and to keep things nice. I sew & do some charity work. I come with a 16 year old, year 12 student daughter. Picture a quiet version of 'Gilmore Girls'. I'm a writer. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy fan, & read books as well as watch shows & chatter online with my worldwide group of "imaginary friends".
I’m a very considerate, good-humoured public servant. Into music, film and the arts, but no party animal by any stretch, so also appreciate quiet. Do most of my socialising out and about and fairly low key. Work with intense content during the day, so somewhere with anyone who is also fun but respectful of a quiet living environment is great. Happy to consider sharing with anyone who fits that description!
