Hi Friend! I'm Alli and I'm moving to Canberra in mid-January 2018. I'm looking for an all-female sharehouse within reasonable distance to ANU. I love coffee, cooking, Netflix, and hanging out with friends. I love a good chat. I keep common areas tidy and pitch-in with house cleaning. I'm a Christian and enjoy living with other friendly, considerate women. If we have similar faith, that's a bonus! I'm happy to live with internationals too. I'll be studying at ANU and travelling for my study some of the time. (I'll be away for 1-4 week blocks, a total of around 15 weeks.) Ideally I'd like to pay less that $180 for rent and utilities, but for the right house and housemates I'd consider paying more. I'm moving from Brisbane so I expect I'll be cold in Spring and freezing in Winter! I'd love central heating. I'll be bringing with me my car and a boot-load of my possessions. :) Hope to hear from you!
Great brick house that's fully furnished (minus your room). Relatively new kitchen and bathrooms, and all the white goods you need (including two fridges!). You'd only be sharing the bathroom with one other person. Carpeted floors with ducted heating make it toasty in Winter! Lots of backyard space with garden beds, BBQ and hills hoist. Great for a cheeky party or two. All bills are split equally, with internet coming monthly and water, gas and electricity every 3 months. The internet is fantastic, with a 45Mbps download speed. Its only a 5 minute walk to the Lyneham shops, or 15 minutes to stroll over to the Dickson shops. Only 10 minutes to ride a bike to the ANU/City as well!
Large masterbedroom with airconditioning Spacious waldrobe (3 sliding doors) Balcony with greenhouse full of herbs Fully furnished lounge and dining room Car spot and storage space in basement 12 minutes ride to city 10 minutes ride to ANU
I am a 25 year old public servant and I am currently looking for somewhere central, inner north / south, Inner Belconnen reigon or central Gungahlin. I am a fun, friendly and easy going person. I’m generally pretty busy during the week with work and on weekends I tend to spend time with family and friends but I do enjoy hanging out at home just to relax and do nothing. I’m not a massive party person but I enjoy being social! So I’m always keen for a chat and to hangout :) I love to cook and watch Netflix, that’s basically me in a bubble. Food + Netflix. Looking for some like minded people to live with! Happy to go anywhere between 6 - 12 months (even longer if possible) I also come with a queen sized bed that I’m not willing too part with (it’s too amazing haha) so the room would need to be able to fit that and storage for my clothing or come with built in robes. Also, I am unfortunately super allergic to cats so I wouldn’t be able to live with them. *sad face* but dogs are completely fine or any other pets :) I do have a boyfriend (who is currently on a volleyball contract in Germany but will be back april) and he normally stays over a few nights a week, if you aren’t okay with this then I’m probably not the right fit for you sorry! I was originally looking to move ASAP but now I’m hoping to move out end of Jan / Feb 2018. If you think I suit what you are looking for fee free to shoot me a message!
I am a master's student at the Australian National University, about to commence my study in January 2018. Born and raised in Indonesia, I consider myself friendly, organized, tidy and clean person. I enjoy nature, sports (especially basketball) and books for my free time. Love to chit-chat with my housemates and hang out especially on weekends.
This is a large, bright apartment on a leafy street in the inner city suburb of Lyneham. You will be sharing with two lovely housemates in their early 20s, one male and one female. They are friendly, tidy and respectful. Dickson shops are a fifteen minute walk away and civic is only a 30 minute walk or five minutes by car. There is also good access to bus routes and bike paths. Perfect for a student or a young professional.
*NO LONGER LOOKING FOR A PLACE * Hey, my name's Daniel! I'm a psychology graduate working full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon for the last 1.5 years, with great housemates. Our lease expires on December 4th though, so I'm looking for a new place to move to around then. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: My current lease expires on December 15th 2017, so I would be looking to move between December 1-13th 2017. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate :) WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I completely understand if you want your space. If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.
Hi! I am Shubham, 23 years old and study master of earth sciences at ANU. Like my degree, I enjoy natural settings more than city places. I am into hiking, cycling and running. I read a lot, listen to classic rock (60's, 70's) and love to indulge in intellectual conversations. I work part-time and also my degree is research-based, so I leave in the morning and come back in evening. I am also a beer fanatic (not a drunkard though, lol). As for my habits, I like to keep my surroundings clean and lead a healthy life. I understand that each individual is different and therefore, I don't keep any kind of prejudices.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. this is non negotiable too. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors (highly preferable, but could be overlooked if everything else was perfect) - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live with infants, young children, or a family/home stay style arrangement. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin, Dunlop, Harrison, or Crace - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hi all, I'm making the move from Melbourne back to my hometown of Canberra for uni and am looking for some awesome humans to share with. I'm super responsible having lived on my own and shared before, but also down for a boogie and a night out once in a while. I'm into staying fit, going to gigs and playing sports whenever I get the chance. I'd like to find a place where I can chill but still be social and hang out with my roommates to fill my daily human interaction quota. I'm a full time student and will be working part time also so I keep myself fairly busy. I also come with bedroom furniture and some communal furniture so hopefully this is a plus! If this sounds ace hit me up :)
I'm 40 and just returned to Canberra after three years living in Sydney. Originally from NZ, but lived in Canberra from 2011-2014. I work in media and communications. I like to go for walks (including some pretty lengthy ones), head to pub trivia and play golf. I think I'm a very considerate person to live with and am happy to have a chat or keep to myself depending on my housemate's preference and/or state of mind on a given day. FYI, I found a housemate online when I moved to Canberra back in 2011 and we remain very close friends today. Hoping to find an equally awesome housemate this time around. Let me know if you're keen to catch up for a coffee -- or something stronger. Gavin
I am organised and from time to time I like to keep my personal space neat and tidy. I am not a party goer and enjoy chilling at home during weekend watching tv shows with wine. I also love running and coffee.
We are a young couple, one of us is a student/part time worker and the other is in the APS. We are looking to move out of our parents' houses. We tend to keep to ourselves as we work, both day and night shifts however we are social on the rare occasion our schedules line up. We would prefer somewhere with our own kitchen/kitchenette as we are vegan and nut free. We both work and go to school in the city so, we are looking for something around that area (basically not Tuggeranong or Belconnen). Thanks for reading!
Hi, I am based in Sydney right now. I got job in one of the Govt org. I am moving to Canberra in end of November and looking for shared accommodation. I am male, 28, Software Engineer. I like to make friends, watch movies, play badminton, non-smoker, no pets. Thanks, Abhi
Hey! Mid-20's female looking for a place in the inner north or south. Easy going, neat, friendly and clean. Love playing sports and always looking for my next micro- adventures. You can usually find me out and about on the weekends and playing in a social comp during the week.
Just relocated from Melbourne to Canberra for a job. Looking for a place to stay. I am bit of a workaholic, always clean up after myself and pay rent on time. After work during the week I am usually at home watching Netflix or gaming, on weekends I am out and about with the girlfriend. I also own a motorbike, so often go for a ride. Secure parking is definitely a bonus!
Hello, I have to move to Canberra for a new job in the aps. I mostly keep to myself, clean up after myself, and am respectful of others lifestyles and their privacy. I would love it if the place was pet friendly as I want to get a puppy, but if I cant find a place that will accept pets I won't, as my #1 priority is to find myself a place. I also love nature and enjoy a drink every now and then. Thanks!
I'm 23 years old and am about to finish studying my bachelor of social work and social planning. I'm moving to Canberra for a minimum of 6 months and will be looking at working in hospitality while I'm there so want something close to the civic as I don't currently drive. I'm generally quite neat and tidy, have a bubbly personality, live a (mostly) vegan lifestyle and am an avid beer enthusiast. I'd prefer to live with like-minded individuals (students, young professionals or hospo etc.) and am looking at a rough budget of $150-$175 (preferably furnished) a week.
CIT environment graduate looking for long-term accommodation. I like to keep my place clean and tidy, and I get along with just about anyone. I enjoy art, photography, gaming and the outdoors.
Ayden & I are both active individuals who enjoy our down time when at home. When we're not training or traveling for competition (we're cyclists) we're usually watching netflix or down the road at a cafe. Other than cycling, I have just recently completed my undergraduate architecture degree in Sydney and plan on starting my masters degree in March at the University of Canberra. I love to cook & bake and appreciate a clean living environment. Ayden is super easy going & can get along with just about anyone (and he knows how to make a good cup of tea)! In between training he works with a catering company. We're looking for a new place as my lease in Sydney ends in November & Ayden's current Canberran flatmates are moving on in February. Ideally looking for a master bedroom with ensuite & also the capacity to store a few bikes. Minimum stay 6 months.
Hi! I am easy going, enjoy meeting new people and have a lovely 2 year old Beagle X staffy who loves attention and cuddles. I am active and work full time as a vet nurse. I am moving to Canberra for a new job opportunity and need a suitable place for my dog and I to live.
