My profession is early childhood educator and I am very caring and kind. I have a regular income from my self funded pension but will get work for two or three days.

Hello! My name is Lachy and I’m a 19 year old born and bred Canberran who is looking for a room in an amazing share house for the next 6 months before I depart Canberra for university studies in another city next year! Right now while living in Canberra, I’m working for Apple as a full time specialist.
I am easy going and tidy especially in common areas and respectful of others space and belongings. I love cooking and enjoy a shared meal, glass of wine or cup of tea but also happy to keep to myself. I enjoy music in all its forms - live and on the turntable are my favourites though. I enjoy politics, current affairs and just generally chatting. I am active, love the outdoors and am eco-friendly. I have two pets - a small dog who is 11 and an inside cat who is 8. They also come with an industrial strength Dyson! Both are house-trained, loveable and very social. PSA: I love trash TV but wont subject unwilling victims.
I'm an American, living in Canberra and working at the ANU, in the departments of Psychology and Linguistics. I'm in Canberra 'till 2021. I've been living in Bruce, but my flatmate (the lease holder), but a house so I'm moving out in June. I figured this would be a good opportunity to the inner north. I'm fairly busy--I work a full time job and typically have dance classes (salsa and bachata) about three nights a week, so I'm often not home weekday evenings. When I am home, I'm respectful and friendly--happy to have a chat and a glass of wine but equally happy to do my own thing in my room.
I'm employed full-time. I'm relaxed and easy going with a good sense of humour. I'm happy to socialise but also pretty good at knowing when to give people some quiet and space. I'm neat and always happy to help out with household chores/maintenance.
We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant and Clark Kent look-alike; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
My name is Emilia, I've been in Canberra for almost a year now and work full time at a university. I'm looking to find a nice and friendly sharehouse that I can call my home for a little while :) I've sharehoused previously. I'm neat and tidy, I like to catch up and have a chat with housemates at the end of the day but also keep pretty busy trying to get out for a walk or some yoga after work, and respect the need for down time.
Hi! I'm a 24 year old professional who is about to endure their second winter in Canberra after moving down from Queensland. I enjoy spending most of my spare time in the outdoors rock climbing, hiking, camping and mountain biking. I'm social yet also enjoy some me time, would enjoy long walks along the beach if Canberra had any, and am looking for housemates who have at least basic survival skills (keep tidy etc). Get in touch if you have a room and think I'd be a good housemate!
I am looking for a place closer to work (ABS, Belconnen). I am a pretty relaxed house mate who enjoys board games and good food (did someone say cheese...) I am looking for self sufficient friendly housemates who might like to share an occasional dinner/ drink/ movie. I would be looking to move around mid June. If this sounds like it would suit let me know. Cheers, Jethro
All about the good vibes! I work part time, study full time and outside of that I'm usually kicking it with friends or catching up on uni work. I'm very easy going but also considerate of others and into keeping tidy. Mostly do my own thing but I'm always up for a laff! If you reckon I sound like your kinda housemate then hit me up :) xx
Looking to join an existing share place - or start a new one! About me : Fully employed, financially independent. Well travelled & a bunch of life experience. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. Creative and inquisitive soul... If i'm not at home pondering the origins of the universe, i'm travelling, at work, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, or wherever the day takes me. Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Iideally : i'd be sharing with some awesome, creative type people, who enjoy a meal / get together, but who also respect each others space. The usual really. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
Hey, I have been living in sharehouses for 4 years so I know the drill. I am tidy, and mostly keep to myself but am always up for a chat/drink. My sister Sarah has been living out of home for about a year and is extremely mature and sensible for her age (17). She's a cool kid who also mostly keeps to herself, does art and is enrolled in a beautician school. we look forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I'm Toni! I am moving back to Canberra within the next week and am looking for a place to stay. I am flexible with short-term or long-term stays, preferably a furnished room. I am currently working in hospitality and very laid back. When I am not at work, chances are you'll find me watching/playing sport, hanging out with some friends, going for bush walks or going for a swim. I am tidy, know how to pull my weight in the house, am sociable but respect the privacy of others.
Am a full-time uni student studying physio, work a couple of casual jobs and am keen on travel, running, reading and art in my spare time. Love a good laugh and banter but don't mind time on my own. I keep things clean, don't mind cooking for myself (and others) and am happy to meet and chill with people from all walks of life.

Large bedroom available in our two-bedroom townhouse in Lyneham. A few minutes walk away from Dickson and Lyneham shops and right on the bike path to ANU/Civic. One street back from Northbourne, so super convenient for public transport but without the noise! There is one shared bathroom upstairs and a seperate toilet downstairs, along with a laundry. The townhouse is fully furnished, so great for someone new to Canberra with no furniture of their own. The bedroom comes with a queen bed, a book case, a desk, and built in wardrobes, and is fitted with electric wall heaters for winter and ceiling fans for summer. The complex is lovely and leafy and the townhouse has small courtyards at the front and back which are lovely to sit in (when it's warm enough!). The ground floor of the townhouse stays wonderfully cool in summer, while a gas space heater keeps it warm through winter. Rent is $166 with internet and utilities not included. Internet split evenly monthly (unlimited NBN, $70/month) and utilities quarterly. There is off-street parking available within the complex. The landlord is willing to consider pets - but they must be okay with being outside when no one is home and are not allowed on the furniture (apart from your bed!).
I'm relaxed, easy going and get along with almost everyone. I'm employed full time and run my own business. I keep to myself for the most part but am always happy to chat and laugh - most of what I say is a joke. When I am not working I'm usually out with friends and keeping fit. I keep things clean and tidy and always clean up after myself. I've lived in a few places, in small groups with different gender splits and have always happily adjusted. Feel free to get into contact!
Hey there! I'm a 23y.o. male, recently graduated from uni in Melbourne. As I've picked up a grad position with the APS and am not that familiar with Canberra as of yet, I'm looking to score a sharehouse with some cool roomies to share with while I get my feet wet getting to know the area. As a housemate, I'm a naturally quiet person; but I'm always up a social dinner and drinks with others when the opportunity's there and don't mind a lot of noise. As well, I consider myself neat and clean, and won't shy away from doing my share of the chores to keep the house clean (as well as my own room). Outside of work (or uni over the last 5 years), I enjoy working out and keeping fit - whether it's at the gym or through a game of basketball; as well, lately I've been bingeing on some Netflix, with episodes of Brooklyn 99 on the menu until I finish up all those seasons and start The Office. During the weekends, I'm looking to join some Meetups, as I've done in Melbourne, to meet new people and do different things - e.g. bootcamps, runs, board game nights, rock climbing, etc. That being said, I also enjoy time being on my own, reading a book or long walks with my headphones in. In addition to my job with the APS, I also have part-time work that'll be moving with me - so I'll definitely be able to pay rent on time and meet financial expectations. And I guess as a final sell for why I'd be a great roomie is that I'm always respecting the boundaries and space of others and always open to communication. For conflicts when I'm involved, I'm always open to sit down, chat it out and work a solution - in my past experience living in hostels and sharehouses here and overseas, this always worked out for everyone in the house/building. Hope to meet you soon!
My name is Belinda and I'm an ecology PhD student at ANU! I am a bubbly, active person who loves adventuring and playing my ridiculous sport - ultimate frisbee. I lived in Sydney and Wollongong during my undergraduate degree and early career as an ecologist, and moved to Canberra about 2 years ago. As a housemate I am a very tidy person who is happy to hang as well as give people their space to veg out. My current rental agreement is coming to an end, so I'm really hoping to move soon. Give me a buzz if there's anything you want to know!
