I'm an English PHD student at ANU, and I love reading and movies as much or more than the next person. I just love stories, honestly. I'm outgoing and easy to get along with, and I hope to find a place with similarly easygoing housemates, so we can hang out sometimes, and have friends over or live quietly at others. I really like how pretty Canberra is, it makes walks an even better past time! I am looking for a share house with people who are laid back, like conversation, but don't need it all the time.
Recently moved from interstate for work, looking for a modern place with own bathroom and provision for car. Happy for an independent house lifestyle or those who want a bit more social interaction between housemates also.
Seeking a housemate to live with in a lovely 3 bedroom home located on a quiet street in North Lyneham. The home is modern and fully-furnished, but the bedroom comes vacant for you to add your own furniture. Kitchen appliances, dishwasher, dining wares, dining table/chairs, sofas, TV, washing machine, BBQ etc. will be available for you to use. The home is very close to North Lyneham shops and bus stops which frequently service City, Dickson and Belconnen – buses 1, 30 and 31. The new ‘Next Gen’ health club is only a few mins walk down the road – offering brand new gym, pool, tennis & squash courts etc. The bedroom is quite large, measuring 3.7m x 3m so it will easily fit a queen bed with bedside tables. It has a built in robe with modern mirror doors, providing hanging space as well as compartment storage. The floor plan of the home is great as it has separate living areas and the room for rent is segregated from the main bedroom offering you privacy. The third bedroom in the home is not and will not be rented, so you’ll have your own bathroom and separate toilet and that end of the house to yourself, apart from the laundry which is shared. You’ll also get a space to park your car in the secure lock-up garage! The backyard is nice for summer BBQ’s, with no maintenance required – and it also has a veggie patch if you’d like to use it. Rent is $260 per week, and includes electricity, gas, water and internet. Bond will be equivalent to 2 weeks rent and rent payment is fortnightly, payable in advance. However, this is negotiable depending on your circumstances i.e. 4 weeks bond, pay rent monthly. This will be perfect for someone who is working in Canberra from interstate or a young professional who enjoys socialising but is past the binge drinking years. Long-term stay preferred. No couples please. Available to view from 3rd/4th June.
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Hey Hey I'm a pretty layed back kind of chick that works full time as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic. I'm clean and tidy. I'm in to music and love sharing new finds. I have quite the skateboard collection, i love skating and snowboarding. I'm pretty outdoorsy. I'm always up for a chat over a drink. I'm very easy going and completely understand privacy. I moved to Canberra only a couple of months ago. I'm living with my brother in a big sharehouse. I'm looking to find something smaller and hopefully cleaner!
I'm moving back to Canberra for work after 9 months in Sydney. I'll be working in Deakin Mon-Fri. I can cook, I can clean and I like wine. I enjoy living in a busy house - I'm quite social. On weekends I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. Essential - walking distance to decent coffee :) Would prefer close to the city, don't mind North or South. I love animals so a pet would be amazing!
Hi guys! I'm Phoebe and I am on the search for somewhere new to live as I just got a new job with a children's charity and just moved down to the ACT. I am 25, pretty easygoing and have been living in share houses for the last 5 years so know the drill pretty well. I am clean, social but like my privacy sometimes and respect others and lead a (mostly) healthy life minus the few blocks of chocolate and glasses of wine I enjoy. I am pretty quite during the week with work etc but enjoy the weekends to go out on walks, socialise (brunch is by far the best meal of the day) and make the most of where I live and also to enjoy going out for a drink or two here or there. I am also new to Canberra so am looking for a place thats more a home and where I can make friends etc rather than just somewhere to sleep at. Also have a flexible move date!
My name is Rachel, and I'm looking for a private room in a house or flat in Canberra( will move to Canberra from Melbourne and study in ANU by the end of June). I'm quiet, clean, easygoing and have lots of hobbies such as photography, folk and post rock music. Also, I'll enjoy having dinner or chatting with roommates, like friends. I respect other people's privacy as well. Hope to find a place that close to ANU (0-5km) and nice roomies.
Hi my name is Ian and I'm currently employed at the Canberra hospital as a registered nurse working full time more than 40 hours a week. I own my own car and am able to pay rent on time. My previous landlords, house mates and friends consider me a reliable and respectful tenant. I have a 5 month old, well-behaved rag doll kitten that I keep clean. I am passionate about anime and learning, and consider myself a responsible and tidy tenant.

Most of my friends are in their early to late 30's - so looking for those kind of demographics. Have my own bedroom furniture (queen bed, bedside tables) + a studio desk i'll need space for (so, fairly large room). If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
I'm Sam, 25 years old, work in logistics at IKEA and currently commuting from Goulburn for work. Looking to find a place to stay closer to work and Canberra. I'm friendly, tidy and respectful.
I have recently returned to Canberra after living for the last eight years in New Caledonia and I am looking to re-establish myself back in Australia. I am a 46 years old dad of two and I have been the primary parent for most of their lives. My children are currently in New Caledonia with their mum until the end of the school year so I am own my own. I'm a friendly and easy going person who looks and feels a lot younger than my age suggests..most of the time :) I am a photographer and like sport, especially soccer and AFL but nearly any sport will do. I am looking to get back to the gym once I am settled. I am working full-time, Monday to Friday, for a government department in Civic.
I'm a full-time professional who moved from Queensland at the beginning of last year for work. Giving up sunny beaches was tough but I really enjoy my work (economics/consulting), and the seasons are nice in ACT. I am very tidy, easy to get along with, and respectful of other peoples space. Some weeks I work fairly long hours, but like to relax and socialise on the weekend. I also like to go out to latin dance classes and play social basketball some evenings. Keen to meet some future housemate(s) soon and have a chat!
I'm moving back to Canberra after a stint in Sydney and I'm looking for a fun and friendly house. I work full time and I'd love to live with a group of pretty social housemates who make the Canberra winter bearable! I make a great chicken and leak pie, love chocolate and am quite clean and tidy too.
I'm a quiet 20 year old who works at the airport, and am looking for a place to stay until I can fulfil my dream of joining the air force, which could take anywhere between 6 months and 2 years. I'm a cyclist and runner in my spare time. I own a car, which I do not use much and am willing to lend out, but will need a place to store it. Apart from that, I'm just looking for somewhere to sleep and store my meagre amount of stuff, as well as cook.
Im a 21 year old Uni student I am friendly, but also know when to respect privacy and enjoy time alone Dedicated to work, but know when to relax; I am very neat and tidy, pay bills on time, and generally can look after myself. I'm also told I make good pancakes in the morning. I don't smoke, party, or have pets 🙂
Hi. We are two full time PhD students at ANU researching in the areas of ecology (Kelly) and primatology (Sarah). We are currently living in a townhouse in Lyneham but would like to move into a bigger (and warmer) house when our lease is up in mid-July, so are looking for someone to team up with us. We'd like to get a relatively decent place - up to $600 a week (max) for the total rent in the northern suburbs of Canberra. One of us is a vego and one is a vegan, one likes to have a wine at home and be a bit social and the other doesn't drink much, both like to have a chat and we are both friendly and easy going. One of us likes the gym the other likes bush walking, bird watching and yoga. We are both clean and tidy and especially respectful of shared areas. Looking for a like minded easy going tidy person to join us when we move. I have all the shared household furniture and kitchen items except for a dining table/chairs and outdoor furniture.

Like cleaning and doing the bins or whatever is necesssary to make things work well. I am vibrant in energy and conversation and quiet and considerate of others. I love Smith's Alternative live music venue (Nigel has done wonders for the place) Into alternative health and wellbeing for myself and others through sales marketing of amazing whole plant based supplements. Very excited about helping others to transform their health via direct sales an wholesale oders. We are eagerly waiting for the Breast Cancer (mouse model) results toe published in a respected medical journal. Works on so many ailments (testimonials only) I am having great fun already sharing! Also judgement free of race, gender, disability or religion. Everyone is made equal in my eyes. Although some choose to take the rocky dangerous paths in life - it's a free choice of course. Also love a good conversation or a quick chat about a wide range of topics. Been living with younger to older male and female house sharers. Respect and empowerment of Women (Girls) of any age is dear to my heart. I have a daughter Klara ❤️ 27 who is completing Dip Ed and playing WA Stare Basketball for Joondalup Wolves. Just had an awesome game Saturday night (20/05) Also my son Thomas 29 ❤️ who is now Assistant Secretary to a Permant Head of a Major UK Government Department (2years) in London. He is with his girlfriend Jane ( a Lawyer) both doing so well. I joked when Thomas told me that they must have been on Ice or something to give to great young Aussie like you 😀👌 I do not do drugs and have 1 glass or 1 beer on occasionally. I require a base hear in Canberra with storage space. It is not worth going for a lease myself as I will not be home for a few days or so while doing sales runs to all corners of Canberra Sydney and regional centres. Originally from Melbourne been in beautiful Canberra 4.5 years - love it so clean and fresh compared to the big smoke (literally) - big Cities are so unhealthy. Love the cycle paths and the new Light Rail too. Can you assist me in my quest please. Need to vacate my current shared house by 30 June (earlier the better). Due to owner that lived with 3 others in his own house going overseas to live with his wife in Denver Colorado USA. Poor bloke he might be Trumped 😂 Already Doing orange powder sales trips already so will fit in to suit your availability to meet everyone in person. Best wishes David Wischer Downer
