I am an experienced share Houser - got the basic skills - can clean on a roster if needs, pay bills on time, like a good chat and a cup of tea, have hobbies ( music, sport, travel - have travelled a lot - Maybe explains why I still rent) like cooking, sharing meals, like the environment and looking after it ( eg recycling), interest in social justice, like art...like social house but also private time too ...as is often the case...like a good balance - work in APS - helps pay bills to do some of my creative hobbies...:)
hey guys, I'm from country WA and will be moving to Canberra soon to start a career in the emergency services. I've lived in share houses for the last 5 years so i know how to keep my area (and the rest of the place) clean and respect others privacy. as a housemate, I'm a pretty relaxed and flexible guy who enjoys catching up with housemates and going on the occasional adventure on weekends. I'm also partial to a beer or two but not huge on house parties these days. In my spare time I like to keep active, be it AFL, tennis, cycling or surfing and i'm always happy to have others join in. it does mean that i have a bit of gear to store so a garage or shed at the house would be preferable. hopefully some of this has grabbed your interest and i look forward to moving to Canberra soon!
I love cooking and sharing the food I make with love :) I also enjoy gardening, getting outdoors into nature and communal crafternoon sessions. I love a cup of tea shared with friends and will always lend an ear for a chat about all things philosophical or extremely mundane. I am clean, tidy & respectful of people's belongings, beings and personal space. I balance home and work life as well as quiet time alone and time spent with friends/house mates.
Hi I'm Josh. I like international cinema (Pan's Labyrinth is amazing), black coffee, I'm quiet and I'm vegan (if you're not that's fine too). I'm 23, I've just moved from Newcastle and I'm studying a B. Economics at the ANU. The occasional dinner/film with housemates would be fun, though I respect privacy and space. I like to keep a clean and organised living space and would be happy to share chores. Before now I studied different humanities part-time in Newcastle. I can move anytime within the next month.
I am 34 and relocating from Sydney to Canberra. I was working as a partner in a law firm up until the end of last year but have decided to make a career shift in to Wellness Coaching and Yoga facilitating (whilst still doing legal work part time). I am a down to earth and easy going person - I love getting to know new people and doing interesting new things. I also love my down time and getting out in nature. I am very neat and tidy and after having lived in a few share houses over the years, think I am a very cruisy and considerate house mate : )
I'm 24-year-old Chinese girl, and have just moved to Canberra to start a postgraduate program at ANU. I'm a friendly respectful housemate who understands the need for space and quiet. I'm tidy, quiet person, and have lived in Los Angeles before for my undergraduate study so I know how to share room with people. I like to play badminton and table tennis. If you have time, we can go to gym together~ Xiaoyu is a 20-year Chinese girl, she just started her language program at ANU. She is a pretty, outgoing and tidy girl.
I am clean, quiet, fun and respectful. I live my life with a mug of tea in my hand and my nose buried on a book, or whatever craft project I am attempting that is well beyond my skills set. Currently working at the farmers markets selling plants and flowers, so if you garden there will be sweet discount greenery in your life if we live together 😊 I like to get out of the house to socialize, or cook elaborate desserts and feed them to everyone within arms reach for fun and pleasure. I believe that of you use it, you clean it, and that cleaning rosters are a recipe for disappointment Feel free to hit me up for a coffee or a chat so we can talk about why I am excellent to live with or (or anything else, really)
My names Mitch and I work in retail full time whilst studying IT Cert III part-time. Work takes up a lot of my time and what other time I have I leave to study but whatever I can squeeze in for myself I tend to go out and go on motorbike events on Fridays perhaps go to the movies with friends or just some down time for myself. I am genuinely a friendly person respectful and clean always considerate of others and their privacy. I’m looking for 1 or 2 others to move in with the same aspects neat and tidy/respectful a household with a (good/stable) internet connection.
Hey, I am a German student and I will be writing my Master's thesis in physics at ANU. My hobbies are: football (or soccer? I don't know how you call it), hiking, biking, badminton, playing games (board and computer), music and travelling. I like to cook and would consider myself as quite tidy. I already lived in a shared flat in Budapest for a year. I am looking for people with whom I could live together, and maybe for new friends. I enjoy going out in the evening, but sometimes also want to have some privacy and relaxing evenings at home.
Hey all! My name is Juliet, I'm 18 years old and have recently relocated to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast. I am a social person but definitely respect people's alone time and space! I am tidy and a non smoker. In my spare time I love cooking, taking walks, watching movies and chatting!! I'm a huge animal lover (but don't have any) and I get along with anybody :) Feel free to message me if you have any other questions!
I am a 27 year old PhD student at ANU (just commencing in February). I also have my own small online business where I sell jewellery that I make. I enjoy listening to music, art, and watching weird documentaries. I am originally from Adelaide, but have been living in Canberra for two years now. I consider myself to be a considerate, kind, friendly and organised housemate (I've lived in 3 share-houses before). I'm easy to get along with and always think of others first. I would enjoy catching up with housemates over a cup of tea, a wine/beer or a shared dinner whenever that suits! Move in date is flexible as I have existing accommodation, but hoping to find somewhere that is close (walking/cycling distance) to the ANU in the inner north.
I am an exchange student from Poland studying Law and Music at ANU. Next to it, I started my own business - organisation with other students. I also produce music as my hobby. I am a busy but easy-going person who can always find a time for chat or some chill.
I moved to Canberra in 2011 and have been working for the APS ever since. I've bought a place here so I'm looking to rent until I move into it in August 2019. I'm an awesome housemate because I can keep to myself and get involved with the house. I'm housebroken and have lived in share houses previously.
I work full time as a Communications Strategist and love 50's fashion. Nothing beats eating chocolate on the couch while binge watching Netflix. I'm also up for social outings and enjoy exploring new places when I'm free!
Hi my name is Kiara :) I work full time at The Canberra Hospital as a nurse. I am friendly, clean and easy going. I love bouldering, skiing, travelling and gardening. On my days off I like to go on adventures or out with friends
I'm Dutch so I'm extremely averse to causing offense. I'm very clean and friendly to a fault, and always open for a movie night or group dinner (I'll clean the dishes unless you guys like pasta). In Australia for a year and decided to start off in Canberra, which isn't nearly as boring as everyone kept telling me 😀
I am clean and tidy. I always pull my weight with house work and pay my bills on time. I enjoy cooking, baking, craft projects, board games and curling up with a book and a cup of tea. I am often up for a chat but also like my privacy.
My name is Szymon and I'm starting my full-time PhD studies in philosophy at ANU late February. I'm 28 yo and Polish. People say I'm fun; I don't intend to be too fun though and I spend most of the time reading/writing. I've got a generous scholarship, so don't worry about me paying rent on time or something. I have an office at ANU and I will be working from there (or from a library). When at home, I sleep a lot, like to cook (mostly vege but I'm very flexible in terms of food) and read. The noisiest think I can imagine doing are pushups or sneeze. I'm tidy, great at small-talks and a left-bottom on the political compass. I'm not an extrovert or something and I have the deepest respect for people's privacy. I don't party a lot, I prefer to grab a beer in my place and have a chat about politics, literature, music etc.
Super fun girl studying biotechnology at ANU who would make a wonderful housemate. Always down to have fun but also understnd the times to be focused and respectful of other peoples commitments. Im clean and tidy and respectful of shared spaces and willing to play my role in the house. Im genuinely a wonderful human so please contact me if you have a spare room!!!
I am a 4th year student studying a mixture of politics, human rights and economics. While a social person who is always up for a good chat I also need my own space at times to recharge. I am an easy-going and friendly person who loves exercise, the outdoors, cooking, all things creative and a good dance. Also enjoy going for brunch and coffee more than I should. I have been in shared accommodation for 3 years so appreciate the need to be neat and respect each others space. Look forward to hearing from you!
