Looking for a room to rent with housemates who are easy going, not party animals however are up for a drink every now and then. I work two jobs are Primary schools both in the inner north as a Learning Support Assistant. Would love to be able to stay close to work. I do free lance graphic deisgn on the side and always love a chance to be creative and decorate. I spend a lot of time outside on walks and love having dinner nights with close friends. Im a super tidy and organise person and will respect others space and privacy.
Hi everyone, I'm Claire, a mid-twenties final year postgrad medical student and yoga teacher in Braddon. I love cooking, hiking, (yoga!), running and mornings. Although American, my partner Alder (also in his mid twenties) does not own a gun. He enjoys cycling, following a plethora of sports, perfecting his scrambled eggs and works online. We're both relaxed, clean and social people who also respect others space and property. Would love to find a friendly house or apartment open to some afterwork banter and the occasional BBQ. Whilst happy to socialise we are also cool with doing our own thing too. We are after a room to rent inner north (Braddon, Turner, Ainslie, O'Connor, Lyneham) that will easily fit a queen sized bed with off-street parking available.
Hello! Great to meet you. My name is Angus I'm a 28 year old from Perth (WA) moving to Canberra to commence full time work. Straight off the bat I've done share house living for a number of years so I have experience in living with others. I am clean, tidy, courteous and am always willing to do my fair sharing of the cleaning. I also always pay my rent and bills on time! With that out the way a bit about myself. Outside of work I am a semi-pro triathlete and spend a lot of time outside of work, so I am usually an early to bed and early to rise sort of person. Don't let that put you off though as I enjoy nothing more than socialising and sharing a meal with the people I live with (whilst also appreciating people need their space). The best thing about being so active is that I love to cook and eat good food. Beyond that on weekends I enjoying going to concerts, having a beer in a pub and all types of social activities in between. I have no problem with pets of any type and also own a car. Hopefully I am a good match for your place. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me and I look forward to maybe living with you soon.
Hello there! I'll be moving to Canberra from Sydney at the end of January to work for the APS. I'm super easy-going, very organised and tidy, and totally a people person (but I simultaneously completely love and respect the concept of "me time"). When I'm not working, I love being outdoors, especially if it's anything water-related, or hanging out at home and watching TV with a cup of tea :)
Hey there! I'm Adi, a recent uni graduate currently working a part time job. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, making websites, reading novels, and creative writing. I'm a pretty laidback person, and am always up for a chat with interesting people (over drinks or food is even better!) I'm looking to move soon to a clean, quiet place well connected to the major hubs (like Civic and Belconnen). If you're someone who is mature and organised, but don't mind sharing a laugh together, we'd be great housemates. Other perks worthy of mention: Can cook up a mean stir fry Solid teammate at pretty much any game Avid dog lover If this sounds like someone you'd like to live with, hit me up!
Hi! I am an APS grad starting in early Feb, moving down from Brisbane having just completed my Bachelors in Journalism and Law. 25, friendly, clean and tidy, have lived in share houses the last five years and college dorms before that. I'm always up for a chat, enjoy sharing a meal and making a place feel like a home, but appreciate we all have our down time. Love the outdoors, I'm anticipating a few hiking adventures and ski trips so would love a flatmate who's keen to get around that! Resident doggo/s not a problem.
My name is Eamonn and I’m moving from Sydney to begin a grad job with the APS. I'm looking for a place for 12 months, ideally not too far from civic. A bit about me: I’m 23, enjoy staying active (cycling, gym, hiking) as well as some crappy Netflix series, board games and having a drink at the pub with mates. I’m tidy and can cook well enough to avoid starvation (I've found that adding enough cheese and chilli sauce will make anything tasty). I don’t know anyone in Canberra so would be looking to hang out with any house mates, but still appreciate privacy as well as wanting to spend some time by myself getting to know a new city. I'm around Canberra now, so send me a message!
We are two students searching for two rooms in a friendly and fun sharehouse! Sarah is in her third year and Afra in her fourth at ANU. Since we have lived together a year already we would be perfect to move in with since we already quite in tune to each other. We're both quite easygoing and do like to be sociable: enjoying brunch, a night out or some wine over dinner (even better with flatmates). We both have jobs and quite a busy schedule, so when we are home we like it to be tidy and relaxing! We're also happy to negotiate our weekly rent budget :)
Hi, I'm a research scientist who enjoys playing sports and being out in nature. I’m friendly, respectful, tidy and reliable. Please message me if you'd like to team up or if you have a room available.
Currently seeking accommodation in and around my work in Lyneham... or anywhere really. I am originally from Sydney so the novelty of being able to get anywhere in Canberra in about 30 minutes hasn’t worn off yet. I work full time usually 6 or 7 days a week but with early starts so would prefer a quiet house where people weren’t coming and going all the time. Really like animals and finished studying Vet Nursing last year. I like to think I’m very tidy and clean up after myself. I spend what little free time I have during the week at the gym or on my laptop. I haven’t really had the opportunity to meet many people here yet so whilst I am pretty quiet mostly it would be nice to find a place with people I could hang out and have a few drinks with every now and then.
Young professional who likes climbing and cooking, very active lifestyle which is also prone to bouts of laziness. Love banter and beer! Looking for somewhere stable as I'm starting a new job soon. I work in my spare time as a handyman.
2 adventurous people moving to the ACT area in January 2019. Both full time work, very friendly, clean and easy going. Looking somewhere around Civic, Inner North, Belconnen, Deakin, Red Hill plus others Fit and healthy, we both like to cook delicious food, chill out over some wine and being outside. Well travelled, we are settling down in the ACT, looking for friendly like minded people who are relaxed and are hoping to share a house with us. More than happy to have quiet house hold, watch a few movies, play board games but also keen to go out for a meal or a drink from time to time. Both experienced Skydivers so will disappear some weekends to go jumping. Cal: Following a near decade in Defence I have moved into an APS job starting in the coming weeks. I am a fanatic cook and love unwinding by creating a delicious meal at the end of the day. Keeping fit and love the snow! Trudy: has accepted a job teaching senior science at Radford college to start late January. She loves keeping fit, hiking, taking out the dogs and is an avid gardener who just loves the outdoors. TWO DOGS: Dusty: a 5 year border collie who is deemed the smartest dog in the world. Unlike most border collies he is more relaxed and prefers to enjoy sleeping in his beanbag than running around. He is quiet, extremely friendly and very happy. Korra: She is an adorable sweet heart smaller border collie X, who loves to go for walks and is quiet and chilled out. Luckily she has seemed to take after her bigger brother and enjoys stretching out on her bed being content with herself. If we sound like good housemates then hit us up! Keen to share a place or team up
Cozy apartment located a 10 minute bike ride to Civic or the ANU, and a short walk to Lyneham shops. The apartment is fully furnished, has a nice balcony, an outdoor pool and air-conditioning. Your room is furnished with a queen bed and built-in wardrobes. Would suit a student or young professional looking for a short term stay in Canberra.
I'm a friendly and clean person. I am from Brazil and I’m visiting ANU to develop part of my PhD thesis (my research is focused on biological evolution). I like to play soccer, take longs walks, learn new things, and meet new people.
G'day, I've just moved up to Canberra from Melbourne to work full time in the public service and am looking for a good sharehouse. I've lived in sharehouses for years back home and had really positive experiences. I'm a considerate housemate who is respectful and easy going. I'm interested in finding a house with that balance between a friendly and social atmosphere with some personal space. I like seeing live music, getting outdoors (rock climbing, hiking etc) and having good chats over dinner or a drink. Looking forward to meeting some interesting people in Canberra. *photo is my last house, I'm on the far right
(Moving date is flexible) Hi! I'm Liska, I'm a very tidy Honours student studying Chinese translation at ANU. I'm looking for a relaxed, friendly household in the inner north. I'm language and history-obsessed, love all pets, consume music voraciously, sew patches, play video games and make really good margaritas. I also write fiction and build fantasy worlds for fun and pay. Would be open to cooking together! (although I'm vegetarian) Happy to work within organised cleaning/chore rosters etc I head up to Newcastle sometimes to visit my family and girlfriend. She also likes to visit me too now and then so I'm looking for somewhere where she'd be welcome to stay in my room. Let me know if your place sounds like a match!
We are 2 friends looking for 1-2 housemates to team up and rent a 4-5 bedroom house in a reasonably priced and located suburb in Canberra. Looking mostly inner North but not particularly attached. About us: Lily is a returning public servant and George is just starting. We are both situated in Melbourne currently but will be moving to Canberra mid-late February. George is available to inspect places from the 10th of Feb. We are both Engineers with years of experience share housing. Lily enjoys cooking (and eating), making things and has a cat (who gets along with dogs). George enjoys eating (and cooking), designing and building things, working out and exploring. Neither of us takes ourselves seriously and are always down for a laugh. About you: You are looking to team up and help in the house search and be on the lease. You are easy going and respectful, looking for a social household with occasional shared meals and adventures. Please message us on flatmates if you are interested 😊
Moving to Canberra in Feb 2019 to take up a new job in Government. Will be returning to Sydney each weekend, so looking for somewhere comfortable and convenient for Monday to Friday. Easygoing, self sufficient, neat and friendly.
Moving from Sydney, will be arriving on 19th of Jan and looking to move in by the 10th of Feb. I'm looking for a share house in the inner suburbs of Canberra, preferably with other full-time workers of a similar age. I'm relatively easygoing, tidy, and respectful of my housemates. In my spare time I like to cook, exercise, play sport, and just generally get out and about. Pros - Loves to bake (brownies and puddings are a specialty) - Can make a mean G&T - Stable income - Stable mind - Non smoker Cons - Allergic to cats - dogs are fine though! - Questionable music taste (although I do own a great pair of noise-cancelling headphones, which means you will never subjected to this)
Couple (+1) looking for a 3 bedroom place close to the city for work. Clean, respectful and responsible. We all work in various fields - I'm an artist and work retail, my partner runs a podcast and works in hospitality and our friend is a singer/filmmaker who also works full-time in retail management.
I'm from Melbourne and moving to Canberra to work in the APS in February of this year. I'm looking for a room in the inner north or south and am eager to meet new people and make friends! I'm social but pretty chill, and can get around a marathon netflix session. I'm neat, and also like to cook. I make great mac and cheese.
Hi! I am an excellent roommate, plenty of share house experience. I am very clean. Love to be social and get amongst the share house vibes BUT also love my own privacy and respect that of others. I’m an arts student at ANU and working at a cafe. I’m usually super busy but in my down time I love a bit of Netflix, but also if the weather permits, I’d much prefer to be outside. I’d love to have a chat and potentially be your new roommate! :)
