Osama
$250/week•27 year old man
My name is Osama. I’ve been living in Australia for over six years. I run my own businesses here and overseas, which gives me a stable income, and I sometimes take on side projects or gigs just for fun and variety. I also continue my psychology studies at Swinburne University from time to time — it’s an ongoing interest that I dip in and out of, though not my main focus. I live simply and travel light. For me, a home is more about the people in it than the things inside it. I don’t have a fixed location in mind as long as it’s within Melbourne and feels open, welcoming, and not like a cage. I really love animals — I enjoy seeing them in the wild or in big open spaces with other pets. That said, I prefer not to live with indoor pets, so I’ll admire them from a respectful distance and call myself the “weird guy” who loves animals best when they’re free. What I value most in a home is a calm and respectful atmosphere. I like living with people who are kind, mindful, and open to communication. I’m easygoing and considerate, clean in shared spaces, and a non-smoker. Socially, I enjoy balance — sometimes sharing a tea, meal, or movie, and other times enjoying quiet independence. Either way, I respect the rhythm of those I live with. I’m drawn to households that lean toward intentional or mindful living: open communication, simple routines, and the sense that home is a place of belonging, not just a roof. I’m not interested in dealing with agents, because I don’t see living as a business transaction. I’d rather share a space with people who value community and comfort over profit. NOTE: The first 3 months are just to make sure everyone’s happy — after that, my plan is to stay for years. My budget is flexible with bills, and I’m happy to add up to $50+ if there’s a good reason. I can also be flexible with the moving date if needed — anywhere between November and December works for me if that helps. That was me in a nutshell — if you think I’d be a good fit, please reach out. And if any questions come your way, ask away, I don’t bite :) Thank you.

$400/week•36 year old woman
🌿✨ Looking for a 3-6 month, fully furnished rental in Melbourne ✨🌿 Hi! I’m Nura, a 36-year-old Canadian on a Working Holiday Visa, and I’m looking for a beautiful place to call home while I explore life in Australia. ✔️ Open to: one-bedrooms, high-rises, apartments, or houses (happy with roommates too for cheaper rent of course) ✔️ Budget: $300-$400/week ✔️ Must be pet-friendly – I have a 3lb chihuahua, Peanut. She’s tiny, gentle, and has the heart and personality of a golden retriever 🐾 Prefer female household or queer friendly but open Been getting lots of messages from those living far outside of Melbourne and my chosen areas. I’d like to stay close to Elwood, St. Kilda, Prahan, Docklands etc A little about me: 🇨🇦 I’m a personal trainer and run my own cleaning company 🌊 I love being outdoors, especially by the ocean, gym, Pilates, active in general 🎙 I’m starting a podcast focused on healing childhood trauma ✨ Clean, responsible, reliable, respectful, quiet & aware of others in the home, and always on time with bills Love to cook, I’m not much of a party girl, I like the occasional drink here and there and socializing but appreciate downtime as well. Not sure exactly what Australia has in store for us yet, but I’m beyond excited to experience its beauty and connect with community here. If you have (or know of) a place that feels like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you! 💛

NOTE: putting together a teamup and not looking for/interested in a room; thanks. Hey guys! I'm putting together a teamup to find a vacant sharehouse in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne (see suburbs below for an idea of the area that I'm looking in at the moment). I just vacated my long-term sharehouse in Chadstone recently and have a long list of shared items/furniture (including furnishings for at least one other room) that I can contribute. I've been living in sharehousing since February 2021 (initially in Brisbane and for the last three years in Chadstone) and am a clean, reliable and organised housemate who always pays on time (in fact, I've most often been the main contact/person in charge of rent/bills and making sure everyone else pays on time, haha). So yeah, would say I'm pretty well-versed. Overall, I'm a pretty sensible, friendly and easy-going guy (you might hear me play music/an instrument from time to time, but I try to keep it down), so pretty easy to live with. I'm a muso (bass, piano and dabble in guitar and drums) and play in my own band, and I'm a music, film and TV lover (big into Star Wars and Marvel in particular); also love the footy and tennis. Otherwise, keen to find some cool people to team up with (ideally around similar age) and form a group that gets on well and has a good balance between being social/occasionally doing stuff together but also being respectful of space, down time, etc. My current sharehouse has always been mixed-gender, and it's worked pretty well for us, so happy to do this again. If this appeals to you, give me a message; looking forward to meeting people – thanks!

Laid-back but clean, social but value our own space — we are ambiverts who know how to read the room. Into basketball, good food, late-night convos, and the occasional house party. We’re big on music, movies, personal growth, and keeping the house vibe easygoing and respectful. You’ll usually catch us studying, watching something solid, or out playing sport. Looking for a place that’s tidy, drama-free, and feels like home. Keen to live with people who are chill, social, and down to hang but also respect space when it’s needed.

I work full-time in the office and keep pretty busy during the week with dance classes, gym, and catching up with friends. At home, I like a balance of hanging out with housemates for a chat or meal but also value solo downtime. I do not smoke and not a big drinker. I’m tidy and clean, especially in shared spaces, and I love cooking for people close to me (my latest bake was a caramel slice!). When I’m winding down, you’ll usually find me meal prepping, watching a crime series, or occasionally baking. I’d love to join a friendly, respectful and good-vibes household.
