I'm from Tanzania, I will be visiting Australia and working for a hotel - Hotel Realm, Canberra. I will be working there as a front desk agent for 12 months. I'm very clean, easygoing, charismatic, always smiling
Hello! I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne in January 2018 to commence work in the public service. I'm after something in the inner suburbs, preferably in the South, within bus/cycling distance to work. I'm flexible in terms of house or apartment, but would prefer to share with similarly aged housemates. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of others' privacy and can contribute some furniture if necessary. I'm a food enthusiast, big soccer fan and always up for a drink or two. Let me know if you're interested!
Heyya :) my name is Philipp and I am a German student. I grew up close to Frankfurt but moved south, close to the Swiss border for my studies. I spent my last seven months in Wellington as an exchange student and intern and I'm coming to Canberra in January for another 3-month full-time internship, so I'm looking for a place to stay for that time! :) I am fairly outgoing and really easy to live with, I've been told. :) I'm a rather sportive guy, my favourite sports being Tennis, Soccer, Basketball and a few others. I also really like to go for a beer or two at a pub ;) I would say about myself that I am quite tidy, although my Mom would probably disagree... I don't mind how many people I would be living with or how big the room/apartment is, like I said I'm quite easy-going, Anyway, if I sound like someone that you would like to live and have a yarn with, I would really love to hear from you and maybe we'll be flatmates soon! Cheers, Phil
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
Hello, I've recently moved back home to Canberra after travelling around the country with work. I'm very happy to see that in that past 10 years Canberra has really become a fabulous city with great food and lifestyle available. It wasn't like this in the 80's trust me! I am a clean, open, friendly mid 30's professional seeking a flatmate with a similar life outlook as my own. I am a open gay male who is easy to get along with and very easy to live with.
I am responsible person who keep to myself, unless socialising with others. I am quiet and respectful of others and their space. I am from the United States, so I can amuse you with my American accent :) I have a master’s in Psychology, and currently getting a diploma in Mental health. I currently work at Aquila, in Civic, as a sales associate. I hope to remain in Australia indefinitely.
Hi, I'm looking to establish a new share house with one other person. I am currently living on the Kingston Foreshore and would be interested in staying around the general area. I have lounge room, dining and kitchen furniture/items already. Only items I don't have are a fridge and washing machine (current rental already had these items). I work full-time, I'm reasonably quiet but love to socialise and interact. I am definitely someone who likes to have a clean and tidy home and take pride in the way it looks, so would prefer to match up with someone like minded. My ideal housemate would also be a professional, who likes to chat over a glass of wine and maybe do something fun over the weekends occasionally. If you would like to chat, please contact me. It would be preferable to meet up first and then look at potential properties. Ideal property: 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, I would need a car space as well. Pool and or a gym would also be great. Rent and utilities spilt evenly I would be happy to go up to $650 in total ($325 each) but would like to stay closer to $600.
I am a professional, working part time as a dentist and looking for a clean and tidy shared accommodation, preferably ensuite with good sunlight and fresh air. I like socialising and I am an easy going person. I have been living in Canberra for 1.5 years and have no plans of relocating to any other city for at least 6 months. I have no pets but I love being around dogs. I love listening to music, trying different activities and meeting new people. I am very clean, tidy and organised and respect others' privacy.
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’m working full-time in the APS (in Barton) and I’m looking to move closer to the city. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
Hello! I'm an Australian student at the ANU studying international relations and policy studies, and looking to move off-campus from my lodge residence this year. I moved from the Sunshine Coast in QLD at the start of this year when I was only 17, and have spent the last year studying and finding my rhythm living on my own. I have steady employment in hospitality and mostly work nights at this point. I'm looking for a housemate who will want to spend time together and be friends, but also respect one another privacy. I enjoy film-cinema, 80s music and being in the sunshine. Ideal situation would be a team-up for 6 months before getting my own place mid-2018.
Hi. I'm an easy-going, tidy, reliable, respectful, and responsible flatmate. I'm looking for a room, preferably furnished and with own ensuite/bathroom. I have a great job - I'm a UX Designer - and sometimes travel for work. I enjoy travel, trivia, board games, movies (especially foreign and arthouse), TV/Netflix, cooking, swimming and reading.
Full time bartender, part time masters student, casual taco enthusiast. I am easy going, clean and neat, always up for a chat with fellow housemates, and I can make a mean cocktail or two if you've had a rough day. Look forward to hearing from potential housemates!
Canberran born and bred. Have been living overseas for the past 2.5 years and just returned. Full time nurse and part time yoga teacher. I'll give you free health advice and stretches. On weekends I'm usually away or hurtling around Canberra.
Fun, easy going guy who likes to cook, bqq, craft beer and red wine. I enjoy games, gaming, cycling and swimming.. ok.. not so much swimming, but being close to a pool would be great! I've travelling to Australia from Scotland to geek out working at Microsoft so looking for some short term accommodation while working in Canberra.
Hi I'm moving to Canberra for work, I've been in Melbourne and in sharehouses for the past 7 years so I know how to look after a place and be fun to have around. I work in the media, and outside of work I love AFL (playing and watching), reading and Netflix, and catching up with friends. Move in date is flexible in the first few weeks of November.
I am a french student who found an internship in an architecture agency in Canberra and I want to find a room in a friendly shared house/apartment where I will find roommate to hang out and to talk/drink beer. I am a respectful girl, curious and I like going out. I want to see a part of the country and practice english.
Professional city worker. Enjoy my work but also making time for social activities. Originally from mid-north coast NSW. Previously living in Sydney and Melbourne. Now settled in Canberra and enjoying the slower pace and how easy the city is. I like to think I am clean, responsible and considerate of others. Easy going. Enjoy staying fit, gym, cycling, exploring the outdoors and a bit of social dancing. Family and friends in Canberra so I do like to spend time catching up with them. I miss having a dog, so if you have a dog thats a plus. Looking for share accommodation in and around the city. Preferably within a bike ride to work.
I’m orginally from a small country town but have living in Canberra for 9yrs. I pride myself on being an organising but chill room make. I’m working full-time and spend most of the week nights out with work friends so wouldn’t be in the way during the week. Absolutely keen on making new friendship from living in a share house.
Recently graduated from ANU, currently working at a nursery full time (can help you out in the garden/share plant love with you if you're already converted). Enjoy reading, cooking, dabbling in sport (yoga, squash, bushwalking, kayaking), travelling, and learning. I am a respectful and tidy housemate who likes to share a meal/drink sometimes with housemates but is also considerate of others' privacy/preferences.
I'm 27 and work in the public sector. I'm from Sydney and recently moved to Canberra. I'm pretty laid-back and tidy. I enjoy watching Netflix after work to unwind. Always up for socializing but also respectful of personal space.
I'm clean, quiet and considerate. I love a wine and a chat. I'm moving from Brisbane and am travelling fairly light (enough stuff for my room). Ideally, I'm looking for an established place with some easy going professionals. I was a musician in my 20s (I played drums...and no I won't be bringing any drums down). However, I work in legal these days and really enjoy it. I really like all things creative / arts.
Hello :) Bit about me: 27 year old, public servant working in parliamentary triangle. Currently living in Kingston, landlords just given notice that he intends to sell, so I'm after a new place to call home. I enjoy quiet evenings reading, as well as the occasional night out, but I don't bring the party home. I do like the occasional tipple, perhaps the less occasional trip to the gym and I love getting out and about in the outdoors. I'm considerate, tidy and work is the priority. I'm very keen to share a home with a likeminded person in a non-smoking home. Ideally, I'd like a spot for my car. Anyway, if any of this sounds good, it would be great to get in touch.
I'm a friendly, easygoing, clean and tidy, social housemate with lots of share housing experience. I want to live in a house where housemates enjoy the occasional dinner and drinks together, and are able to have friends over occasionally, but who are also independent and respectful of each other's space. I work in the APS, studied law and arts at uni, and love hiking, yoga, cooking, reading and squash. And more! I like to be busy, to travel and meet new people, and to explore new interests. I'm looking to meet like-minded people to share a house or apartment with, in a location cycling-distance to Barton, and am flexible in my moving dates. Ideally the available room would be large, and preferably with its own bathroom (but not necessarily needed).
Quiet part-time stay at home worker with two small shih-tzu cross dogs looking for suitable long-term accommodation anywhere in the Greater CBR area. Conscientious, considerate of others, and respectful of privacy. Social as required, and always clean and tidy. References are available on request.
Hi all, Social and considerate 32 y/o with plenty of share housing experience. I don’t smoke, work full time in a science roll for the public service and throw a bit of study in occasionally. In my spare time I enjoy catching up with friends, cooking good food for myself and others, travel, movies, playing sport(professional social sport ring in) and running trails. Looking to move somewhere from November but very flexible
Hello! I'm a friendly full time public servant looking for a new place to call home. I've lived in a few share houses over the years so I'm good with keeping communal areas clean and tidy as well as respecting personal space. I'm easy going, considerate, quite into music, enjoy catching up on a few tv shows (the expanse, and doctor who amongst others) and a good hike. When i'm home I'm generally happy to share a meal, socialise or just shoot the breeze about life and stuff.
I'm a keen cyclist, who works at the airport, and spends most of my spare time either on my bike or at the gym. Happy with pretty much anywhere as long as it has air conditioning and somewhere to put my car
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
Hello. This is Amy. I work at cafe which is located in Barton. So I need to live near my work place. Not far away from there:) I wanna have my own room but I can share bathroom. I'm very friendly and bright. I love cats and dogs. I really love animals And I will go to the uni next year. Not calling please Only text:) Thank you:)
Hi there! I've been in Canberra for just under a year now and I'm looking for a new place to live. I'm social, but like to have a bit of me time also. I'm always happy to share a bottle of wine and am always up for a chat and small Canberra adventures. I'm originally from Sydney so I am still back and forth a little. I love pets (especially dogs) but don't discriminate between any animals, as long as they like a good cuddle. I'm clean, I'm nice and am always up for some good banter.
Hello! I'm a 27 year old young professional making my way in the big capital! A bit about me- I'm originally from Perth, studied journalism and then did my Masters in International Relations and moved to Canberra at the end of 2015 to work at an Embassy. I'm now working in media at the AGD. I'll be at work during the day, gym most evenings (when I'm on a good roll!) and I'm usually out and about on the weekends. I've found a great 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Kingston and looking for a like minded girl or guy to move in with me. Being fairly new to Canberra, I'm really keen to find a housemate who is more like friend, but I also love my own space. I'm super clean and respectful of communal areas. I love cooking and gardening, having a chat and movie nights/glass of wine with my housemate and generally making a house a home. In my spare time I've been embracing the national parks around Canberra and doing heaps of hiking and exploring. Love checking out new bars, markets, live music etc as well! I also have two little cats called Cookie & Nala who are very chilled, completely kitty litter trained, and will 99% be in my room- they're really friendly! If you are looking for a place in Kingston and we sound like a good match get in touch! Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi there! I'm an active young woman who works for Cisco out at Brindabella Park. I grew up here, so plenty of local knowledge. I don't have pets just YET, but I'm planning on rescuing a doggo or two, because I love dogs and also they're the key to happiness. This means that, if possible, I'd love a place with a yard. It doesn't have to be massive, as I'm in the habit of walking any dogs I have twice a day, every day. I regularly go to the gym - Eighty8 near my work, Anytime Fitness, and BlocHaus climbing gym - so I'm out of the house until quite late on weekdays. On weekends, I like relaxing around the house, moaning about being tired, then finally dragging myself off my butt to buy expensive brunch like the usual entitled millennial (but I hate avocado - ask me why I haven't bought a house yet!) and hang out with my mates. I am not at all a morning person; in fact I hate them. And I'm also not really a party person unless someone else does all the work and drags me out the door. I'm really not suited to a student household or a house with more than two other people - I've done my time in massive sharehouses, and I'm not about that life anymore. I do like cooking, but I'm pretty boring, because I usually bulk cook everything once a week and then eat frozen leftovers. Sometimes I feel inspired and make cakes/biscuits/assorted baked goods which I expect to share, because please take all those sweet things away from me. I definitely have too many clothes, so expect to triple your wardrobe if you're a size 8/shoe size 7, because I share. If you're a bloke, you can share too, but don't stretch out anything expensive! I enjoy video games, and I have a nice PC and an Xbox 360 (yes, I refuse to update, that workhorse is still going strong). I also read a lot! In summary: - One or two other people to share; - Small yard for a doggy; - Not a party animal; - Tragically single, so no bf/gf to awkwardly meet, but occasional sobbing; - Sometimes sing in the shower, but am actually decent; - Unfortunately shed long blonde hair everywhere; - Don't smoke, do drink infrequently; - Relaxed, full time employed, also I smell nice.
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors. - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social.
Hi everyone, We are two Canberrans looking to move into a share-house from mid-November onward. Ellie is a young professional. She describes herself as super lame, and enjoys cooking, the outdoors and a drink. Ashleigh is an ANU student. She loves the ocean and the outdoors. She also survives mainly on peanut butter toast (so you won't have to worry about her hogging the kitchen). We are both friendly and social, but also like our down time. We are looking for another clean, friendly student/young professional to team up with/join our house. Flick us a message if you're interested, and we can organise to meet up & get a coffee. - Ellie and Ash
