Hi I am studying physiotherapy at UC and doing a pilates internship (age 26) and recently made the move from Melbourne where I was doing Chinese Med and Acupuncture. I have lived in share houses in Byron Bay, UK Oxford and Brisbane and Melbourne so am quite familiar with sharing space and contributing. Im looking for an apartment or house or granny flat with friendly interactions. I am both happy to socialise and do my own thing. I am respectful of others and their space and I'm not a stressful person to be around. I love taste testing and discovering new local wines and coffee, food and warm cocoa as well as herbs and tinctures of all sorts. I am quite active and when I'm not working, studying or seeing friends/ fam I like to do some writing, reading, yoga, hiking, expanding my views through podcasts and talks and learning electric guitar. I have a car and work part time in Yarralumla while studying :) Thanks :)
Hi there! The end of August my boyfriend (Bram, M, 26) and I (F, 24) are moving to Canberra from Europe (Belgium) and are looking for a place to live from September onwards till March 2020. We are looking for a shared apartment with easy-going, social and fun flatmates who like to hang around once in a while, cook together etc. Most convenient would be to live near the city center, Yarralumla or other spots near the embassies neighbourhood but we are open to other spots which are easily accessible by bike/public transport. More about us: - Bram is a mechanical and computer science engineer looking for a job and likes volleyball, running, swimming, etc. - I'll be doing a 6 months diplomatic internship and love to meet new people and doing fun stuff! - We are both super tidy, clean and used to living with other people. - We really like going out (electronic music, techno, DnB...) but also really like hiking and nature. Looking forward to meeting you! Cheers!
Hi guys, my name's Daniel and I'm a pilot originally from Perth but have spent the last year and a half in Newcastle and will be moving to Canberra for the foreseeable future at the end of August. I am a really practical and down to Earth kind of guy. I love new experiences and lead an active lifestyle so enjoy getting out for a run, swim, hike/camp, travelling or sampling different local beers. I don't smoke and I won't be bringing any kids or pets and will gladly help out around the place and tend to be pretty clean myself. So looking for kind of the same in a housemate. Initially I will be moving by myself but my girlfriend (29) will follow at the end of the year (~Dec). So ideally finding somewhere or starting up a new sharehouse that would be ok with another addition either permanently or for short term while we find another place would be great depending on how you feel about it. The ideal location would have a supermarket, some cafes and maybe a pub/bar or two within a short distance but I am pretty easy. Good public transport options are pretty important too. I prefer something on my own up to a share house with a maximum of 4 occupants total and am pretty clean and very considerate myself. So if you happen to have a room or would like to look at starting up a new share house and think I may be a good fit, please feel free to contact me. Cheers! Dan
Hi! I'm a 23 year old law graduate from Ghent, Belgium. I'll be interning at the EU Delegation to Australia for 6 months starting early July. I'm therefore looking for a place to stay and am more than happy to share with flatmates. I like soccer, hiking, movies, going out for drinks and look forward to exploring Canberra.
My name is Matt. I'm a full-time professional moving from Melbourne to Canberra and looking to find a place in an existing share-house around early August. I'm sharehouse trained - clean, tidy, respectful, and appreciate my quiet time, but also don't mind a chat or a shared activity. I have my own bedroom furniture. My preference is for off-street parking if possible and my own bathroom, but I’m flexible.
24 year old friendly and approachable male Work full time, have a car Into sci-fi movies and videogames and love a semi-social environment where personal space is respected but not always a necessity! love a cold beer and the football from time to time and regularly go for hikes and camping in Canberra's surrounding mountains Love a good coffee and greatly enjoy animals and any house with pets would be wonderful! I am very adaptable and am happy to live in any sort of environment Looking forward to hearing from you!
Moved to Canberra February last year to study, originally from a small property just inland of Coffs Harbour. I love anything outdoor, often go away snowboarding and love animals. I do also like some quiet time to just relax and read or watch netflix. I am very clean and always clean up after myself. Looking for at least a 6month stay. I deferred my uni course this year as I want to change to study part time nursing next year, but for now I am working casually as an event supervisor at Parliament House roughly 30 hrs a week. Looking to move in about the first week of august and am in canberra this weekend (6th/7th July).
Creative professional and coach recently moved to Canberra and looking for a share house with character (people and house). Working full time on a government contract and studying design in my spare time. Lots of experience living in share houses and contributing to a positive, respectful and attractive space. Enjoy a glass of wine and chat after work or on weekends. Like to cook and share meals when the timing works. A large room with a nice outlook would suit me best to fit a queen sized bed, dresser and desk, or a small room and access to study/studio space. I have a beautiful 8 seater dining table and chairs if there is room, plus a coffee machine and some great kitchenware. If you have dogs count me out because I have allergies. Cats, chooks, rabbits a bonus.
I’m a full time working needing to move out of home due to my family moving away the sooner the better, I am a clean person and very flexible, my partner is also moving with me due to living so far away it’ll make it easier for her work my budget will increase once I get my own transport as of the moment I’m taking the bus, I am also easy to get along with and more than happy to give people personally space and stay out of the way or happy to have a friendship as well as a finiancial agreement whatever suits :”)
