Moving to Canberra for work. I am pretty laid back. I like my alone time, but also like hanging out with people and sharing dinner and/or a glass of wine. Hoping to find nice, easy-to-live with flatmates. Four-legged flatmates are a big bonus. Interests include gardening, books, travel, nature walks, live music and so on.
I am a fun, energetic and social person. Enjoying any sorts of physical activity aswell as staying inside and playing video games, cooking or watching anime, I am a fulltime Apprentice carpenter working Full time Monday to Saturday 6 to 5, I am currently in need of a place and am happy in signing a 12 month lease, I enjoy The cinemas, ALL sports besides cricket, skiing, and I also enjoy playing video games in my spare time. moving from down the south Coast (Moruya) to begin my new Job. I am clean and also enjoy my own space and respects others.
I'm a quiet country fella, from northern NSW. I'll be working compressed hours and getting back to the farm as much as possible. I'm a relaxed sort of person - I don't mind a chat and I'm equally happy to respect privacy and personal space. I've gotta say I'm a pretty average cook but a healthy eater. For those weekends I'll be in Canberra, I'm looking forward to enjoying the green space and catching up with friends. But I also don't mind binge-watching trashy TV:) I’d prefer to be within walking distance of work in Barton.
I'm an easy going guy who is new to Canberra. Coming from Perth after just graduating from Uni to work as an IT Analyst. I'm definitely more of a "let's have a night in" kinda guy. I enjoy chill nights watching Netflix and playing video games but I am happy to go out every so often to see what Canberra has to offer! I'm an absolute sucker for good food, especially when it's takeaway but I'll be trying to cook more to save money! I try to go to the gym a few times a week, but I'm not very good at motivating myself so having a gym buddy would be sweet as. I'm a bit of a tech nerd too (kinda why I'm working in IT) so if the WiFi goes down, I'm your guy. I'm looking for somewhere to stay (obviously) but I'm also looking to meet new people and to make some new friends! I'm aiming for a pretty chill group of people, not really after anyone who's going to be throwing house parties every weekend... The main thing I'm after is having my own room and bathroom, but my ideal place would also have easy access to public transport, parking for my car, fast internet and is close-ish to the shops and/or a gym. I've never lived with flatmates before but I'm genuinely keen to give it a try! Thanks!
I am a recent university graduate who will be moving to Canberra to begin a career with the APS in early Feb 2019. I'm currently living in Melbourne and have just begun a search for accommodation. I would definitely prefer to share a place, since I have no existing network in Canberra. Aside from work, I am quite keen to explore the ACT's parks and hiking opportunities, and am a keen cyclist. I am pretty relaxed at home and am always up for a chat in the evenings. It would be nice to share cooking as well, since I love cooking for people and am always willing to try new food myself.
Hi there! My name is Callum and I just graduated from my Honours in Philosophy at UC. I currently work at a bakery/cafe near the Airport and am hoping to move to central Canberra to be closer to my work and also ANU for post-graduate study (Currently a 30 minute drive). I absolutely love cooking: i will likely force poached eggs, avocado on toast and an array of experiments down my potential housemates throats. I love a good glass of red wine (or shot of vodka/gin + tonic). I read and write a lot, love nature, Netflix, hiking, travelling and generally have little obsessions that crop up (Recently it was homemade Pizza bases + freshly baked bread). I am very easy-going, relaxed, communicative (like i talk through most issues i have with people, often to a fault because i absolutely cannot stand resentment), clean, caring and helpful person.
Looking for a place for at least 12 months. Hobbies include sports and other recreational activities, I have a cat named Mac who’s very low maintenance and sweet. Enjoy riding my bike everywhere. Like to socialise and cook but also enjoy alone time every now and then :))
I will be moving from Wollongong to CBR to study a master of science communication outreach at ANU in 2019 and am looking for a place near the university to reside next year. Beside study and part-time work commitments I enjoy being outside and staying physically active.
Hi, I'm Tyler! I finished my uni studies this year (Psyc and Commerce) and am moving to Canberra for a grad role at the APS in February 2019. Last year's grads have told me the rental market gets real rough closer to Feb, so happy to start looking a little earlier to make things easier! I've lived out of home for the last year, and am a tidy housemate. I spend my off time reading and playing keyboard (I can plug in headphones so I'm not a nuisance). I'm occasionally active, riding my pushbike or going for a run or hike. I'm social and up for a chat, board games and cards but also enjoy time on my own. My gf currently works in Sydney so I'll commute up there some weekends. 1-2 others would be preferable with a private bathroom but that's not super necessary. I'm looking near the Parliamentary Triangle to make the work commute easier but am unsure which suburbs are best, so I'm pretty flexible with location! Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Hi! I'm an APS grad next year and have started working full time early. I love going to bars and museums and am happy to have a wine and watch tv together. I love reading and going for walks. I like my own space but am also happy to hang out. I've lived in Canberra for three years so can show you around! I'm flexible with move in dates!
Currently graduated from ANU, looking for work and a place to live as I have to move out of my student accommodation by the end of January. I am neat, quiet and keep to myself and would prefer mature respectful roommates.
Public servant, coffee enthusiast and amateur beat-maker. I like to think I'm good at snowboarding (I mean, I can turn, that means good, right?) and can also read a mean book. I'm looking for a chill house that's also social!
Hi everyone. I am a public policy graduate moving from Melbourne to Canberra in January to start full time work in Acton for the Australian Public Service. I will be needing a place to live, I will be bringing my own furniture for my room and will happily contribute to communal furniture. I enjoy quiet nights watching TV or reading a book, I am a sociable person and am always happy to have a chat with anyone especially about all things harry potter, parks and recreation and game of thrones, but I also fully respect everyone's privacy. I am reliable with bills and rent, am happy to join a lease, I am a non-smoker, I have no pets and my only requirement is that I need off-street parking (I will happily drive housemates around when I am not working). I plan to move up to Canberra on January 9th and I know I am advertising early, purely in the hope of getting something secured as I know Canberra is competitive for housing in January.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing for almost 3 years now, so I definitely know the drill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I do keep to myself quite a bit when it comes to share houses, just because I’m normally so tired from long hours. So you’ll normally find that I like to be in my room chilling out watching Netflix. I guess what I’m really looking for in a home is just a clean environment and house mates that are okay with me being antisocial sometimes or hiding away watching Netflix haha. Lauren x
Hi, my name is Jacob. I am currently completing my university studies at RMIT University in Melbourne, but will be relocating to Canberra in February 2019 for a graduate program. I have heard the rental market goes a little nuts in the ACT in January/February, so I thought I would put the feelers out early to see if anyone else would like to team up and make the search a little less harrowing. I am not super familiar with Canberra in the geographical sense, but would like something central and close to the Parliamentary Triangle so the work commute is as convenient as possible. Looking for 1-2 others, private bathroom would be preferrable but not essential. I am clean and tidy, and hoping to live with others who are the same. Coffee and wine are in my DNA, and tend to socialise by consuming one of the two, sometimes both. I enjoy good conversation, adding to my book collection, keeping up on current affairs, and the occasional Netflix binge. I try to drag my ass out for some fitness on a semi-regular basis. I am sociable and outgoing, but also value my own down time. Get in touch if you'd like to have a chat.
Hi, I recently started a new engineering job in Canberra, originally from Melbourne and I am currently looking for some fine folk(s) to share a home with in Canberra. I am looking for a place with decent access to public transport, near-ish to shops and with a garage or shed that I can keep a couple of bikes. I also have some furniture from sharehouses past. A bit about me, my hobbies include cycling, games (electronic and tabletop), I enjoy making (and consuming) interesting food and happy share this with people. I used to be a bartender and I enjoy maintaining those drink making and tasting skills with others and chatting about stuff and things. I consider myself to be house trained and I am happy help out around the house to keep communal spaces tidy and with chores. Generally, I am pretty chilled out, I am looking for people to live with, not a bunch of strangers to share a house with.
I am very friendly and enjoy meeting new people! I like to go out and try new bars, restaurants and cafes. I also like to keep fit. I’m originally from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a graduate position. I’m looking for some like-minded flatmates, who like to try new things and would be excited to explore Canberra with me.
Standard APS graduate moving from interstate to reside in our glorious capital! Quirky, enjoy my own space as well as the odd shindig/house party. Enjoy households where everyone does their own thing but hangs out on a fairly regular basis (i.e. Netflix, drinks, going out for dinner). Dark sense of humour, talks about obscure topics, follows news religiously, foreign languages, sport. House-trained but not fanatical about it. Will be brining queen double, flexible on other furnishings.
Hi, I’m Lina. Moved here from Sydney nearly 6 months ago. Studying postgrads course in UC so will be in Canberra for a while. Love going out for food or movies. Whiskey drinker but so weak on wine 😁. I go to Sydney quite a bit to visit my family and usually spend weekend with my boyfriend when he is around. Looking for a room in a established house share or open to team up to rent a place with a right person. Ideally wanting a master bedroom with en-suite but share bathroom with one other is okay too. I’m looking to move in January or early Feb. Flexible with the date at this stage.
