I am a 21 year old uni student, looking to team up with a couple of people or find a room in a house in Newcastle. I have just finished my first year of Bachelor of Visual Communication Design and also work casually as a disability support worker. I only work day shifts so am usually at home of a night. I enjoy socialising with other housemates but also like time to myself. On weekends I like to go to the beach, catch up with friends, go for day trips to new places and occasionally have a few mates over for drinks and a platter before going out. I do have an 11-month-old kitten Nala, she is timid at first but once she gets to know you she is super loving, friendly and playful. I am currently keeping her as an indoor cat but at the right property I would like to let her be able to go outside if she wants. If you're interested then I'd love to meet up for a chat and a coffee!

Hello! I am originally from the U.S. and moved here almost 3 years ago. I am easy going and love socializing but also enjoy my alone time. Most the time I am just lounging, reading a book or dabbling in art. I try to get out and about as much as possible. Mainly going to the beach, hiking (if I can catch a ride since I don't have a car), jogging and just going on long walks to enjoy the city. I like to party but do it rarely and never bring it home. I work 9-5 in a factory in Tighes Hill as an unskilled labourer. Nothing fancy but it pays the bills! Just looking for some chill people to live with.

I am moving to Newcastle for work and am looking for some easy going and friendly housemates to move in with. I am tidy and respectful and have lived in shared accommodation for the last four years. I will be working full time so will not be home much throughout the week but will be keen to have a chat and the occasional drink and meal with others.
Quiet street with friendly neighbours. Walking distance to public pool. Woolworths and Aldi only a few minute drive. ~5 min drive to Beaumont St. ~10 min drive to beaches. Beautiful two bedroom house with two living areas, large kitchen, separate laundry and second toilet, storage shed for bikes/surf boards etc. spacious backyard (I own a labrador- so only enquire if you like dogs- she's not an inside dog). Sorry, no other pets allowed. No smokers please.
Hi I’m Lisha & I’m moving to Newcastle, from my hometown Dubbo, to start university. I’m a very tidy person who always cleans up after herself because I hate mess. I love to have fun & socialise but also need time to myself so can respect anyone else who is the same. I have family in Newcastle that I love but am needing some independence so living without them is something I’m excited for.
Large room available for rent in 2.5 bedroom cottage with garden in Mayfield. The room is available unfurnished or partly furnished, whichever you prefer. The house itself is furnished, but if you have a fridge, that'd be fantastic! Rent is $200 per week, this includes unlimited NBN wifi and your share of bills, so no extra costs. Bond will be two weeks rent. I'm looking for a tidy, non-smoking, friendly, and independent housemate. Unfortunately no pet-owners, as my cat doesn't play well with others.
Hey! This place is really convenient for transport, room faces west(ish) so perfect to watch the sunset in the evening with a warm cuppa. Otherwise the rear courtyard is a nice place to chill in, with a bonus papaya tree that grows tasty papayas year round! (save yourself some bucks on them pricy papayas at the supermarket) There's also a bit of perimeter space there if you want to get your hands dirty and do some gardening. - 4 min. walk to Mayfield shopping and cafe district - 4 min. walk to various convenient bus routes - 10 min. drive/20 min. bus or bike to University of Newcastle Callaghan campus and Newcastle CBD - 10 min. walk to Tafe at Tighes Hill - 10 min. bike to Newcastle Farmer's Markets at Broadmeadow The house: - Open plan living/dining/kitchen area - Kitchen with oven, cooktop, dishwasher and fridge - Shared bathroom with shower/bath - Laundry and second toilet - Single front undercover carport - Fast unlimited NBN internet (not included in rent but evenly split) - Water bill is included, electricity not included and bill is evenly split - Chain and lock for bicycles Your room also has two built in wardrobes and big glass doors to the balcony to let all that sweet sunshine in. Please note that the room is currently still occupied, hence the stuff in the photos.
Clean, neat home with fresh paint, renovated kitchen and bathroom. 2 x Air conditioners. Corner block with 2 large bedrooms with built in robes. Large undercover deck opening off kitchen. Optional smaller 3rd bedroom or study. Located only 3kms from Newcastle Interchange. Pets will be considered.
Hi, I’m Shane, I’m moving from Wollongong to Newcastle because I want a bit of a change and Newcastle is as far as I can move away while keeping my current (great) job. Not only do I need somewhere affordable to live while I tie up loose ends and settle in, it’ll also be good to experience the whole housemate thing, I’ve lived on my own from the get go and it kind of feels like I’ve missed a rite of passage. I’m an easy person to get along with, I have a good sense of humour, I’m friendly enough but I like my me time as well. I’m pretty tidy and I’m well practiced at doing household chores. I’m not a culinary master but I enjoy cooking and I’m ok at it. I work as a (passenger) train driver, I am a shift worker and I don’t expect anyone to be silent when I’m sleeping at odd times but I’m probably not suited to a (constant) party house. I try to be healthy and when I have spare time I’m usually off on long walks on a beach or cycle track or anywhere interesting, I also do a bit of traveling whenever I get the chance. I’m hoping to live somewhere convenient (shops/transport/beach) but one thing that I definitely need is a parking space for my car. I would also hope to live with friendly people of a similar age that are reasonably tidy. I’ll be staying (in temporary accommodation) in the Newcastle area from the 26th of November and will be happy to meet potential housemates anytime from then.
I am always up for a chat and I always cover my ends ahead of time. I work most days in town but either side of that I am always up for a laugh and a good time, be it cooking up a bbq or just having a few drinks with some good company. I am extremely tidy and rarely loud. Anything else you want to know just ask.
Hey I'm Georgia, an easy-going full time student. I love the beach and the outdoors, but also love relaxing at home. I enjoy banter and would love to live with other friendly, like-minded people who enjoy nature, good food and the occasional drinks.
I'm easy going and enjoy meeting awesome people! I keep my space clean and tidy, and do my part around the house! Hoping to move in with people who are positive and energetic as i am pretty outgoing!
We are a young married couple looking for somewhere to live for a year or so in Newcastle. Amy is a gardener and Ryan works in the environmental field. We are both tidy and super easy going, can keep to ourselves or be part of the gang. We have not shared a house before but understand how flexible we need to be to get along with others. Ryan is an avid fisherman and cook, Amy likes yoga and reading, we both love bush walking, kayaking, camping.
I'm a teacher working in Glendale area looking for accommodation for 2018. I currently rent in Maitland but have owned my own home for 20+ years prior to this and bought up three children. I like healthy food and lifestyle, cooking, shared cleaning and gardening. I'm also a yoga teacher and enjoy bushwalking and outdoors. I'm after a space where I can rejuvenate after work and prepare for upcoming lessons. I rarely watch TV but do enjoy a good comedy or movie. I would like a household that is quiet by about 8.30pm weeknights. I'm not a total bore-I like the odd glass of wine on weekends with a nice meal.
Hi! I'm a full time art student and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking to move between mid December to mid January (when the lease is up here). Thanks to a greedy tax man.. (somehow ended up OWING money this year 🤔) ..I'm not in a position to provide much bond/rent in advance at this stage.. 0-2 weeks bond is all I can commit to for now. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. A balcony or sunroom would be awesome to use as an art station. A private-ish shed space or similar would also be handy (so I can get art-messy) but both are not essential. not a big party person, being 30 i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Recently renovated house in the centre of Mayfield. Has a near new bathroom, kitchen and back deck that is great for entertaining. Close to shops and ten minutes from the CBD. The room is small, with a built in wardrobe and air conditioning.

I am a laid back extroverted guy with a good sense of humour. Have lived with flat mates for 20 years and enjoy the company of others. I am definitely not boring and enjoy a good laugh, a few drinks and good banter. I am clean, respectful of others and their property. I work in Sydney but will be spending a good amount of time in Newcastle. I am a manager working in a HR field and have my life sorted. I don't have pets and I am not a crazy nutter. Have a tendency to make others laugh and can tell a good story. Can afford rent and will always pay on time but would prefer bills built into Rent as I would prefer just a flat fee every week. Would be looking to spend Friday night to Tuesday morning in Newcastle and the rest in Sydney. Hope to talk to someone soon. Prefer my own bathroom, no more than 2 flat mates and don't mind pets but prefer dogs. Prefer around Adamstown or the beach, mayfield or Hamilton. Cheers Jeff
Hey! I'm an Engineering student at the University Newcastle looking for a place to rent. Duration: 6-12 months. Internet connection: NBN. Ensuite: Preferable. Smokers: No. I'm an open-minded person and accept people from all walks of life. Tend to be respectful of other people's space and boundaries, although I do love a good discussion. In essence, the best way to describe me is as having an INTP-T type personality. Cheers.
James, I work full time in hospitality so my hours and days are sporadic. I enjoy hanging out in my room watching movies, playing playstation or sitting outside having a quiet beer after work. I play guitar and love music but am respectful of others and only play if it won't bother anyone. Well travelled human with grand life experience who knows very little
Relocating from Armidale for work, working within the banking industry. Clean, tidy and happy to live with pets. Enjoys going to the markets, catching up with friends and spending time outdoors. Looking for people of a like mind that would work well together in a house. Not interested in student accommodation if it's a regular party house, but a few casual bevies on the weekend is welcomed.
Currently living on campus at the University of Newcastle, looking to move into a sharehouse. I go to uni at the Callaghan campus and work in Hunter St Mall, so would like to live somewhere between the two. I'm easy going, love the beach and socialising- would love to live somewhere relatively tidy and respectful but definitely enjoy going out some weekends and being around good people!
