Hey, Im Caity, I'm 24 and I have a lab/border collie mix Buster. Im a fairly active person and am looking to get fit after returning from a year and a half overseas. I'm clean, and easy to live with. I love a social house and will rarely turn down a glass of wine. 😊
I like to think I'm a very easy-going, open-minded guy. I will pull my weight around the house and love socialising however I also enjoy some quality alone time. I recently graduated Year 12, am looking to move out and will begin tertiary study at the ANU in 2017. I work in a bookshop and love having chats about movies and TV. I was born and bred in Canberra so I know the area well. I love to spend time with friends and am in a same-sex relationship. I am a very clean person and hate mess so I hope you will consider me as a potential flatmate!
I am looking for one person to share my 3 bedroom home in Evatt with me. There will just be you and I sharing the house (plus a cat!). I am 40, single, no kids and mostly do contract work for the Government. Most of the people that have lived with me have been around 30 years old. The rent is $220 per week, which is to be paid weekly or fortnightly, whichever is easiest for you. The Bond will be $800 and you will need to pay the bond in advance. As a BONUS, the weekly rent price also includes Foxtel, Unlimited Wireless Broadband Internet, Optus TV (with Stan account) and the entire house is professionally cleaned every fortnight, so you will not have to worry about cleaning too much accept for your own room. The weekly rent amount DOES NOT include utlities (electricity and gas), but these costs will be split evenly between the number of people in the house. I will consider two people if they are a couple. The price for a couple would be $270 per week, but for that you will get both rooms. If you are two friends looking for a place I will also consider filling both rooms to individuals. Contact me if you're two friends looking for a place and I will work out a price. Otherwise, I am just looking for one person to fill one of the rooms. Even if you're not looking for a room right away, get in touch, because I would rather have the right person over getting someone in quickly. I am fairly flexible with who moves in, I just want to get the right person or people. The room can either come unfurnished or with a queen size bed and small side table. It is are a decent size that easily fits a queen size bed and both rooms include a built-in wardrobe. See the attached photos. The house has two seperate living areas, both with Foxtel, so you will essentially also get your own lounge room with two lounges. One loungeroom also has an Optus TV box (perfect if you're a Netflix, Stan or English Premier League Fan). The bathroom includes both a bath and shower and will be shared only if you're a couple or two friends. Otherwise, it's all yours. The house is pretty much furnished but if you have some general furniture as well I am sure some space can be found. The house includes: - 2 separate living areas - good sized very new kitchen with gas cooking, dishwasher and heaps of cupboard space - small easy maintained back yard - an enclosed fairly private court yard with BBQ at the front - evaporative cooling - gas heating - 2 Foxtel boxes - Optus TV box - Unlimited Wireless Broadband Internet - plenty of storage space if required - off street parking Evatt is a short drive to the Belconnen Town Centre. There are two bus stops only 100 metres away and the bus takes 15 minutes to Belconnen or about 30 minutes to the City by Express Bus. You can also get a bus to Gungahlin from another bus stop that is 5 minute walk away. There is a local IGA less than 5 minutes walk away. As I said above, I am fairly easy going with who moves in and whether that is one or two people, males or female, I'm not too fussed, I am mainly looking for the right people. Suitable applicants need to be clean, tidy, responsible, considerate and respectful. I also have a cat that basically has run of the house. Unfortunately she is not a fan of other cats or pets, so you will not be able to have any of your own pets in the house. So if you already have a pet, don't like cats or are even allergic to cats then there really isn't much point in you responding to the advert. If you're interested then please send me an email in the first instance and tell me about yourself.
Gday Guys, Originally from Tamworth, moved down to Canberra 2 years ago. I am currently studying a bachelor of Marketing Management at UC, as well as working 25+ hours as a bartender at the Ainsley Football Club. I'm a very proactive person, who enjoys playing Rugby League on the weekend and generally talking or playing most things sport. I'm an easy going individual and very easy to live with, courteous and well spoken. Cheers
Love reading, animals, basketball, swimming, the odd social drink, movie nights and baking. Looking for easy going people to live with. Will be studying and working part time. $150 or a little bit more providing utilities are included.
I am a clean and tidy person. Respectful and conscientious of others. I don't drink much and am also looking for a quiet house. I loooove dogs, so if you have one, I would fit in easily. I also am always up for a nice conversation over a cuppa.
The sitch: I’m looking to find at least 1 female professional around the same age to start up a new sharehouse. I’m moving as my current landlord rents rooms individually and has chosen a 50yo woman for the other room. Nuf said. I've been lurking on flatmates.com for a while (I'm lazy), and have now decided I might as well really start looking. *I have no urgent leave date, it just made me choose a date. I just have to give my landlord 2 weeks notice. The proposal: I’m hoping to meet someone with similar ideas and a complementary personality. We could rent a 3br house first and then choose a 3rd tenant together. I’m looking for a place in the burbs around Belconnen (Aranda, Macquarie, Page, Evatt etc), though I think Macquarie/Aranda are pretty good as they’re just off Belconnen way if you work in the city. This is completely up for negotiation, though, don’t worry :) I was thinking we could look for a newer house, but really my main concern is space and light as I hate tiny rooms with tiny windows. It’s for this reason I’d prefer the ensuite/master room as they tend to be bigger. Obviously I’d pay more rent. But if the other rooms are big, that’s not a problem. I come with barfridge, biggish TV, coffee table, dryer, kitchen table. I have all my own kitchen stuff and bedroom furniture. I’m totally open to negotiating on what we need to get – couch, big fridge, washing machine etc. Me: INTJ if you put any stock in that. I’m a non-smoker. I like to play videogames (PS4, XBONE – I can definitely buy headphones if you find the noise annoying), read, write, research random crap. I enjoy Reddit, YouTube and Netflix, fashion and makeup, and play ultimate Frisbee. I’m a 2ic in my customer-service based workplace, which I find a bit draining, so I like to chill with a peaceful cup of tea after work. I love discussions about philosophical ideas, politics, any random crap really as long as it’s not small talk haha. I suppose a fellow introvert will find it easier to live with me. That being said, I can be pretty social too - I love a good movie or cards night, or chilling together on mutual days off. I’ve been living in sharehouses for around 6 years with no major dramas, but I’m really looking to make a home and you’re an important part of that. You: Introvert or extrovert, I don’t care at all, as long as you don’t expect energetic conversation for the first hour or so after work. Non-smoker. Not a first-time home leaver (unless you’re an exception to the typical kinda thoughtless housemate those guys make). Just be clean and pay the bills and we’ll get along fine.
I am a tidy person to live with. I am friendly and always up for a chat. I work part time at the moment with two jobs. Ive lived in caberra my whole life and would love to experience living out of home. I love to cook and bake and go for walks.
Hey! I'm Lachie :) I'm an easy going, 22 year old uni student studying Environmental Science. I am just trying to live the most fulfilling life that I possibly can. I love staying fit and active by riding my bike, practicing yoga and getting over to the coast for an occasional surf.
Hi, my name is Pauly! I am a working student in community services. I am a reliable, considerate and tidy person who enjoys sport, gaming and socialising! I am looking for a room in a sharehouse.
Here we have 2 available rooms for rent in a 4 bedroom house located in Evatt (North Canberra). So the house is located in Evatt, couple minute drive to Belconnen town centre. 5 minute drive to Canberra University. 10 minute drive to Canberra CBD. There is a park/field just two house down the road. The house is fully furnished, you just need to bring your own bed and what ever else you want to put in your room. Its a 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lound room, laundry, office and backyard with garden shed and another shed which has a pool table, bar and foxtel. There is plenty of room to park out the front (on the property, off the street) can have up to 5 to 6 cars parked. 1 of the rooms available has an ensuite and a walk in robe (master bedroom) so rent for this room will be $140p/w. The other room is just basic with a in-built wardrobe. Bills are not included in the rent. Bills that will need to be paid for include electricity, gas and internet. The internet is unlimited and costs $60p/m, will be divided into how ever many people are in the house. Bond is 4 weeks rent paid in advance. It is a great location and a friendly neighbourhood, if you are interested you are more then welcome to come have a look at the place. Cheers
Hi I am looking for one person (over 30) to share a three bedroom house with me (female). There are two bathrooms, a big double garage and two living areas so there is plenty of space. You will have the main bedroom with ensuite and a spot in the garage. There is a queen size bed in the room but if you have your own bed that's ok too. I have some furniture but not enough to fill two living areas so you are welcome to bring yours and make the place really feel like your own. I work regular Mon-Fri hours. I'm easy going, neat, tidy and considerate, had plenty of practice sharing. I generally lead a healthy lifestyle. Am into sport. Like food and wine. Split bills - gas and electricity. Gas heating. Shopping centre close by. Backs onto parkland with cycle pathway. Grassy backyard Small front courtyard quiet street Bus stop is about 200m away
I'm a 4th year UC student starting my second degree this year, I also work part time. Love to socialise but do also enjoy time to myself. Very clean and respectful of other people and their personal space. Ideally looking for somewhere close to the city but would be happy with anywhere northside. Ready to move in anytime in January.
Hey guys, my name is Libby and I will be moving from being a permanent member of the Defence Force to study at ANU. A little bit about me, I love spending time with my friends however I also enjoy to have my own space. I’m not a big drinker and definitely don’t go out clubbing or partying, I would much rater study or watch a movie (a tad boring). Being in the military I love to keep everything in my area super tidy and organised plus I lead an active lifestyle.
Hey! My name is Jacob and I'm a full time student at the University of Canberra studying Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation. I work part-time at Coles in Belconnen Westfield and am looking to move into a share house from my current to meet new people. I'm easy-going and like social interaction with anyone. A year long stay with other students in a share house would be preferable.
Hi everyone I just moved to Canberra from Indonesia to study Master of International Relations at ANU. I am currently staying in a temp place and looking for a room to rent for a year or longer. I enjoy movies, cooking, being outdoors and in adventures. I quit smoking, generally dont drink but i dont mind occasional drinking or being around smokers and i do clean after myself. I respect personal space and privacy just as much as I enjoy being in a company of friends and as an international student i am more than happy to make friends with anyone.
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
I'm moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate position. I'm friendly and easy-going. I love to cook and like my home kept fairly clean and tidy. Ideally I would like to share a 2-bed 2-bath unit with another non-smoking young professional female. For fun I enjoy relaxing, reading and watching Netflix. I love travelling and I am interested in exploring Canberra and the surrounding areas. Happy to live with pets. Move-in date is flexible as long at it's before 19 February.
Hi Im a 22 year old male who has moved to Canberra for study Im currently working 2 jobs and looking to move in roughly 10th January but sooner will do if need be. I am enrolled in a bachelor of science staring first term in 2017.
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
G'day, I am a 22 year old student who just completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science at University of Wollongong. I am about to commence my Master of Statistics at ANU this year. I am very studious, and will probably be spending a lot of my time studying at the uni. I am also very conscientious about my fitness, particularly martial arts. However, I don't mind the odd social drink, as well as TV show/Film/video game. I lived on campus at Kooloobong Village for the first two years of my degree, and off campus through a real estate agent (Cooper and Cooper) for the final year of my degree. I have never had a complaint at either locations.
I'm relocating from metropolitan Melbourne to commence an APS graduate programme in February 2017. I'm perhaps different to other flatmates, may be its an age thing or maturity. I'm a Taurus if that means anything to some, it just sums up in abbreviation as to what kind of person I am. For fun... I'm into computers, computer games, gadgets and highly sophisticated toys (gadgets... again). I like landscape photography, cycling (road, mtb or electric). I also like racket sports (e.g. Squash, Badminton), gym and also driving in addition to exploration and getaways. I generally keep to myself and will either ride, walk or drive to work.
Hi, I'm Sabrina, sent to Canberra by my company and having been in here for 2 months. I'm fun and laid-back, enjoying food and binge-watching movies. I work full-time but would also love to socialize!
I am willing to chip in to all household chores and can whip up some pretty good meals and would be happy to cook sometimes for my housemates. Im a nurse coming to live in act to attend university commencing 13th of feb. Im looking for an initial place to live whilst settling into uni. There is the possibility of going back to sydney in 3 months hence looking for only 3 months atm but may need to extend this depending on whether i stay in canberra or not
I'm currently from Sydney, planning to move to Canberra to study Medical Science at UC. I am a pretty genuine person who can get along with a lot of different people and respect others. I am also a quiet, clean and organised person in general, looking to meet new people who I can spend my time in Canberra with.
Hi all, I'm a teacher who's recently returned to post-grad study, and I will be moving to Canberra to make the most of the benefits of being on-campus. I'm very easy-going and happy to do my own thing but also don't mind a chat in the evenings. I've been living in sharehouses for the past 10 years in Sydney and am very adaptable, clean, tidy and considerate of others' personal space. I love to cook, grow veges, read and watch netflix. I also love riding my bike, bushwalking, sailing, making a fool of myself at beginner dance classes and generally getting out and about. I have lots of kitchen appliances, but not much furniture. Looking for an easy-going household with people who like their own space but are also happy to hang out every now and then.
