I'm about to start full-time ongoing employment with the Australian Public Service, prior to that I was working in the Royal Australian Navy. I'm trustworthy, have a security clearance from the Austalian Government and I have a NSW Criminal History check. I'm 36 years old, reasonably quiet, clean and I like my own space. I'll be working something close to the standard 9-5 Mon - Fri on top of part time study and I'll probably be staying with family a fair amount on the weekends. I'm looking for any places in Canberra within around a 30 minute commute to Canberra Airport. I do have furniture but can leave it at my current place, all I really want to take is my bed and study desk, a garage is preferred as I have a motorbike. I like to spend free time going to the gym, catching up with netflix and exploring on my motorbike, I also travel overseas fairly often to try new foods and meet new people.
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Hi, Im Cassidy im a full time ANU student studying language. I live a pretty quiet lifestyle, im either at uni or studying. But im also friendly. Im clean, tidy, quiet and reliable and i dont mind doing my share with household duties. comfortable with any animals. Ive had experience renting rooms so i know how it works well enough. It would be great to find a place near ANU, walking distance would be amazing, but i understand its not as likely, so somewhere near a bus stop is great. Get in touch, please contact me if you have a room that is suitable.
Three story townhouse. Neat and tidy backyard. Garage gym. Easy link to City. Bus stop within 100M. Pets considered - we do have an energetic Whippet and lazy Cat. Reverse Cycle AC. NBN. Netflix. Portion of utilities included in rent.
My house is a super safe, quiet little place. It's not big - three smallish size bedrooms and a shared through bathroom. It is a townhouse with shared walls on both sides, but quiet neighbours. Really close to public transport and with good proximity to shops. Rent includes water, electricity, gas and internet. Harrison is a great location which not many people seem to know about. It's at the bottom of Gungahlin region, near Mitchell, and with access to Flemington Road there's public transport direct to the city and Gungahlin. SImilarly, its near Horsepark Drive (direct access to Fyshwick) and the GDE. If you work in the city, or Belconnen, it's a great spot. Currently I have two spare bedrooms - one is set up for guests with a sofa bed, and the third is set up for yoga/Pilates. My intention is to rent out the third room (empty or with the sofa bed) and make the yoga room suitable for guests. The lounge/dining/kitchen space is in one room and is fairly well stocked. I don't have a Tv! I know it's weird but I tend to watch my iPad in bed. There's air conditioning in the lounge and a gas heater. There is a garden but it is a total work in progress. Aka, it's a dirt patch that I want to turn into a lush green space ideal for handstands and lying in the sun. I do have a small dog door from when my dog lived with me. It is suitable for smaller to medium size dogs but not quite big enough for active or larger dogs. My main hope in renting my room out is not only to find a friend, but hope the extra income can help me do some upgrades for the home, eg a dishwasher, a lawn etc. I host dinner/lunch parties relatively frequently , and have friends and family from interstate who come to stay with me, sometimes for extended periods of time eg for seasonal work.

A room is available in a 3 bedroom apartment in Franklin, the apartment is pretty new as I am the first tenant. It is furnished with a built in wardrobe, a bed, mattress and a book rack. The amenities include, dish washer, oven, fridge, toaster and nearly everything you would need. Franklin is one of the best residential suburbs in Canberra. It’s nearly a minute’s walk to bus stop, Woolworth, restaurants etc. The rent is 210 p/w and it does not include utilities, bond is four weeks rent, bills will equally divided on the house mates. I am looking for a nice and friendly person and I would prefer the ones intending to stay long term. The room will be available from 23rd May.
Hey future roomie! As you'd probably already established, I'm Georga, I am 25 years young (old) and am currently living in Franklin I moved to Canberra a little over a year ago and absolutely adore it here. I work in construction full time, and do 1, maybe 2 waitressing shifts a week at the Dickson Tradies. I quite like a drink, or 10 and love nothing more than cutting loose on weekends (I start work super early during the week so no late nights for this Grandma) I am a very social person and would love nothing more than entertaining friends on the weekends with BBQ's and wines. Not fussed on the area, anywhere North side. I come with bedroom furniture a BBQ and an outdoor lounge setting. Ideally looking for a room with ensuite, but that’s not a deal breaker. Parking is a must though. About you: I would love to live in a sociable, friendly and generally happy happy household. X
We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and although we just moved back - our parents are selling up our free digs, so we are looking for somewhere to live! Claire has been renting/share-housing (on & off) since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. We are boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna bed times. Claire does all the normal human things - talks, exercises out of necessity rather than enjoyment, watches TV, likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker extradordiare, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and claiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri-Sunday night) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband & Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we will spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with him visiting. We have some furniture so happy to share with the group, or start a house share. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra. Looking to move most likely late July to early August. Preferably we’d like you to love dogs and Chilli hates the outdoors, so you'd need to be okay with him inside. There is the possibility for Chilli to renounce the spoiled only child life to live with his dad & fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
Hello. Nice to meet you. I'm from Korea, Seoul. In Korea I'm attending university and studying social welfare. Now I'm 4th grade and wanted to have a break so I choose Canberra for Working Holiday. philosophy books are one of my favorite, running, working out, travelling but not so far, steak, potato chips, Jelly, chocolate those all my favorite and have filled my life. Now I just started to study Australia's history. I'll be pleasure that getting more information about it. I start to work bestore in Michell next monday which makes me really need home nearby
I am great to live with because... I, as I would describe myself; am pretty chilled, friendly and easy-going. I keep to myself, yet don't mind being social. I have a full-time job in the APS and in addition to being employed I am also honest and reliable which means that there wouldn't ever be any issues with rent/bills being paid on time. I would also make a great housemate because I don't shy away from practical/hands on jobs and enjoy a little bit of DIY. I am pretty handy when it comes to assembling IKEA furniture or any other items that may require assembly for that matter ;) I have a pet that I would like to have move with me. His name is Leroy and he is a Diamond Python. He lives in a fully enclosed glass tank and would live in my room (hoping the space would allow for his tank) - you wouldn't even know he was there...
Im a very sociable person, easy to get along with and like making new friends.I like having some sociable drinks but i also enjoy staying in and watching movies to have my own time or with friends! I like going to the beach and going on new adventures.I love to go to the gym and keep fit.I also love to eat food! I enjoy working and keeping myself busy.
Hi there, I will move down to Canberra from Sydney for study and work in late Feb or early Mar. I am looking for one or two females/couple to share a flat with for at least 6 months or longer, but I am flexible with the length. I am an easy going and friendly person. I like to make friends, and wish we could become good friends to hang out and have a talk with. But I do respect others' privacy at the same time. I have experience of living with a family with little kid or females over 5 years, so I have learnt how to be considerate to housemates. I am also a quiet, clean, tidy and organised person. I would like to have a room with build-in wardrobe, ideally also is furnished (but I am flexible with that if the rent is a bit lower :P). I have a car, so off-street parking is necessary, of course garage is perfect! I do want the location of the house/flat has an easy access to public transport too, although lower frequency is acceptable. I look forward to hearing some good news from you guys! :)
Student studying law and working part time. Just need a place where i can study and sleep. Ive just ended a two year relationship and would love the opportunity to start fresh and meet some new potential friends. I have rented before and am aware of the procedure.I get along well with most people but also understand everyone enjoys their quiet space. For fun i enjoy the daily grind at the gym and come home to relax and play some video games or just chill with netflix.
We are both very clean, tidy, quiet and mature people (we are a young married couple) who have rented multiple properties on our own in NSW, but wanting to relocate interstate. We will not be home all too often except for late afternoon/night time as we will be working and applying for a house/apartment of our own during our stay. We’re easy going and respectful, we enjoy down time and are more than happy to help around the house (generally won’t have to ask us to do anything as we take initiative) and treat it as if it were our very own.
It is a new house great located on Flemington road, 5 min from Gungahlin center and 15 min from the Civic. The house is full furnished and it has great facilities such as undercover parking, BQ area and Water pool. Additionally it is in front of Woolworths and two other Supermarkets. In the area you can also find several parks, two schools, restaurants, gyms and the bus stations it's just 2 m away.
An opportunity to live in the inner north situated 10 minutes from the CBD and ANU. The house itself is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom with separate toilet easy going household. It has a large covered deck that is great to relax or socialise on and a massive backyard that is also used as a car park. Inside is a great open plan living and dining as well as a large modern kitchen. The house itself is fully furnished and the room for rent is partly furnished with a Wardrobe/hanger. The selected occupant will need to provide own bed plus other desired bedroom furniture. The current occupants (mid-late 20s) are both male professionals with full time jobs in the public service. It is a very relaxed social household setting with respect for each others privacy aswell. If would like to see the place and/meet the other occupants or even just want to know more please don't hesitate to send me a message. Cheers
